Chris Cornell's widow, Vicky, penned an open letter to her late husband that Billboard published online Wednesday. 🙏 “We had the time of our lives in the last decade and I’m sorry, my sweet love, that I did not see what happened to you that night. I’m sorry you were alone, and I know that was not you, my sweet Christopher. Your children know that too, so you can rest in peace." “I’m broken, but I will stand up for you and I will take care of our beautiful babies. I will think of you every minute of every day and I will fight for you,” Vicky Cornell wrote. “You were right when you said we are soulmates. It has been said that paths that have crossed will cross again, and I know that you will come find me, and I will be here waiting."
Yeah . His family know what a sweet & good soul he was ... She was the centre of his life as were his kids. He stepped back into touring , he relapsed in these tablets & so that caused him suffering & anguish. But his family understand, I feel, & much as I accept it was a suicide, I understand the pressures & he was suffering hugely in that moment. He says in ‘never far way’... ‘every king should have a Queen’ his wife was his queen.. & ‘every Saint a sin’ .. his sin was suicide but it’s very saintly, because he was a gorgeous & good soul, his life became a lot to cope with as a result of his sensitivity. His family are amazing & all the press attention is tough but I think his wife is feisty & strong & he knows she would defend him & his honour, they were a great team & he lives a happy life with his wife & kids, it’s just a long slog & he was worked down & so it went. That’s a beautiful letter from her thanks for posting 💖

He has an incredible natural voice. Its almost haunting to hear this and to know what would happen hours later. He had some demons that's for sure but don't we all? Rest in peace Chris.
It’s eerie knowing this is his absolute last performance ever of my favorite song from Soundgarden. When I first played the game rock band in 2008, I wore this song out, lol. One of my cousins friends said I sounded like a young Chris Cornell, I was only 11, so I could definitely hit them high notes effortlessly back then. RIP Legend. Legends never die.
It's hard to accept, it's hard to imagine a world without Chris Cornell, it's hard to come to the realization that this is the last time Chris will play Black Hole Sun live... the world has lost a musical genius, a kind, compassionate man, the pain will never leave
It could have been as "simple" as him feeling his vocal range fade away. A progression for sure, but it can only take one final moment of self-doubt and loathing despite the applause to bring the hammer down. I never suspected recently, but damn am I devistated. Thanks for all you did here Chris, everyone has their limit.
I saw these guys when I was just 16 in the early 90’s at the Astoria in London. He was incredible. This album hadn’t even been created yet. May he rest easy xxxxxxxxx.
Its at 0:01 and 0:02 that you clearly see he was not all there.. He has the guitar to his left but i looks down to see where it was, and then e realizes he was not ok, that he evens stop playing and takes the mic and goes walking and singing...Very sad, amazing voice, fk depresion and adiction...I listen to this guys from seattle everyday..we gotta deal with it the best we can, and enjoy life to the max!

I understand some people may want to think it's male pattern baldness at :36, but that is clearly a patch of hair missing. You can see the redness to it. It's off center, and looks nothing like receding hair. I wish someone close to him would come forward and give some insight as to what was really going on. This is very heartbreaking to watch. Six days later, I'm still in shock he's no longer with us.
Notice how Matt keeps looking over at Kim to make sure they are keeping up the cadence where Chris has severely fallen off. Usually Matt took his queues from Chris... not in this show though. Right after Spoonman began, when Chris really fell apart, it was like Matt started looking at Chris with concern, as did Kim, then the two of them kept making eye contact with one another to make sure they could try and cover up Chris' sloppy playing and lagging vocals.

Why must you use exclamation points at the end of each of your replies? Do you feel it necessary to textually scream at me or are you just an excitable personality? Secondly, what does his wife's knowledge have anything to do with his male pattern baldness? Yeah, she would know... but again, how does that apply to *you* ? I'm not looking to get into a debate with someone who has a differing opinion. I accept that your opinion isn't the same as mine. this show makes me sad 😭😭😭
RIP
At 36 seconds there is a clear in focus shot of a large head injury on the back of his head.
I don't see a wound but I do see major male-pattern baldness just underneath the crown of his hair. The way he wears it, you usually can't tell, but in this show it just *all* feels wrong. How none of the roadies or bandmates could fail to notice this and dare to leave him on his own is beyond me.
It's very red and not very centered. At first I thought it was a bald spot as well but looking frame by frame it very much looks like an injury
+Jesse Groller I see it too jesse I noticed a ball in the back of is hair and I was like why would his hair be in a big knot in the back it's very strange I agree!
DENISE BLONDIE yea big knot on the back of his head
Jesse Groller I guess that could do it look at the NFL players with concussions and shit
