Fellow freelancer here! I completely agree with all of your points. One thing I really miss about a 9-5 are the benefits. Not all freelancers can work remotely, and if I'm sick, then that's money I'm losing out on. I caught covid twice in the past year and that was basically a whole month's worth of income lost. It really hurt me financially, and the same goes with vacations. I really miss PTO and sick leave LOL. Also in America, health insurance can be really expensive when you buy on your own.

Doing your taxes as an independent contractor is a whole thing too I'd have to agree on your final point that while I really enjoy freelancing and the freedom from it, I think I eventually do want to go back to a 9-5

Thank you so much ❤
May the hay while the sun shines! Hustle is REAL but the liberation to work on your own terms can make the journey worthwhile ❤
Love that!

Why don't you start a business instead? You can also hang out with people.
