Quality Mobile Video If I do the big 3 upgrade on a 1995 Plymouth voyager van with the stock 90amp alternator can I atleast install a 600 watt rms subwoofer ? So the amp will be 600watt rms at 2 ohms powering that 2 ohm 600 watt 15" subwoofer. Will it work with or without the big 3 upgrade ? Just curious because I'm new at higher powered car audio. The biggest I've installed is a 100 watt rms kicker 10" subwoofer in a gmc truck that had a 120amp alternator I believe and it sounds great ! So many people just go tearing through their vehicle, removing nuts, bolts, screws and clips and always end up reinstalling parts incorrectly, or having "extra" parts. I'm a perfectionist and have to have everything installed back to original condition. Great video man! You got a new sub for sure. One question. Did you run your power down one side and audio cable down the other? I heard that the power cable will interfere with the audio lines. Is there a component you can install in the audio cable to cut down or remove noise?
Finished my install based on this build... a few things... 1- it's a little harder to route the power wire with the 6-speed version of the car. 2- the kit that James recommended below... the ground wire isn't long enough to use that nut on the crossmember. Did the same treatment to a bolt back by the seat bracket and it worked out fine 3- this took a LOT longer than the video makes it look like! 4- couldn't find terminals small enough to make the tweeter bypass harness... I bought the ones off of Tacotunes and used those. 5- don't underestimate how much ALL of the installation materials cost... mdf, wire, crimp connections, speaker adapters if you wish to use them instead of making your own, tools, etc, etc, etc.... it all adds up. Not to mention the 20+ hours it took me to build everything. Not complaining in the least... I know it was done right and I can put it all back to stock if I have to... not a single Toyota wire was cut in the making of this video! I love my new system (bought the main pieces from you guys too!) and learned a LOT about car audio in the process. Thanks so much!!! Everything was explained very well except I got lost when you described wiring the door speakers. Also the tweeters with that loop thing I was very lost. I'm trying to learn more about the wiring in general
yes I have the same question, I think it has something to do with completing the circuit. If the tweeter is not plugged in then the connection is broken, hence the need for the jumper loops he made.
the factory tweeter has a small cap to protect the tweeter, the kenwood tweeter already has a cap in the passive xover network. The loop is just ensure the factory socket can be used back without cutting any factory wire. Correct me if I amwrong
can the stock battery drive that amplifier with that sub without having problem later on? and is it okay without a audio capacitor to boost the sub? thanks for response in advance..

Super. Which line(head set front or rear line) do we need connection for sub .(I mean head set unit front side speaker line or rear speaker line to hi/low converter)
Hi just wanted some advice on trying to do the most with what I have. Will it mess with signal at all running speakers off the wires from deck and also using rca outputs to amp running other speakers. Thank you
sufian adnan when I was 16 I destroyed my moms car. I'm now 33 and I can do clean pro installs on my own cars. trial and error is how we learn as humans.
Really great video. I have to read up and the little converter used. I am curious why you didn't use a capacitor in line from the battery to the amp? It is my understanding that the capacitor prevents voltage fluctuation in the car's voltage, preventing damage to other components (computers) in the car.
Don't think I have ever seen this clean of an audio installation. Been running subs and door speakers in every vehicle I've owned for the last 8 years. Every single time I end up always having to go back to the shop at least 2-3 times. It's not like I try to cut corners either haven't paid less then 1200$ for a setup I like quality subs and double dins.
Great video man🙌🏻 i have a doubt, could i take the one pair of rear speaker wire and connect it to amp input? Will it provide the necessary power for the amp to work?
WOW!!! Great video, i'm planning on changing my head unit, speakers, and adding a 4 channel amp in a 2009 Challenger srt8. I'm a lil nervous doing it myself but your video displays how to properly complete a professional install, I can only hope mine turns out half as good as what you guys do, Thanx Again!!!
Damn, I remember the days of garage installs in my parents house. Using a crap load of electrical tape and at times, having to find an old appliance that I could cut the power cords from to use as speaker wire or even worse, power cables! But damn, did my Alpine Type R's 12" hit hard wired to my Lanzar 1200D . Nice clean install brother. Really.. wish more "pro" installers who charge good money are as detailed as you with their installs. Worth the money!
As a german sparky (if thats a quality sign anymore), imho this is just another sort of cableporn! I myself just enjoy sorting all my work and strings just nicely just for the purpose to look back at my work to be proud of what i did there... and you, sir, are a great example of how it should be done! Just my 2 cents, good job dude!
The doors on my Corolla rattle to shit after I installed my new speakers - driving me nuts. The dynamat tips etc are gold. Will give it a try. Cheers Rolly
So do I hook up a amp same way as usual and then run the factory wires like you did to the amp? And what amp would you recommend for it & how much watts ?
I'm from Sri Lanka, and our Car Audio installers need to definitely watch this video, seriously, and this is the reason I do the audio part of my car by myself, Great Work Maan, you're a great influence to all those shitty audio system installers!!!
Would you please explain the Y harness for the rear deck a bit more. I'm confused on how the speaker wires are connected to the adapters. Thank you. @10:00
Nice video man ..had a question..was the stock radio strong enough to give enough power to rear and front door speaker + tweeters ...or did I miss something... I have a sub .and upgraded the rear and door speaker but sounds like the stock radio not strong enough to power them well ...stock radio is like the one u can have here... Thanks
after watching this im slightly confused as to why you made the y harness was it to connect to the line out converter for the sub so that there wasnt the need to run a cable from the head unit Eg a rca ??
0:42 "and we're going to change out the rear speakers because they sound like ass"
Now this is a car installer I would pay $ for! Real as hell!

sufian adnan when I was 16 I destroyed my moms car. I'm now 33 and I can do clean pro installs on my own cars. trial and error is how we learn as humans.
Buy a beater car to try the first time
Jon Casse lol u sound like me I destroyed my first car the same way no turn signals the works..lol but like u I learned
wtf happen to him in 8:24 haha😂😂
Daniel Lopez lmao that's what I thought 😂😂something poked his ass
RICHARDFLORES2100 Can confirm
Junge Robert 😂😂😂😂
He just Jizzed in his pants.
I knew someone would mention that lmao I was dying 😂😂😂
Very Cool, very professional!!!Nicely done.
Thanks Rick!
"The rear speaker sounds like ass" hahaha.. my ass sounds like a rear speaker.
Lololololol
Most likely meant that they sound like a fart
Jude Marie
Haha
The website mentioned in the video is www.metraonline.com/ took me a while to figure it out
Thanks, was trying to figure this out.
you the real mvp
Great video man🙌🏻 i have a doubt, could i take the one pair of rear speaker wire and connect it to amp input? Will it provide the necessary power for the amp to work?
WOW!!! Great video, i'm planning on changing my head unit, speakers, and adding a 4 channel amp in a 2009 Challenger srt8. I'm a lil nervous doing it myself but your video displays how to properly complete a professional install, I can only hope mine turns out half as good as what you guys do, Thanx Again!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! 👌😎
i love ur work nicely done men
Great video. I would hire this guy to install my system, excellent and clean wiring.
Love your job❤️, I wish you were in Saudi Arabia 💔
Damn, I remember the days of garage installs in my parents house. Using a crap load of electrical tape and at times, having to find an old appliance that I could cut the power cords from to use as speaker wire or even worse, power cables! But damn, did my Alpine Type R's 12" hit hard wired to my Lanzar 1200D . Nice clean install brother. Really.. wish more "pro" installers who charge good money are as detailed as you with their installs. Worth the money!
LMFAO we've all been there
Nice job! Do you have a recommendation for an aftermarket system for a 2007 BMW X3?
4:20 sounds like he is rapping to the music in the bacground😂
Don’t use wood it will get wet from the door then expand and mess up your door
That’s a very clean job , just perfect 👌
As a german sparky (if thats a quality sign anymore), imho this is just another sort of cableporn! I myself just enjoy sorting all my work and strings just nicely just for the purpose to look back at my work to be proud of what i did there... and you, sir, are a great example of how it should be done!
Just my 2 cents, good job dude!
The doors on my Corolla rattle to shit after I installed my new speakers - driving me nuts. The dynamat tips etc are gold. Will give it a try. Cheers Rolly
Highly recommend it! Seriously works plus improves overall sound quality
You try doing this now you'll spend like 750 dollars

Just fucking awsome!
Better than factory
Fatlum Pantina that's kinda the point 😂

Nice install
Awesome work, you make it look easy. I've installed car audio systems in my own cars over the years and always it's been a pain. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks David!
great video can you please tell me if cutting out the door plastic where the speakers are makes a difference?
The water covers?
Quality Mobile Video no. the panel of the door so you will see the speakers trough . I wonder if the trim attenuate the sound
Man that was A SOUND SYSTEM OVERHAUL...not an "Install" !!
wow thank you I learned so much
🙌🙌🙌
Wish I knew what the hell I was doing so I could do this myself lmfao this is confusing
Lol it ain't easy
All the audio shops in my area of the city are too sketchy lol
You got this!
Thank you!

Thanks
i would never in a million years put this much work into a v6

FAN†Δ 2 ***i4 (inline 4 cylinder)
+Akshat Singh aren't there a few v4 motorcycle now?
$300 speakers, $1250 install.
Accurate
It would have been nice to hear what you were saying, But that awful background music was drowning you out
Holy shit bro. That was super professional. Crazy amount of little details went into the build, great work man!!
Thanks Gabe!
after watching this im slightly confused as to why you made the y harness was it to connect to the line out converter for the sub so that there wasnt the need to run a cable from the head unit Eg a rca ??
slow clap
lol
Lol way to professional for my liking😂
sells car next day...
@Christiano Delgado the labor cost would 1/3 my daily car
I have watched so many audio installations. Never have I ever seen something done so neat and clean. Well done. Great job. Subbed.
Thanks Santino! 🙌🙌🙌🍕🍕
If I am adding a 4 channel amp to my set up. The speaker wire output goes to my pioneer stereo harness or my vehicles harness? Or.both?
