What a scene ,most probably one of the best in history, Claudia Cardinale deserved min 2 Oscars for those precious 3 mins....not a word uttered and so much communicated ...

And then there's Frank's (Henry Fonda) death scene, towards the end, where he lays dying and asks Harmonica (Charles Bronson) one last time, "Who are you?"
Harmonica answers him, without saying a word, but simply by "returning " Frank's harmonica to him in the same way that it was "given" to him (Bronson) so many years ago. That scene alone, in my opinion, made this movie the perfect revenge flick.

No disagreement here...
Very few true Western fans would argue...though I have to say the combination of Leone / Morricone was magical in all their films - the close ups, cinematic widescapes and emotive music could tell a story even without words. Bronson was born to play this role and having Fonda as Frank was pure genius by Leone.

This was my Grandmother’s favorite song; she passed away three years ago at Christmas after around 8 years of fighting (she had cancer). She was working at a hospital as a nurse for many many years, and she wanted to make everyone’s life better. I was 17 years old at that time as she passed away. This beautiful song was played at the request of my grandma at her funeral. My grandfather loved my grandmother so much, that he passed away after some months (he also passed away of cancer), and because this song was my grandmothers favorite song and this song was played at her funeral, my grandfather also wanted to have this song played at his funeral. So, this beautiful and sad song reminds me of them all the time I hear it, and it brings tears to my eyes. I miss them…

There is more acting in those two gazes lasting few seconds than in most movies made today.
Sergio Leone could catch the best of the actor´s face moments. He was a master of the close up. A master of the facial emotions for seconds. That´s it.
Absolutely...the magic of Leone's close-ups, cinematic wide angles, simple industrial sounds of doors creaking, wind blowing and genius of Morricone's emotive score tells a story even without words. Legendary film and all the actors / actresses are perfect in their roles. Todays' films don't even come close.

Brilliantly acted by Claudia Cardinale. The look of hope on her face that then slowly extinguishes as she realises he`s not going to stay is for me, one of the greatest scenes ever. Heartbreaking but brilliantly done.

@@robertcowley3027 Yes it is Dulce Pontes, Edda never sang this song, she just hummed the original melody in 1968, until that the song didn´t have any lyrics, Dulce was in fact the first one singing the song in 2003, after Enio and Dulce released a portuguese version of this music with lyrics in 1st January of the same year.
