Great update Kerry, always great to get some plants potted on or planted out, you certainly made the most of your time squeezing in jobs. Love the bed frame bed, when I used cot sides in the past to grow my squashes up, the slats were too wide for the little tendrils to cling to so it may be worth draping some netting over the slats so they have smaller grids to cling too. Your tomatoes in buckets look great, I have seen some gardeners use comfrey leaves on top of the compost surface as a mulch but also when it breaks down it feeds the plants too. Your arches look great, it's all coming together, lovely job 😊

Lots of progress, the sweetcorn bed looks great, I interplanted mine with squash last year and when it comes to harvesting it’s great finding surprises amongst the tall sweetcorn

Well done. I just did a power hour down the garden. May I suggest when drilling pots or buckets you stand on the rim on either side and have both hands to control the drill. I turned my front lawn into a no dig ornamental edible complex.
Great video as always,definitely helps to get me motivated, trouble is it’s bedtime now! So I will make a list in the order I have to do things in and try to stick to it! for tomorrow. I have so much to put out, including yellow looking sweetcorn, but no space! My tomatoes are looking terrible, a lot worse than the ones you have just done, so was planning to pot them on first for a bit extra time! But can’t find any space to do that…..help! It doesn’t matter how long the days are there still isn’t enough time . This is the worse year I’ve known for strange weather, it’s been cold at night and grey days with very cold winds,then the sun comes out and it’s scorching! The poor plants have to put up with that which stresses them making them more vulnerable to slug damage! You work so hard, such an inspiration, thanks.

That timer might be nice to have. I need to take frequent breaks and checking the time often just wastes even more time. If I had a timer I could just stop and rest when needed, and keep plugging away more until the timer goes off.

Hi Kerry with miccorizal funny (all spelt wrong sorry ) To work this must be sprinkled on the roots direct this helps the roots spread out and find nutrients if its put in the soil it does nothing really. Hope this helps it's not cheap stuff and I'd hate you to waste it. We'll done on your power hour keep up with the great work and Dorey is just so cute
Sweet corn is a heavy feeder. When it turns yellow like that it is past time to get it in the ground. Be sure to feed it good after planting it out. Love the bed bed. Turn your drill to it's high setting when drilling soft materials like plastic and wood. Enjoyed the vid. Keep them coming.
Good tip - I don't think they got the seaweed powder in the hole so will give them a liquid feed next time I'm down. That's fresh compost so hopefully they'll enjoy the goodness in that. Hello Kerry, Wow hour of power, you are a go getter for sure. That is the best method to employ when there is too much to do or you are overwhelmed. I think when we just focus on doing and stop thinking we get very productive. Good job! Yes the corn looks good the yellowing is ready for a feed and sunshine from being planted out. I do love to hear you thinking out loud it is a real good way to process the things to do and get them prioritized. When I listen to folks it triggers me to remember something I wanted to do but maybe forgot or pick up a shortcut or two. Much of my garden is on per with yours many plants in similar size and state. I’m a beginner and garden because I love watching things grow and learn new things. I’m trying to sort through all the advice out there and find what works for me and my garden. Learning LOADS all the time and trying to share what I'm learning and my limited experience without a claim to expertise. I'm glad I'm helping although I'm not sure how level-headed I am 🤣🤣 - I think this year has been quite a lesson in taking on too much... but yes, I gave up on perfectionism in all aspects of life quite a while ago, and am all the happier for it!

Also Maiju, I will have you know that there are now SIX panes of glass in that greenhouse - a whole SIX!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Drilling plastic containers works better if there are two, one inside the other. The drill should go through both fairly easily. Some drill holes about an inch, 2.5 cms above the bottom on the sides. That should keep some water in the bottom.
Oh, I so enjoy watching you work! Should I rather be outside working on my garden? Yes. But in all fairness (excuse incoming), I pause your video, make notes of good tips, and google random thing I start wondering about. So I think of the hour and half I spend to get through your video as an educational, very enjoyable start to my weekend. Your plot and garden looks awesome, can’t wait to it all settling in and growing in the next months!

@dogontheplot hi yes wetter than an otters pocket lol its still growing strong its one of the few things I didn't kill this year lol not picked it or any other garlic just yet but been using scapes in cooking and im super excited to pick the ele garlic and hopefully saving more for next season and will save some in case you need some too I'm so grateful you sent those to me

Love your videos. I am doing power half hour between wind and rain. Slugs have got all my cabbage turnips pumpkins ,squash and allot of my flowers. Tried your grass and lots of other things and picking. Re sowed all the above and afraid to put them back out. I am harvesting my garlic ,because all the leaves are gone yellow , it’s small. Tried your grass and lots of other things and picking. Re sowed all the above and afraid to put them back out. I am harvesting my garlic ,because all the leaves are gone yellow , it’s small. Aw thank you Sarah and I'm sorry to hear the slugs have eaten everything. They've been particularly fond of my peas and all those million bells I bought - I can't tell you home much I spent on those plugs and now they're sorry poor skeletal things 😭 Yes roll on some good weather!!!!!
