2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Review

  • The 2015 Challenger is the only way to go if you want that true heritage muscle car that your grandfathers drove back in the 70's. Everyone else in the manufacturing world has lost their touch and there sense to design when developing these type of vehicles. People that buy these vehicles want that blast from the past and the 6.4L Hemi certainly delivers it! The Challenger was never intended to be that amazing track car. It was made for those long highway cruises and the WOT bursts under the bridges to remind you of what your driving. Have I sold you on the car yet? The Scat Pack in this review is the best bang for your buck out of all models available (except for the Hellcat....I don't think I have to explain why). All honestly, SRT is lucky to have such an amazing CEO. That guy knows what is going on and it shows with SRT's product line.

    Thanks for the great comments. We will always try our best to give the most amount of information to our viewers without our own opinions. That's what makes a great review.
    Our goal however is much greater. Eventually we want everyone to interact with the community and tell us your opinions on the vehicle. We don't drive all the cars we review. The best reviews come from the people like you guys that pre-ordered the vehicle. Your our biggest fans.
    Eventually our site will be up and running. We have a construction page that were going to further develop but the real page is still being organized and being prepared for something much bigger. Stay tuned.

      Thanks. I also agree with you. All your really missing out on is an upgraded brembo brake package and a better suspension setup. From there I am pretty sure that you can get everything else as upgrades. I haven't checked yet but there may be an even better rear diff. Maybe will review the 392 to have a comparison.

    this car has a lot of ok feathers on the menu you can check the voltage of the battery which Is great if you do not have a dmm or a scan tool if equipped with one there is also trip a and b which I like the touch screen is not bad because you chould do everything with the screen. I like the surround sound system

    not bad but the 392 is not a sohc engine. It's a cam in block or more commonly know as a push rod engine

    • @TccrsCaofficial
      @TccrsCaofficial  9 років тому +2

      Your absolutely right! I meant to say "OHV" with a push rod setup. I should have caught that since I know the internals of that engine inside and out. I actually had a 2006 Charger R/T that I upgraded the camshaft with Inertia Motorsports "Spartan" camshaft. Excellent camshaft setup if anyone is interested. The best tuner around goes by the name "Diablo Toona". You guys can find him on the Charger forum sites. He also does custom tunes for mild modifications. Everything is done through the Diablosport Predator. Thanks for the correction.

      Rob Dorgan I was correcting him in the video which he just made a simple mistake even though he knew what he wanted to say. However I don't see the point why you're commenting on here.

      97jag440 my French is a little off , sry . My point is that ppl bash pushrod motors all the time , but Mopar's 707 hp beast is a pushrod motor , period .

    I'm getting one of these as my first car soon. A few questions though, they may seem random... 1, we live in canada eh, so snow is an issue we deal with. How is this thing in the snow? Because if it's rear-wheel drive like the mustang then getting stuck might be a problem, right? And yes it's heavier than the camaro and the mustang but is it heavy enough that it won't slide around so easily?
    2nd question is dumb... I want the ugly lime green colour, but I also want the hood and trunk to be black. I'm pretty sure I can't just buy it like that so where do I even begin to look at getting that done? I'm also very hesitant to do anything to it, being a new car and the kind of car it is... And you never know who you can trust to paint your brand new car and get it done well.
    Yeah, as you can tell I'm a complete noob with anything car related. I want to learn though. Thanks for the informative video. It helped me out and Im hoping to hear back.

    • @TccrsCaofficial
      @TccrsCaofficial  9 років тому +1

      Well from owning a 2006 and a 2007 dodge charger I learned starting in second gear and buying premium snow tires cure the issue. I had Michelin x-ice 2 tires and was fine. You have to be reasonable with the throttle.
      Instead of painting the hood and trunk I would recommend them to be wrapped. It doesn't cost much. Most body shops know someone that can do it. If you ever decided to sell the car just take the wrap off and your good to go.

    • @Roberta_Esposito
      @Roberta_Esposito 9 років тому

      Marth Lhant my young friend , you can FORGET about this car 5 months out of the year . It is thoroughly IMPOSSIBLE to get the car to move 6" in the snow . PERIOD! I put my 400lb weight set in trunk and car LAUGHED at me! Plus the tires are " WARM weather ONLY" tires . You WILL DIE if you use them below 41 degrees!

    Is that type of gauge included with the scat pack and the SRT 392?

    • @TccrsCaofficial

    Gj talking about the features and plugging the dealership. I guess if I want an actual review of the car Ill go elsewhere. Change the title.

    • @TccrsCaofficial
      @TccrsCaofficial  9 років тому +1

      That's the whole idea of our channel. We go through all features of the car and give you an unbiased review. We've created a website with a forum thread for each vehicle in order for the community to give you there opinions on the vehicle. We don't add our opinions into the main review for a few reasons:
      1. We don't work for the dealers. They provide the vehicles in exchange for shout outs of there dealerships. You'll notice that we deal with reputable owners only. We seek out the highest rated dealers in the GTA to give the community some options. If we started to add our own opinions in our reviews, people may misinterpret our mission and believe that we are being paid by particular car dealerships.
      2. My opinions and complaints may not matter to the audience listening. We just want to get the facts out there and build our webpage forum thread so that people can start having the large discussions you are looking for. We just started this channel 6 weeks ago.
      I hope this reply explains our goal. You can always check out our website aswell: www.tccrs.ca

    Is it faster then the camro

    • @TccrsCaofficial
      @TccrsCaofficial  9 років тому +1

      In a straight line I would put my money on the 8 speed Challenger. In the corners, the Camaro would probably have greater speed. There is definitely a weight difference from both vehicles. But overall if I had to choose which vehicle to buy, I would go with the Challenger. The interior is amazing and the powertrain is fantastic. That said, I mentioned before that you can add a much better suspension kit on the Challenger: I would recommend "Pedders suspension" but I am not sure if they have a kit for the 2015 models yet.
