    I appreciate your content. Its nice to see budget minded reviewers. It gets old seeing nothing but unobtainable gucci gear all the time on other channels. My only critique is to be mindful of how many times you say "uh or umm". It was a little distracting. I subscribed to your channel 👍🏻

      Thanks for the comment and support! Yea, I am certainly mindful of the excessive amount of times I use the word "uh" and "ummm" in my videos lol.
      I also have a terrible habit of using a specific word or words to almost a cringy level of repetition. These are things I am working on as I grow the channel. One thing that some people tend to take for granted is understanding how difficult it can be to essentially talk to a camera in an empty room as if it were a person or group of people.
      It is definitely a bit unnatural and tends to throw me for a loop sometimes lol. Thanks for the sub!

    Great video! Some of us are buying gear for our family, so it gets really old watching guys on videos talking about the expensive gear.
    I was encouraged when I saw some other UA-camr's showing their Amazon gear as they couldn't get ahold of the real "operator" gear during Covid and they are still happy with it.
    Thank you!
    (I do want to upgrade my belt in the future)

    Nice review, I have a lot of tacticon gear, 2 plate carriers, 2 battle belts, several optics and have only ever had one issue with an optic and they corrected it immediately. Really gets customer service I’ve dealt with in a long time. Good call out on that holster. Gonna look for one now.

      Thanks for the support! Damn you ain't lying! That's quite a bit of Tacticon gear you got! I honestly really do like Tacticon and how honest and cool Jake and Nolan comes across in their podcast! What sold me on their gear was actually their UA-cam channel. Their videos and shorts are pretty damn funny.
      Let me know what you're think of the holster when you get it! It has its pros and cons but is a decent Safariland knock off.

    That ifac would be better suited for mounting on your cumberbund. I typically wear a very small kit on my belt and have the option to mount a bigger one behind my left arm. I leave the Velcro platform on the kit and keep the ifak in the car. I only put it on the kit if I'm going to be tracking someone through the woods meaning I'm going to be away from the car.

      I was beginning to really get into tactical gear and airsoft as a hobby and I was astounded by how expensive a lot of the Gucci gear was. So I did a bit of research and found all these great clone options for half the price if not less. So I decided to share the wealth by making this channel and featuring these items on it.

      Thanks for the comment and support! I truly appreciate it! I have looked into horizontal facing or angled Mag holders from companies like AXl and Dara. I haven't yet pulled the trigger on setting up a belt that way just yet but I may decide to experiment sometime in the future and see how I like it.
      I am still working on a lot of the core fundamentals using a normal vertical holder setup so I think when I get to a point where that becomes complete muscle memory I will begin to introduce angle and or horizontal positioning holders and start working those components into muscle memory.

    I wad told the holster was cheap and meant for air soft. I'm debating getting the safariland holster instead. How's the holster holding up???

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  11 місяців тому +2

      Thanks for the comment! The holster when compared to a legitimate Safariland is obviously a lower quality clone/ knockoff but still serves its intended purpose and is of a decent quality comparable to any Kydex plastic holster.
      I never really understood the knock on calling something bad because it's "airsoft gear". Most regular air softer's or milsim guys are getting more reps with their equipment then the average Gucci gear officinado paying top price for high end gear and just letting it chill in their gun room or closet.
      Overall I think this holster is a great intro into Safariland without yet paying the Safariland price upfront. Gives you a reliable holster with the look to then down the line save for the Safariland to replace it with.
      My holster specifically is holding up great! I run it in training and airsoft and hasn't failed me yet.
      Hope that helps!

  • @RedDawnReadiness

    I started with their first belt and after running it a while was disappointed in that fact it has zero rigidity order their second one where the belt straps fold in and again the same issue now they sit in a closet as backup belts or going to set them up as a quick action minimalist belt… but I wish I would have just started out with that middle of the road stuff, because you buy the cheap stuff then realize it’s not going to cut it long term or in hard use… don’t waist your money and Tacticon has raised their prices without raising quality, just buy once and whine once… if you can buy once and cry once do that… although the medical pouch on here is great I have it and still like it just went more minimalist on the belt and also isogear tacos have been a phenomenal product for me lasted like 3 years now with and looks brand new Tacticon is definitely not high quality although I would say their carriers overall are good and their plates are fantastic

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  8 місяців тому

      Thanks for the comment and advice based on your own personal experiences with some of the budget friendly stuff! I can certainly agree with a huge portion of what you have experienced when buying and using budget gear available on the market. It really is kinda a shot in the dark sometimes when dealing with the good budget friendly stuff and suffering through the bad.
      That's what I am attempting to provide with a lot of the content on my channel. To at least offer a showcase of the good budget stuff vs the bad to hopefully inform beginners like myself on what to consider and what to avoid and to provide budget friendly alternatives to the high end Gucci Gear.
      Tacticon Products can sometimes be hit or miss depending on what you are looking to get. I do agree that some of their Battle Belts are more flimsy than I like but their plate carriers are great (Especially the Battle Vest Elite aka Agilite K-19 clone/ Knockoff).
      Buy once cry once is always the preferred logic with gear but sometimes new guys getting into the tactical and personal protection space tend to not know where to start and will often jump right into buying the gucci gear (sometimes taking a long time to finally build a loadout due to the price of some stuff).
      Hopefully at least providing some of these budget friendly alternatives it can hopefully help new guys build a loadout faster and save some money for training and bullets lol.
      Thanks again for the comment!

      @@TacticalNewbie101 my pleasure I’d love to do a live with you if you have the time, I’ve run their plate carrier for 2.5 years and I like I just upgraded sort of to something else but the one thing about stacking budget stuff if after you cycle through you suit up a few fellas if need be.
      All great points I think were both at similar stages, lastly for the money it’s damn near impossible to beat the Kore Battle belt, I did a video about it on my channel. Hopefully hear back from you soon man!

    What’s the purpose of the velcro breaking the belt into 2 pieces?

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  Місяць тому

      Thanks for the comment! The primary purpose of the Velcro under belt is designed so that you can weave that belt (Velcro under belt) through the belt loops of your pants and adhere the top belt directly to the Velcro under belt to offer a more structural hold that won't sag or drop when training, running, crawling or basically performing any specific physical activity.
      Most current generation belts offer that option now but it also allows you the availability to also add a standard padded under belt if ever you just wanted to put on the belt on without weaving anything through your belt loops or if you have pants that don't have belt loops.
      I hope that helps! Thanks again for the comment!

      Thanks for the comment and advice. Yea I realized the mags were facing the wrong way after I posted the video and had a few comments pointing it out as well.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the comment! I will be honest and admit that the plastic is not as high grade as my friends legit Safariland (Haven't gotten a legit one for myself just yet).
      But with that said it holds up pretty well under fair abuse and use. It has basically held up to everything I have put these holsters through aside from a direct fall or dive on the holster or holster side.
      So if you are looking for something "Safariland like" without dropping the Safariland dollars then this will do as a good training interim holster until you get the real thing.
      The only other con is the Locking mechanism is not the best and there is a bit of wiggle room. But I read some reviews and some guy installed sticky fuzzy mesh inside or some silicone puddy inside to fill some of the empty space and apparently that works. Haven't had the desire to try that myself yet though.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  9 місяців тому

      Thanks for the comment! I myself do not own the Elite V2 belt but have seen great reviews for it. Being biased I would say The Tacticon Battle Belt is good overall because it can be ran both over the pants with a pad or in the pants with the velcro inner belt.
      So that alone gives you a bit of wiggle room for which you can run the belt. So for that I would suggest the Battle Belt over the Elite V2.

    How to change the holster can I add any holster to it so it fits the Taurus G3C that I have

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the comment! The holster for this loadout has a QLS fork interlock system. If your Taurus holster has QLS compatibility all you need to do is remove the 3 mounting screws that attach the QLS fork to the existing holster, then remove whatever belt attachment system the Taurus holster has.
      Once that is done take the fork connector and screws and mount it on your Taurus holster. If compatible once mounted your good to go and just have to slide the QLS fork (now attached to the Taurus holster) back into the receiver plate.
      If your Taurus holster is not compatible to the fork you can possibly retrofit the QLS fork into the holster but really it just depends on the Taurus holster manufacturer and where the holsters screw holes are located (if they have any)
      Most holsters are generally QLS compatible but it's hard to know for sure without seeing the holster myself.
      I hope this offers a bit of help my friend!

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  7 місяців тому

      I ran my leg strap behind the QLS receiver plate that is attached to the drop leg belt loop platform.
      To do that I removed the QLS receiver plate screws to pull the plate from the drop leg loop platform. Then positioned the leg strap on the loop platform and re-installed the QLS receiver plate back onto the loop platform and screwed back in the screws.
      You may have push down on the receiver plate a bit when first reinstalling the mounting screws but once they are in and screwed tight, the receiver plate and the belt loop platform pretty much sandwich the leg strap into place and it doesn't budge.
      I hope that helps!

      Thanks for the comment. What exactly makes an airsoft holster an airsoft holster? This holster holds the Glock 19x airsoft pistol no different than the Glock 19x real steel pistol.
      Is there a difference in quality to this holster compared to the legit Safariland holster? Well yes. But for those who are just getting involved in the tactical space (or on a budget) and want something Safariland like that doesn't cost $250+ dollars for a holster, well this is a perfect option.
      Don't let the "TactIcool influencers" fool you on the "more expensive is always better" logic. This holster can perfectly serve the purpose it's intended to (especially for those that may need something ASAP while saving up for the legit Safariland).

      @@TacticalNewbie101 more heavy duty, better grip for your firearm lock fits in, heat, and better material. Like the rating for firearm and airsoft is different. You are ready to battle, it going bang on optical, rolling on the ground, draw it in and out after shooting intensively, the last thing you want to worry about is your holster cant hold up it, because it meant to airsoft, you are you complaining at that time. You. Other stuff i dont mind but holster and the belt must be perfect and secure. You are talking about battlefield gear here. And this is just my opinion, for me it a must

    • @TacticalNewbie101

      So you don't run, jump, roll around, crawl, draw in and out multiple times after shooting intensely in airsoft? Don't get me wrong, I will never claim these holsters are duty rated or good enough to take to legitimate battle. But..... Airsoft for the most part is a pretty physically demanding war game that generally is more physically demanding in nature than any run of the mill day at the range. So if it's good enough for the physically demanding gameplay of airsoft I think its safe to say it's good enough for any normal Joe just starting out to train with at the range while they save up for the Gucci upgrade.
      I'm not telling guys this holster is better than Safariland. But.... This holster is better then having no holster to start with while they save up for the perfect duty rated holster that they will likely only use at the range and maybe if they are serious enough use some more extensively in firearms training with an instructor.

      No offense dude but don't presume or pretend like you have any clue as to the intentionality of my channel or my videos. It's my channel and my videos so the only person who has any idea as to the intention is me. Period.
      The channel is legit called "Tactical Newbie" which is about as obvious an example that the aim of the channel is for those who are not necessarily "tactical professionals" or "experts".
      The segment is called "Low Budget Loadout" which again is a super obvious example of a segment designed as the title entails (to build a LOW BUDGET LOADOUT).
      if your goal is to see more high end milspec gear feel free to take a look at my Gucci Gear segments or feel free to go watch Garand Thumb, Administrative Results, Dirty Civilian etc.
      Don't mean any disrespect but your criticisms are from far left field and totally off base. I recommend watching more of my videos before you assume you know who or to what audience my channel is directed to.
      Hope you understand.
      Side note. Tactical Gear is not just used for warfare. There are a ton of guys on UA-cam and other social media who use gear for the primary purpose of training. Low Budget Loadout is a segment for the average guy who might be on a budget but wants to get started with tactical training/ gear. Obviously anyone who is in law enforcement or the military is not going to be concerned about buying budget gear for training.
