Masterpiece of a movie! Sergio Leone and Morricone were pure geniuses. Rest in peace legends!
DAS IST NICHT DER RICHTIGE FILM
@@leopart1- Was meinst Du? Es ist der richtige Film ! ?
What do you mean? It is the correct movie !?
Piece or peace? 😂
The best Western movie ever made, and the greatest movie soundtrack ever.
Leone and Morricone. There will never ever be a greater duo. Timeless.
The most beautiful western with the greatest soundtrack ever that Hollyweird could never produce.
I saw this movie as a kid. Now, I am an old man and seen this movie several times over the years, and yet, it remains one of the few movies I never get tired of watching, no matter how many times I have seen it. As far as I'm concerned, Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone was the perfect partnership between sight and sound in the world of cinema.
I agree. A timeless masterpiece. 😌😌
also because it is a western is a timeless film. And never get dated
@@michaelroger6454 Yes. And it always amazed me that an Italian could somehow make a western that was (to me) better than a lot of American made westerns.
same like me 4 or 5 times on year i wath move
@@albertchin1050 Italians could also make the West in the best possible way. So making a film is peanuts.
Magnificent score by Ennio Morricone. Truly an artist.
The best western ever made. The best score ever made. The best performance by Fonda ever.
A masterpiece. Claudia Cardinale is simply stunning and the soundtrack breathtaking. I will love this film always.💕😌

Claudia Cardinale was so beautiful, I remember watching this movie as a child and I fell in love with her!
You must see her now she is older off course but still she have that beauty, temperament, eyes wild beauty
and when i look it today- im stunned how strong and cool she was/played...
How could you not?! Breathtaking beauty. 😌💕
@@nenaradicevic8079 It is the eyes. Alas we all get old...if we are lucky but she still has that sparkle behind her eyes.😌😌
I was named after her. My father gave my mother the options Claudia or Sophia ( his favorite actresses) and my mom was a big fan of westerns .
RIP Signore Morricone, you were absolutely one of a kind, giving us music like no other. What a legacy you leave behind. Thank you, thank you.
take a listen to patricia janeckova's magnificent version of 'once upon a time in the west' on you tube.
Absolutely! Was listening to his music - some of it ! on ABC Classic FM last night! Beautiful, incredible music in it's own right but moving also because I grew up watching, with my father who saw it as part of his mission in life as a father I think to educate me on the classic movies! - Bond (with Connery).,, the Godfather movies & the so called 'spaghetti westerns" starring Clint Eastwood, westerns with John Wayne and the classic Shane!
Also love the movie music of Nino Rota- particularly the music he created and wrote for The Godfather films!!!! It never fails to move me!

i know she would do credit to nino rota if she sang any of his music.

Ennio Morricone was a genius...pure & simple! His works were beautiful, compelling ...yet musically simplistic . Again GENIUS...

If the sounds & images of Once Upon a Time in the West don't stir your emotions, you might be dead! Great Film.
Masterpiece! They don’t make movies like that no more, and probably won’t ever again.
The greatest film ever made, and the greatest film music ever composed !
Ian, Better to say: ONE of the greatest film ever made !
Indeed
One of my favorites of all times, perfect blend of scenery, sound, storytelling and Claudia Cardinale..

Unforgettable music score by Maestro Ennio Morricone!
Best western ever. Thank you, Sergio Leone.
And Ennio Morricone
Not forget Maestro. Without him that just a cowboy movie. Ideal cowboy movie, but not legend like now👍
Yes Epic
Better to say: ONE of the Best Western ever !
The great man is dead. What a loss ... Ennio Morricone to the world of music.
Yes he has moved on but he's really not gone with his wonderful music & his memories that he has left us, I think we r really fortunate to be able to live through his life works & always remember that he was a beautiful creator of sound. God bless him always

Definitely!
Absolutely!
Best MOVIE ever made!!!!!!!!!
For sure this soundtrack is beauty beyond compare
The movie, The music, the cast, but above all .... Claudia, you just can't take your eyes of her
Shot in 70MM. Real FILM. Those close-up shots with the perfect lighting and make-up IS ART.

Best movie ever, best soundtrack ever, R.I.P Sergio Leone, Ennio Morricone, two genius
Two GENIUSES. Never equalled, and never emulated.
Sergio leone was the one that made clint eastwood famous for those spagetti western great man
Abosolutle
Addio Signore Morricone, I loved watching old spaghetti westerns with my father and we would always be left amazed by the soundtrack. Thank you for being apart of my childhood.
My favorite move. Fonda in his darkest role ever. Bronson,s best acting role, "Robard"brilliant &devilish,Claudia Cardanale beautiful as the widow &Ennio Morocone,s hauntingly beautiful film score. I could watch over &over ¬ be bored
I've probably seen this movie about 20 times and never never get tired of watching it. A masterpiece that didn't get the recognition it deserved, one of the best made movies of all time. Morricone's soundtrack is also a masterpiece and unequaled IMO.
If you've only seen it 20 times your not a true fan.
They were Italians, not Americans. The US Academy in charge of the Oscars didn't like it when the GREATEST cowboy Western was made; and those who made it weren't Americans. It never even got an Oscar nomination, as I've heard.
So the film underwent a lot of cuts before public filming as to WATER DOWN the masterpiece and make it less than what it is.
That process never went down with Gone With the Wind.
I like this movie a whole lot better.
Beautiful and awesome RIP Ennio
Morricone alone was a genius, but along with Leone they where a league of their own, I never tire of watching or listening to their films and music,
Casting Fonda as the villian was a risky move at the time, but he did nail the rule, he should've been nominated for an academy award

I just finished the documentary on Sergio which came up in 2022. I directly came here. I don't know how to say but no one can make movies like him. Thank you Sergio Leone. You will always be remembered with love.
I'm in my mid 40s and I've watched it 4xs, saw it last yr for the first time and was thoroughly impressed with the music and the Cinematography.. It is my most favorite film by Sergio and the music by Ennio is the best.. Two geniuses collaborating made a beautiful film that I believe cannot be compared to any other western
...
I absolutely agree, although I think the good, the bad and the ugly is slightly better...
This truly was a western masterpiece..RIP....everybody🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Goddam, this movie and soundtrack are indelibly etched in my mind. Saw it for the first time at the age of 5 in 1969 and have never tired of watching it. This is where cinema becomes art Unbelievable!
Your story is our story, too !
I cry every time I hear this soundtrack by Ennio Morricone. The absolute best. And it helps make this movie one of the best, and the best western, ever.
The same for me. I am a 70 plus male, and still cry each time I hear the main theme. This must be one of the top three film scores of all time, if not the best Morricone was a genius. Also listen the the soundtrack of CINEMA PARADISO, I cry to that as well!!

The best movie scored by the best composer, writing his best soundtrack, some of the best actors of their time, the most beautiful woman that ever walked the Earth, great director with a vision that brought something world hasn't seen that time .... masterpiece. That music gives me shivers every time I hear it.
Once Upon a time.
The greatest movie ever made. Nothing comes close. And the soundtrack is awesome and unparalleled. Simply genius. Almost other wordly.
I saw this movie in the cinema as a kid when I was about 7 more than 45 years ago and ever since it has become the favourite movie of mine. I have seen lots of great films but no other film has made a greater impression on me than once upon a time in the west. I have always loved Morricone's film scores including this film's magnificent score. He has always been my favourite film music composer. Then some decades later when internet became available I found out during one search for Ennio that I was born on the same day, November 10, as him only in a different year. What a magical coincidence I was completely unaware of while listening to his film compositions endlessly.
This has and is the best western ever made everything thing in this film is perfect 👏👏
Awesome! The best Leone film! It’s been said in the comments already but this is movie is also the definitive western. This is also the brilliant Morricone’s gem of a sound track and score amongst all the other diamonds he wrote! RIP Morricone.
Ennio and every actors live forever with humankind. I became a fan of Charles Bronson after watching this movie. He was like a lonely wolf.
Une très belle musique . Il était une fois dans l'ouest.
Sergio Leone The Master Visualiser! Ennio Morricone The Master Musical Genius! If Leone did The Visuals then Morricone did The Rest! LEGENDS OF Cinema

Once Upon A Time In The West: A movie music score masterpiece for the ages. RIP Ennio Morricone
There will never be another one like him. I have written my novels listening to his music for different scenes in my books. The moment I find the right composition for a certain part in the story, the ideas flow effortlessly. I have loved Morricone's music for decades.
Vraiment c'est triste en 30 ans tout à changé ,de très bons acteurs, des films extra, merci à vous tous
One of the most beautiful movie of all time. Henry Fonda, Claudia Cardinale, Jason Robards roles was amazing and Charles Bronson as Harmonica was just the perfection for me. Sergio Leone script is beautiful and the soundtrack of Morricone is breathtaking great tribute man !

Nicely done with excellent editing....... Ennio Morricone; passed away now, but his music will never die. In 500 years , when we are forgotten dust, the first starship will leave with Morricone's music on board. RIP music genius.
Not only it was probably the best western movie ever produced, but the music couldn't have been any better. Just listening to the sound of the music brings back the actors back to life.

Fantastic movie my wee mum god bless her soul loved this western and the beautiful music in it
I just completed 15 yrs old and I went to see this move exactly 47yrs ago. It's a classic.
a masterpiece.
Stars stars everywhere , but that shining light Claudia Cardinale upstages them all. Music not bad either. A must watch film. The “young” Fonda is so well done.
His music blew my mind when I first heard it as a child, and still takes me to a far far better place, You only get a Ennio Morricone once in a generation and for me he was my Mozart.
For me, he was like Beethoven. Music to the heart and soul.
Well their feeling for romance was at work in that, and reached out to Eternity-
I so,,,,, agree. With you,,,
Awesome movie!
Great cast and unforgettable music score. Morricone was a master!
Long live those spagetti westerns!
"If it's not a spagetti,it ain't a western" Thanks!
That's why this is a masterpiece, the scenery, the actors and off course the soundtrack, every thing in this movie stands out. I've watch this movie in my youth and still enjoys watching it today, in the year 2020
FILM orgoglio ITALIANO nel mondo!!! Thanks Morricone e Leone ^^
I love this take on the story. From the moment that Jill McBain's theme begins at about 0:30, you really get the feel for how each of the interwoven characters are swept up in this awful tragedy, some good, some bad, some just caught in between. They cannot change who they are. The are doomed and destined to carry out their respective parts in the sad events that must inevitably unfold, as surely as a billiard ball will fall to the ground under gravity. Unlike other western movies, this one makes you really feel it. It isn't just a story, it is peoples lives and it is a horrid roller coaster ride of raw and rugged emotions. The greatest western tale of them all.
