This happened to me last night on my Mitsubishi outlander 2.2 DI-D, losing £45 of fresh oil is nothing compared to what could of happened, car is parked up till the new cooler turns up, thanks for the upload mate 👍✌

@@bajsavic7127 hi, no it turns out it was just the oil cooler, it takes about 10 flushes to get the oil out of the cooling system. You can do a compression test at a radiator shop to be sure.

After marketer oil coolers ranged for $50 - $200. I have been told though (Not from Nissan) to go the genuine as they have had a lot of issues with the after market ones. Fuck me it's a lot of $$$$ though

I have an R51 Pathfinder that makes oil, via I think the return rail under the rocker cover?. Have had 2 go's at replacing the return rail ... seals. The issue is better, but still low level. Able to reliably run about 7000 Kms onto it before changing the oil. The head was cracked long ago, and the engine was K sealed about 20000 Kms ago. Can you offer some ideas for a repower or should I just abandon this very reliable old work horse. Used as a garden dump runner nowadays.

hi mate. hopefully your video is informative. just had oil cooler failute on the IVECO van - just commeting to put "more information out there " first off people may tell you its the "head gasket" - but likely it is not - symptoms - OIL IN THE WATER TANK - "in my case - loads of it - thus far - new oil cooler fitted - pipes and expansion tank - cleaned out completely - with dish washer tablets also - drove it for another day - water again full of gunk/ oil - cleaned it again today - will see how it tomorrow - - hopefully iv been cleaning out the gunk back to some normality? you would think so right :) common fault -

I have Nissan navara yd25 d40 😮done a head and have purchased a new head complete e Ngk s is still in the car do I have to remove engine to remove front cover to set all the timing marks to make sure everything is lined up to tdc head isalready set to dtc

Lacks power on take off and I have to ride clutch on hills and while towing or will still (already 1 couch replaced). No engine lights or codes on obd2 link. Also not sure if related or not , randomly will lose power when cursing up hills , feels like fuel blockage but pump accelerator pedal and goes again otherwise will just keep dropping off. Thanks for any help.

Hey guys, I got my rocker cover gasket done, new rocket cover done, had major oil leak so they re did the rocker gasket cover and sealant for gasket, seems to be fine, then black smoke started coming out so they fixed the egr and did new vacuum tubes, working fine, still minor oil leak, they replaced The cam sensor o ring, that Good now, now they say the front timing panel is weaping so Gonna fix that next service, not urgent. However still leaking! Leaking underneath chassis/exhaust line passenger side, seems to be mixture of oil and ac condensation but oil black as anything 'diesel' can you point me in the right direction?
It's a symptom of a variety of serious issues - breakage in several places can cause oil and coolant to mix. The D40s automatics also have a known fault between the radiator and automatic transmission where failure can cause transmission fluid to get into the coolant, which can wreck the transmission, engine, and cooling system all in one go.

I was told that once oil has got into the coolant then all the hoses must be replaced because the oil deteriotes the rubber..
I use soap powder to clean the system.
Can you point me to a video or give me some information that shows the steps to cleaning out the cooling system with this problem

Did you not watch the video? Theres 5 liters of oil in the coolant. Checking oil like he did would show a half liter low on the stick at most.
