@@matthewphilip1977 would need something to shim the bottom of the door to keep it level. would probably ask a friend to help out since it'd probably be a pain in the ass otherwise

i have exactly the same goldish-rusty-ugly old hinge. 1 of 3 is broken and i was trying to picture in my mind how to remove door, put it back, and all that without hurting my fingers... this seems like the genius method and am upset at myself for not thinking of that. I will be replacing all 3 ultimately because want all of them of the same color. Thank you!!!

Take small pieces of wood and fill it in the hole and then use the screws.

You can especially if it’s an exterior door. For interior I probably would leave them all the same.

Typically you can find direct replacement for your style of hinges unless of course it’s a weird size or maybe really old. Maybe one day I’ll make a video like that.

You might need to loosen some of them and adjust the door. Also can be done one hung at a time.

Try using a chisel or a small flat head screwdriver and pry it off. Do it carefully and slowly so you don’t damage the wood.

You may get away with 1 hinge but it’s just easier to do this with 2 since two will hold the door more aligned.

Have a question my door hing are tight but door leaves little open gap to cover on the opposite side where little air goes through, anything I can stop from filling the gap?

Maybe you need to sign your hinges. It’s hard to tell where the gap is.
