Wow,who said HBK/Flair couldn't have main-evented because the ending would have been a downer? That's such a stupid argument,& this Wrestlemania's ending proves why.

for me this mania was the most unique and just epic. it felt like a big deal and everything including the feuds, stage/over ring structure tent and the vibes of the show were so amazing. the theme songs i loved also. the matches all had believable false finishes. solid mid card and solid main events. great faces and great heels. the look of the show and just in general the flow of the show was amazing. it all felt bigtime. nostalgia.
This mania sucked , yeah Greta stage , great feeling but the matches sucked into like 3 good matches the rest was bad

it had an ok opener a cool battle royal a very fun triple threat match a decent hhh and sheamus match good cena vs batista match good jericho vs edge match bad bet hart vs mcmahon match fun mitb ladder fun women's tag (my opinion) and good match between mysterio and punk and great hbk taker match so it was an awesome mania my opinion
WM 26 was kinda lackluster. I don't know why but a lot of matches felt short on time (Batista vs Cena was still really good, Punk vs Rey, Tag Title match). Edge vs Y2J bored the hell out of me mostly with the crowd dead (still to this day never got the point of this feud with Edge turning heel right after it). Bret vs Vince was 13 years in the making.........AND BLEW HARD........
WM26 Has a special place in my heart, mainly.because of the kid sitting next to me, he kept yelling racial slurs at sheamus, then during the Bret Vs Vince match, he yelled "shove the chair up his butt" and "kick him in the balls". And then he argued with some guy over who was gonna win Michaels Vs Taker. Boy was it hilarious.
Agreed. Batista vs. Cena was a great feud an the match at WrestleMania 26 wasn't too bad either, could have been a bit more but was good nonetheless.

I quit watching wwe after this show, I truly had cena enough and with hbk and taker leaving I couldn't deal with wwe anymore, then Rock came back and I got interested in the product again in 2012
John Cena vs Batista was an awesome feud and that match was also very good IMO, that and the HBK/'Taker match and feud were both epic. Overall, I'd say this WrestleMania was solid through and through.
One of the botch a manias had Swagger undoing the briefcase with Terry Funk yelling "Forever".
Kofi Kingston could've won the MITB, going back to the push he was gettin a few months before. Obviously Sheamus and either Rhodes or DiBiase should've gone over here, but the Breakfast Club ain't doing no jobs at Mania. Am I the only one who actually liked the Bret vs Vince match and enjoyed McMahon getting his ass kicked? I agree it went a bit too long, but they told a great story. I definetly wouldn't call it one of the worst matches in Mania history. I do think Edge winning the World title would've been the best decision, but I'm fine with Jericho winning, especially since Swagger cashed in on the next SmackDown. HBK vs Taker was the match of the year for the second time in a row. I prefer the first match from a wrestling prespective, but this one told a better story, partly because of the one year build up to it. Both matches are amongst my favorites.

Yeah, really thought Dibase Jr. or Cody Rhodes should have went over. I'm pretty high on Dibase. Sure he probably wasn't as over with the other fans, but I thought he had talent.

I for one think that Edge was so over at this time that he could've lost at Mania and still been ok as long as he and Jericho had a long-drawn out feud that showed their strengths and ended with Edge getting the win at a big PPV.

26 is a stacked card but the problem is babyfaces won all the matches. I mean none of the mid card matches had any drama what so ever. I remember going back watching old manias, and seeing the drama in the mid card when the face lost, and it would make you want to see what will happen next. This show just felt like let the good guys win and make people happy all around. Only heels that won were Sho-Miz and really who cared about them. Jericho, but honestly Jericho's gimmick was getting stale at this point, Swagger like you said who cared about him, and Team Vickie, but her heel heat was like gone when she attempted to tribute to Eddie. Definitely a stack midcard with good matches, just not good story telling at all on this card.

From WM 23 - 29 the legacy of the showcase of the immortals has been a joke as it pertains to those shows as a whole and it really sucks to say that as a longtime fan.
WM 23, 24 & 28 are all good to great shows. The others you can bash
They had good moments but as an overall card with exception of a match or two they hard to remember,as a whole they were very lack luster, but still enjoyed 28 even though it was a only three matches that mattered.

+Re-view Film yeah it had the same in ring stuff from the first one PLUS an amazing storyline with it i where love the end espacially almost to shawn vs rick standards

Gonna have to agree, I think 26 had the superior Taker/Michaels match. Shawn didn't have anything to lose when he faced Taker at 25. Meanwhile, for 26, both men had it all on the line, and it justifiably made up for the error that 25 did of not having those two main event the card.
Well I have to disagree wholeheartedly...BUT storyline/storytelling in the match I could understand why one would think that. But athletic storytelling, move for move, the story as a "great matchup" in the ring and the in-ring work itself with the perfect use and execution of spots, 25 is superior in that regard unquestionably.

Because vince originally wanted them to start working with the younger guys.
HBK's swan song..... well, as a wrestler anyway. He'd referee a 5-star match at WM 28 and make a surprise appearance at WM 31. I feel like we haven't seen the last of him though. I wish he could compete again, don't we all though.
Shawn Michaels is 6-11 at Wrestlemania, but he's not called "Mr. Wrestlemania" for his record.
This WM wasn't one of the best, but it was enjoyable to say the least. Taker vs HBK 2 comes to show that you're always guaranteed an awesome match when those two go at it! But it was nowhere near as good as they're first one at WM 25. Cena vs Batista was yet another great match! Despite not being the best in ring workers, those two have quite an incredible chemistry.
I honestly thought that Drew should have won the MITB that year since it would have made sense since he was the chosen one of Vince McMahon.

For me, I know, I know, I may sound like an idiot, but hey this business is all opinionated, this Taker/HBK match is my favorite match of all time, now I realize that the match that they had at 25 was better when it comes to purely wrestling but I feel that this one told such an important story, and it holds a special place in my heart, being my arguably favorite wrestler of all times last match in Shawn michaels
What the main event does show is after all these years the wwe were relying on 2 guys close to 50 years old to save their arses. They still havn't found people to fill their shoes and now instead of relying on 2 they are relying on 1...oh and he's crocked. The show is over and has been over for many years. Until the company completely change the format of the shows it won't ever return greatness. The company will always be big enough to sell tickets to mugs with more money than sense and this is why they refuse to take any risks any more with booking and the whole format is largely unchanged. I mean Raw is shit 9 times out of 10 and is a shadow of it's former self (it's twitching like a dead corpse). Why not just ditch it and start afresh with something totally new and different (not just a name change).
Edge/Taker followed Flair/Michaels just fine, and let's be honest, any doubt with Flair possibly winning at 24 goes out the window if you main event that. One might say that about Main Eventing Taker/Michaels at 26, but it doesn't do the same thing, because ending the streak would go on last just as well as would the end of a great career.
This show was mediocre, The card structure was good but they did a piss poor job in giving the matches enough time. The World Title Matches should've been longer, Punk/Rey should've been longer, Bret/Vince should've been only 2 Minutes, even Taker/HBK felt pretty short.
WM 26 was carried by the strength of the three main events, Cena/Batista, HBK/Taker and Edge/Jericho along with a good but short Punk/Rey match. But Bret/Vince and the divas match were duds, Orton and HHH going over did long lasting damage to Dibiase and Sheamus and the MiTB match was a bit of a mess with the wrong guy winning with an embarrassing finish.
Honestly, I feel like Sheamus shouldn't have won the championship when he did, & Randy Orton should've feuded with Kofi Kingston until WrestleMania. Have Kingston win the Breakthrough Battle Royal on RAW (lastly eliminating Orton), & Cena beat him at TLC (but not burial style, so a good 15 minute match). Then at the Rumble, have the Cena/Kingston/Orton match for the title (with Cena coming in as champion & Orton leaving champion, pinning Kingston), and have Sheamus just be a badass in the Royal Rumble (like final 5 or 6). At Elimination Chamber, have the participants for the RAW Chamber be John Cena, Kofi Kingston, Batista (as a reward for helping Vince McMahon with Cena & Bret weeks before), Sheamus, Triple H, & Randy Orton (without Priceless, as there's been a lot of tension building). After HHH (entrant #1) & Orton (entrant #2) start the match, have Kingston enter 3rd, then Sheamus, then Cena, then Batista. In order, Kingston eliminates Orton (via suprise roll-up), Sheamus eliminates Kingston & HHH, Cena eliminates Sheamus, and Batista eliminates Cena (after Sheamus Brogue Kicks Cena) to leave champion. That sets up Kingston Vs. Orton (with the former ultimately winning after Priceless turns face on Randy Orton, breaking up Legacy), Sheamus Vs. HHH (with Sheamus winning both here and at Extreme Rules), & Batista Vs. Cena for WrestleMania 26. After WM, have Randy face Cody Rhodes on RAW & punt him after the match, leading to him facing Ted DeBiase at Extreme Rules.
P.S. Having Kingston face Orton, ShoMiz lose the tag belts to The Hart Dynasty, & having Truth, Swagger, & Morrison (the ultimate winner) in the pre-show battle royal (with the added stipulation added that a shot at the Miz's U.S. Title the next night on RAW at stake, just to make it mean something) would knock the total number of participants in WM26's MIB match down by 2.
I definitely don't feel that the Bret/McMahon match is the worst match in WM history, I feel that matches like Khali/Kane and Gonzales/Taker are way worse and the sad thing is that these guys can't wrestler, Bret and mr that is yet they put on a better match than the ones I named
This WrestleMania to me was an improvement over 25 and the right match main evented finally. It was a fairly good card with a few flops but i was really let down by the Bret/Vince match. Bret just looked bad and shouldnt even been in the ring fighting and Vince did his best to sell but it just looked terrible.
I was disappointed with edge losing. But Wrestlemania 26 is my favorite Wrestlemania ever 💯.

Wrestlemania XXVI had a better Card Structure than 25, beside Shawn & Taker II had a very good Batista and Cena Match. But still it was a very forgettable Mania uugghh!! Orton vs Di Biase vs Rhodes what was that?? Just like the Money in the Bank oh God.. Speaking of him going over Sheamus was dumb. Punk and Rey was eehh?? My All Time Favourite The Hitman & Vince terrible, Y2J and Edge Ok, but also the wrong decision.

This was a good show. Taker vs HBK was as epic and amazing as 25, Cena vs Batista & Y2J vs Edge were 2 really good title matches, Rey vs Punk was solid but Punk should have fuckin won. MITB was ok but fuckin swagger shouldn't have won, HHH vs Sheamus was ok but Sheamus should have fuckin won, Legacy match was ok but Randy shouldn't have fuckin won. This show match quality wise was really good but it had a lot of fuckin dumbass booking decisions.

i know it was special for flair fans and old school fans, but thats not the type of match you end a mania with.
If it had ended the show would people bitch about the classic 5 star match between Edge and Undertaker not main eventing.

Nope don't try to take this one match for a major title that Jericho EVER one at a Wrestlemania and try to say Edge should have won. This is the one match at a Wrestlemania that us jericholics can be happy about that he actually won. Also cuz I saw this in person.
It was an incredibly stupid decision since it had no pay off since he lost to Swagger 5 days later... You could've had an Edge vs Undertaker type Fued. That goes on for most of the year over the title that felt big... But since Swagger one and Kane cashed in the WHC had its worst year of Booking in WWE were none of the fueds/matches over it are that memorable and didn't reach the potential they should've

Yeah, it was an awesome moment/visual. It was as if taker was going to make sure hbk wasn't going to kick out and just end it, period.
So 26 Wrestlemanias in and you've complained about almost all of them, do you even like wrestling?

While Taker vs Shawn 2 wasn't bad.....it really wasn't as good as the previous year. Very little psychology, not as much excitement, and just not as good at all. And it was this match that started the trend of awful Taker finisher-fests for every year afterwards (3 Tombstones and 3 Superkicks in this match alone....WHY?)
