i have both the K19 and the tacticon and there are very clear differences between material, fit & finish, and padding. However it's a good workout/airsoft/training plate carrier if you arent wanting to get your K19 dirty should you have both, If you have a budget and cant quite afford the K19 its fine, it just wont be as comfortable. The tacticon backpack vs the AMAP III, tacticon isnt as rigid or as durable and the shoulder straps can have a tendency to slip from the plastic retaining loops but if you hit them with a lighter to harden them up they dont budge. Obviously material wise the AMAP III is more sturdy and the zippers are stronger but the tacticon is fine

I am building myself a budget plate carrier and I do a lot of research on the things I buy before buying them. I have only been using Amazon for purchasing plate carrier accessories but one question I had is; is there any budget, and trusted website stores online that sells budget decently quality pouches for plate carriers? I am trying to find things that are brand new and unused but don’t break the bank.
Thanks for the comment! Yes indeed there are a few good direct manufacturers that produce plate carriers and accessories that you can order directly from the manufacturer. A few of the ones I use are Krydex, Tacticon Armament, M-tac and many others. Most of the gear they offer you can also purchase on Amazon unless it is out of stock there in which you can order directly from the manufacturers website. I got other recommendations from commenters that it's also a good idea to look at army surplus websites or if you have any local locations near you to get gear. That and also regularly be on the lookout for some deals that some of the more Gucci gear manufacturers or 3rd party dealers who may offer some good deals as well. I would honestly recommend just always being on the lookout for affordable gear when it comes to all of these options and make it sort of a hobby to regularly check for deals and sales. But the best overall "one stop shop" for a lot of the gear that I myself got was through Amazon for the most part. So I would always reccomend starting there before branching out to other locations. I hope that helps!
@@TacticalNewbie101 Thanks for the reply! This helped a lot. The closest military surplus store near me is around 45 minutes away, and unfortunately don't have the time to drive that far. So I will definitely check out those websites you mentioned.
No doubt some of these more affordable carriers are coming out of the same factories as some of the more gucci carriers. We're just being fooled with clever marketing and brand name markup. This Tacticon is at the top of my list. I'm waiting another week to see how some Black Friday sales pan out.
Thanks for the comment! I absolutely agree. The start of 2025 I am going to be featuring some "Tactical Comparison" videos highlighting the similarities and differences between a good amount of "Gucci Gear" and their "Budget Clone" alternative. 2 videos will specifically compare the Agilite K-19 to the Tacticon Armament Battle Vest Elite and Battle Packs for both brands. Just to provide a bit of a spoiler, They are comparatively pretty much identical minus maybe a few slight variations and of course price. So be on the lookout for that come early 2025!
Thanks for the comment and support! I really appreciate it! I am definitely going to do a comparison video in the near future! Likely early 2024 when I add a few of the new segments and improvements to the channel I have lined up starting after the new year! So be on the lookout!
Just my 2 cents. It appears that you don't have plates in the carrier, and nothing in any of the pouches. You can't really get a feel for fit and comfort with an empty rig.
Thanks for the comment and critique! I certainly do agree with you that in order to get a proper evaluation of comfort wearing the carrier with plates is absolutely the most thorough. I have done a handful of 3 mile hikes with each carrier featured in my Low Budget Loadouts to get a basic assessment of how the carrier holds the plates and how it feels comfort wise. The Low Budget Loadout segment on my channel is primarily to showcase budget friendly alternatives for specific gear while intentionally disregarding the plates themselves as they generally are not the feature for this specific segment. The Low Budget Loadout segment is designed to be an introductory final showcase of specific gear gathered in my "Tactical Haul" and assembled in my "Budget Build" segments. In short its not the end all final setup. Just a showcase of the budget friendly gear in its final assembly and a total price calculation for everything to offer a base level idea of around how much someone might pay for a similar budget friendly set up. I hope that makes sense! Thanks again for the comment!
Thanks for the comment! That's awesome! What plate carrier did you get from your friend? Buying 2nd hand gear from friends or a surplus is definitely a great way to get great gear on discount!
Thanks for the comment! That's actually the same color scheme I was thinking about myself. When I do get the K-19, I think I too will also be going the Black Muliticam route and keep the Tacticon (Brown) as back up or for airsoft/ training.
Thanks for the comment! Ironically I just posted an update video on Sunday giving an update on the Tacticon Armament loadout. Here is the link! Feel free to take a look! ua-cam.com/video/JfvafWlGTIw/v-deo.htmlsi=BnOtPilJPPVIiVul
Thanks for the comment! 10x12 plates seem to fit perfectly for mine. I think 11x14 might be too big and 8x10 might be too small. I have the link for the Plate carrier in the description. Feel free to check it out there.
Thanks for the comment and recommendation! I did check out Red Valley Supply's website. Shockingly enough one of the plate carriers they sell "The Barrier" is almost identical (if not exactly identical) to the Redemption Tactical Crusader 2.0 I would not be surprised if both RVS and Redemption Tactical both rebrand and sell the same Plate Carrier made from the same manufacturing company. Kinda like how Uprise Armory LLC rebrands and sells the Yakeda YK1 Plate Carriers.
Thanks for the comment! The Tacticon Battle Vest Elite PC has its cumberbund configuration set up the same way as the Agilite K19 does using G style hooks at the back of the PC with no "hook and loop"/ Velcro on the back. The front cumberbund of both Versions also have the quick release attachments also "hooked" into the front of the PC without Velcro. I did a bit of research and I can't find any kind of adapter for either company that allows the Agilite War Fighter cumberbund to be installed onto the K19 or TACTICON clone So I assume the War fighter is meant only for the K-Zero PC. Maybe a different accessory manufacturer might have an adapter that accounts for this issue. Hopefully if someone sees this they can offer any suggestions or opinions.
Thanks for the comment!! That's awesome man! Let me know what you end up doing set up wise. I'm interested to know what you decided to run with on your PC.
Thanks for the comment! Yea! The shoulder quick detach buckles can be removed if needed. To the best of my knowledge this is almost a 1 for 1 clone of the K19. I can't really find any real standout differences as of yet. When I get my hand on the K19 I will be sure to compare in person to see what difference if any there are. One key difference is that the Tacticon PC is made with 500D cordura while the Agilite K19 specs say it's made with 1000D
@@TacticalNewbie101 nice? So i could totally remove the left shoulder buckle and change it for like a flat d ring or smth? Like i know the new k19s have it that say so the QD buckkes can be removed to enable better shouldering
Yes indeed! It looks like the QD shoulder buckles for the Tacticon PC can be removed the same way if not very similar to how the K-19 buckles can be removed. I don't have a K-19 at the moment to do a direct in person comparison, but by the specs and videos I have seen online and comparing it to the specs and videos for the Tacticon PC along with my own personal look at mine it does appear that they are exactly similar in how the QD shoulder buckles can be removed and replaced with a D ring or other attachment buckle for better shouldering of the rife.
@@TacticalNewbie101 thank you so much! Im really looking forwards to more content from you and a side by side comparison Cheers all the way from 🇺🇾 Uruguay
Honestly, before buying the tacticon k19, i would buy any other chinese k19 (for 60usd instead of 120) I for once ended up buying the Kzero clone for 40 bucks. If i like it enough and my wallet grows, i would then jump to the agilite kzero
Thanks for the comment! Do you have a link to the company that sells the clone K-zero? I would love to check it out! Thanks again for the comment and support!
Thanks for the comment! Yea Tacticon sells a 6x6 and 6x8 side plate pouch that can be universally installed on any of their plate carriers via MOLLE. tacticon.com/product/plate-carrer-side-pouches/ Hope this helps!
Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately I believe both Amazon and the Tacticon page (the manufacturer) are currently out of stock for the Battle Vest Elite which is likely why it's currently unavailable. I don't know for sure when they will restock but generally manufacturers will roll out an item on their website before listing them on Amazon. Just keep checking Amazon and Tacticon periodically to see when the item is back in stock! Here is Tacticons link tacticon.com/product/battlevest-elite-plate-carrier/ Hope this helps!
Thanks for the comment! I am currently not running side plates at the moment. TACTICON sells side plate bags and plates for the cumberbund but I am thinking I may run this PC a bit lighter since I already have the battle pack attached in the back. I may change my mind though so we will see
Thanks for the comment! With this specific Plate Carrier I am currently not running any plates yet as it is so new I have yet to get plates. My current SHTF PC has Redemption Tactical level 4 ceramic plates for my Redemption Tactical Crusaider 2.0 PC. I was thinking of running Tactions level 4 plates with this Tacticon carrier but they are like $750 a plate! So as an alternative I might look into Guard Dog level 4 Ceramic plates. I can get a pair for like $340.

Thanks for the comment! Tacticon Armament is a disabled veteran owned company. I know their plates are made here in the US which they proudly display on their website. The plate carrier on the other hand does not say "Made in the US" on their website which leads me to believe they might outsource to cut costs for the consumer. I may do some follow up research out of curiosity just to see where they make the carriers just if anything to know down the line.
Tacticon takes damn good care of their people too. Damn good customer services and make wrongs right right away. I will forever run tacticon over gucci "teir1" gear. Plates too
Thanks for the comment! ABSOLUTELY! I thoroughly enjoy the Battle Vest Elite Plate Carrier. Especially because I have always been a fan of the Agilite K-19 and it was great to be able to get a clone of it without necessarily paying the gucci gear price tag. I also am a huge fan of what Jake and Nolan are doing on UA-cam with their content and podcast! I will certainly be buying more products from Tacticon in the near future.
Thanks for the comment!! I haven't used this Loadout yet at the range, airsoft or for practice yet! This baby is still brand new and I haven't had the time just yet to put any work hours in it.
Thanks for the comment! Yea the only multicam color they offer is multicam black. I honestly don't understand why they don't offer basic multicam. I feel like they are losing out on a ton of money not offering that color.
Thanks for the comment! This specific plate carrier is indeed fairly thick especially around the shoulders and I did notice that I have to negotiate where I shoulder my rifle from time to time for sure. I feel like a lot of different types of carriers kinda have specific pros vs cons and it's generally a work in progress working to mitigate the cons and exploit the pros. Overall I do like this plate carrier and am hoping with consistent training I can work past the issues shouldering the rifle but only time will tell. Any suggestions on what works for you? I'm always interested in hearing different suggestions and recommendations. Thanks again!
@@TacticalNewbie101 I have tried a few techniques, but I don't think any of them work for me lol. I've tried variations of tilting the rifle, Dropping the plate down a couple inches, putting the buttstock in the chest instead of shoulder, but the problem I keep running into is I either have to tilt my neck at funny angles to see through my optic or the buttstock is so high that the muzzle rise becomes difficult to control. I'm more of a fan of flat shoulder straps now
Thanks for the input! I am also running a Ferro slickster style clone PC from KRYDEX that has thin shoulder pads. I certainly notice the difference when running that one vs the other. I juggle between both of them currently to see what profile works best for me. The thicker Tacticon PC definitely is nice during the colder periods of the year. I guess I will see how I feel later next year during the summer to make my final ruling on the PC overall.
@@TacticalNewbie101 Oh one other thing that irritates me about the agilite PC is the velcro on the back side of the shoulder straps. My rifle sling always gets caught up on it. I've been meaning to wrap that with some tape, but I haven't used it in a long time. Have you been watching any of the recent Israeli assault footage? I've noticed a lot of them actually running the Agilite in combat so it's definitely viable.
I will certainly keep that in mind in the future when running the K-19 or Tacticon clone/ knockoff. My biggest complaint is specific hot spots on the PC due to the padding. It's ideal in winter but can be a bit of a pain in summer running it in 90°days with humidity. I have seen some of the Israeli assault footage on the news and UA-cam. I see a lot of K-19's and K-Zero's which would make sense I believe it is the plate carrier for the IDF as well as manufactured in Israel I believe.
Stay away from Tacticon's Ballistic helmet. It has protection up to 44 mag for $697. Other sites sell ballistic helmets, capable of stopping M80 ball, for much less. Tacticon is also massively cheaper buying thru Amazon despite the owner, Jake, claiming Amazon ruins his profits.
Thanks for the comment and recommendations! I will take that into huge consideration when looking for a ballistic and bump helmet down the line. I have been eyeing up a few different options with different manufacturers but I will absolutely take your recommendation about Tacticons helmet and use this as a metric when looking for a decently priced ballistic helmet. Thanks again!
@TacticalNewbie101 Came back to say Ace Link Armor has an impressive selection of ballistic helmets and the prices seem more than fair. The site seems very legit. If I find anything better, I'll report back.
Just want to say amazon prices and the tacticon prices are usually the same you just have to enter in coupon codes on the tacticon website, I can definitely see how shipping it from their warehouse vs sending it out to amazon to sell it for the same price would be cheaper for him!
Thanks for the comment! Hahahaha yes my newer videos do have a little clip on mic but I am slowly stepping up the audio and recording equipment as the channel grows. I'm hoping to get a stationary mic sometime soon for the intros and outros. I appreciate the support!
Right!! The worst part is the site where I get most of my clips didn't have some of the best clips in the movie available. But they had a few of the good scenes.
Thanks for the comment! May I ask, where did you hear "they were shit" from? Were they comparing the Tacticon PC to any other brands specifically or was it just a general blanket statement about quality or preference in PC brands. Do they have a bias against Tacticon Armament or "budget gear" in general or did they experience legitimate quality issues with their gear when using it in training or quite possibly legitimate conflict. I ask out of honest curiosity. I notice in alot of cases most people who make it a point to bash something (especially in the tactical space) generally have a reason for saying it. Some might be legitimate, others may just be because they dislike a specific company or their products/ politics without any real basis aside from just not liking the brand or attempting to push a negative narrative. Thanks again for the comment!
You won’t see it in website due to them only keeping up positive reviews and I see bad reviews on them under UA-cam videos also a lot of bad reviews on Amazon since they have no control On there u can see them a guy had his for 6 months and the shoulder part was torn also another guy said his lasted barely two months
That's fair, I appreciate you pointing out where you are seeing these reviews. I will have to check more in depth on UA-cam and Amazon and see what people are saying. Most of the reviews I have seen were mostly positive. But maybe their quality has dropped as the company got more popular. I personally have not had any issues yet but I admittedly only use the gear in limited training. I haven't put it through any kind of rough conditions to really see how it holds up. So maybe for some who are using the gear more regularly and in more tough conditions may be noticing the flaws first hand better than someone like myself who casually uses it for light use training.
@@MrYoungan for civilian use and non daily, heavy use like police or military, there should be no issue with their stuff. I just recently got their V2 plate carrier and I love it.
Good video, keep up the hard work. I have a K-19 would love to see a comparison video.
@@TacticalNewbie101 I see where you're going with these segments, and budget friendly gear is always a welcome subject.
I bought my plate carrier from my coworker that was in the marines for 80 bucks. Everything else I picked up at a surplus store or gun stores.
Thanks for the comment! That's awesome! What plate carrier did you get from your friend?
Buying 2nd hand gear from friends or a surplus is definitely a great way to get great gear on discount!
I'm not sure on the size it's got some good length for the plates. He's gonna give me his ballistic helmet all in coyote brown.
Im thinking of having my main carrier the k19 in black camo and maybe buy a coyote brown for the tacticon as a back up
Thanks for the comment! That's actually the same color scheme I was thinking about myself. When I do get the K-19, I think I too will also be going the Black Muliticam route and keep the Tacticon (Brown) as back up or for airsoft/ training.
How is the vest after almost a year?
Thanks for the comment! Ironically I just posted an update video on Sunday giving an update on the Tacticon Armament loadout.
Here is the link! Feel free to take a look!

What size plates is it made for - 8X10, 10X12 or 11X14. Asking because I'm very interested in this carrier.
Thanks for the comment! 10x12 plates seem to fit perfectly for mine. I think 11x14 might be too big and 8x10 might be too small.
I have the link for the Plate carrier in the description. Feel free to check it out there.
@@TacticalNewbie101 awesome thanks
You should check out the red valley plate carrier
Thanks for the comment and recommendation! I did check out Red Valley Supply's website. Shockingly enough one of the plate carriers they sell "The Barrier" is almost identical (if not exactly identical) to the Redemption Tactical Crusader 2.0
I would not be surprised if both RVS and Redemption Tactical both rebrand and sell the same Plate Carrier made from the same manufacturing company.
Kinda like how Uprise Armory LLC rebrands and sells the Yakeda YK1 Plate Carriers.
No sure if you’d be able to answer this however would you be able to upgrade this vest with the real agilite war fighter cummerbund and adapter or no?
Thanks for the comment! The Tacticon Battle Vest Elite PC has its cumberbund configuration set up the same way as the Agilite K19 does using G style hooks at the back of the PC with no "hook and loop"/ Velcro on the back.
The front cumberbund of both Versions also have the quick release attachments also "hooked" into the front of the PC without Velcro.
I did a bit of research and I can't find any kind of adapter for either company that allows the Agilite War Fighter cumberbund to be installed onto the K19 or TACTICON clone
So I assume the War fighter is meant only for the K-Zero PC. Maybe a different accessory manufacturer might have an adapter that accounts for this issue.
Hopefully if someone sees this they can offer any suggestions or opinions.
Big smooches. I just bought this minus the backpack. Bought a couple things to try out different setups.
Thanks for the comment!! That's awesome man! Let me know what you end up doing set up wise. I'm interested to know what you decided to run with on your PC.
Great video please make one to actually compare it with the K19.
Thanks for the comment and support!! I plan on having a comparison video lined up for 2024! So look out for that coming soon!
Are the shoulder buckles removable (like the new k19s)?
@@TacticalNewbie101 as for the cordura, yeah, 1000D would be nice, but it would also make it heavier

Honestly, before buying the tacticon k19, i would buy any other chinese k19 (for 60usd instead of 120)
I for once ended up buying the Kzero clone for 40 bucks. If i like it enough and my wallet grows, i would then jump to the agilite kzero
Thanks for the comment! Do you have a link to the company that sells the clone K-zero? I would love to check it out!

Try venture surplus.
Thanks for the comment! I will definitely check them out!
Any room on the cummerbund for side plate armor?
Thanks for the comment! Yea Tacticon sells a 6x6 and 6x8 side plate pouch that can be universally installed on any of their plate carriers via MOLLE.

@@TacticalNewbie101 This helps a lot! Thanks!
I followed your link and it says it’s unavailable, I’m looking at getting this exact setup

Do you use side plates
Thanks for the comment! I am currently not running side plates at the moment. TACTICON sells side plate bags and plates for the cumberbund but I am thinking I may run this PC a bit lighter since I already have the battle pack attached in the back.
I may change my mind though so we will see
What size plates can this fit?
Thanks for the comment! 10x12 shooters cut work the best IMO. It looks like bigger plates might be able to fit but why risk it?
What size is your carrier?
Thanks for the comment. The Tacticon Armament Battle Vest Elite plate carrier is a one size fits all carrier designed to fit sizes from Small to 2-XL.
What plates are you running bro?
Thanks for the comment! With this specific Plate Carrier I am currently not running any plates yet as it is so new I have yet to get plates.
My current SHTF PC has Redemption Tactical level 4 ceramic plates for my Redemption Tactical Crusaider 2.0 PC. I was thinking of running Tactions level 4 plates with this Tacticon carrier but they are like $750 a plate!
So as an alternative I might look into Guard Dog level 4 Ceramic plates. I can get a pair for like $340.
@@TacticalNewbie101i got this pc as a back up and different configuration. I purchased it during fathers day when it was a package with the lvl4 6 lbs muti curved plates and trauma pads. It was $620 shipped to my door.

There armor is is fantastic and held the test very well and i recommend the lvl4 plates.
Where are these made
Thanks for the comment!
Subbed
Thanks for the Sub!!!

Do you wear this on range day?
Thanks for the comment!! I haven't used this Loadout yet at the range, airsoft or for practice yet! This baby is still brand new and I haven't had the time just yet to put any work hours in it.
i just dont like how they dont have anything in multicam
Thanks for the comment! Yea the only multicam color they offer is multicam black. I honestly don't understand why they don't offer basic multicam. I feel like they are losing out on a ton of money not offering that color.
They do on there official website just not on Amazon
these types of plate carriers suck when trying to shoulder your rifle.
10 4! Thanks for the recommendations and research! It is absolutely much appreciated!
Just want to say amazon prices and the tacticon prices are usually the same you just have to enter in coupon codes on the tacticon website, I can definitely see how shipping it from their warehouse vs sending it out to amazon to sell it for the same price would be cheaper for him!
Get a mic! 😁
Good info! Thanks.
Thanks for the comment! Hahahaha yes my newer videos do have a little clip on mic but I am slowly stepping up the audio and recording equipment as the channel grows. I'm hoping to get a stationary mic sometime soon for the intros and outros.

Sex drive...classic movie
Right!! The worst part is the site where I get most of my clips didn't have some of the best clips in the movie available. But they had a few of the good scenes.

I heard these are shit
You won’t see it in website due to them only keeping up positive reviews and I see bad reviews on them under UA-cam videos also a lot of bad reviews on Amazon since they have no control
On there u can see them a guy had his for 6 months and the shoulder part was torn also another guy said his lasted barely two months
@@TacticalNewbie101thanks I’ll be getting it then I don’t plan on doing nun to serious in it just light training
@@MrYoungan for civilian use and non daily, heavy use like police or military, there should be no issue with their stuff. I just recently got their V2 plate carrier and I love it. It's not the gucci gear in the realm of plate carriers, but it's gonna be just fine, and affordable, for the average civilian. which is what their entire company is about. i've had no issues with anything i've gotten from them.
And personally, idk how much of their youtube you watch, but they have tested a bunch of their products right on video. and with their armor plates, you get a code on the back that you can go to their site and actually see a video of them testing the exact sheet they cut your plate from. their transparency is what sold me on them.
