2:15 - "Should You Go First" by Albert K. Rowswell is a beautiful, tender, heartbreaking poem. Elvis' mom, Gladys, had just passed away a month before this interview so, the mention of this poem speaks for itself how Elvis was trying to process his grief. 🤧💙 Rest in piece Elvis, Gladys, Vernon, Lisa. 💙
What I hear is a man that can’t believe what all the hype is about. He just loved what he did, did his service like any other GI, and hoped he could make it after his service. And he didn’t want to be treated any different than anybody else. Can you image that today?! And he was a superstar already then. Plus I think losing his mother at such a young age, had a profound effect on his life. I don’t think he ever got over that.
Elvis you are so phenominal, your mama would be so proud of you hearing this interview you are a credit to her . I adore your southern accent and boy you have such Charisma so funny too, Wat a shame you couldn't get that 3 day pass to visit the UK , cos at least you would have fulfilled ur wish to get there even tho you would like to have had a few concerts there too . and now you have gone there is no way you can go , tho glad you made it to Paris whilst in the Army unbeknownst to you in this interview as you say you wish to go i read you did at least get there so least you did get to Europe before it was too late for you , even tho you never got to sing here . i was very sad when i heard you say you wished to go to Europe but now i read you got to Germany & Paris
“ You’ll never walk away “ is such a beautiful gospel song , and Elvis sung it with such passion and feeling ! Oh I love , love his laughter and good humor. ❤️🌹
Lols, he is so funny and charismatic! "The closest time I ever got to getting married was before I started singing. in fact my first record saved my neck!"
M'agradat molt aquest vídeo, la veu d'Elvis se sent perfectament. Només parlant, ja es sentir música. Genial!! Elvis per sempre. Only 1 Elvis. Feliç aniversari, Elvis. 🙏🙏❤️❤️🎵🎵🎸🎸
Love this one! The audio is wonderful...can hear Elvis clearly. But I wonder if closed-captioning can also be added for us older folks who have loved him from the beginnings.
This interview took place only 5 weeks after Gladys` death. Nobody would know that he was still in mourning. He was very professional. Parker taught him well...
Parker had absolutely nothing to do with Elvis' class/elegance, grace in the public forum. His parents and in particular his mother had 'everything to do' with that in how they reared him. He was raised to respect people and people's feelings. He has even stated the former in interviews.
Sonny was right, Elvis shouldn't or didn't want to marry. But I guess it's selfish of me that I like the idea that he never really physically died since he has a daughter and grandkids now. Bec his genes are not wasted. In fact, I wish he had more kids.
There’s a post army interview at Fort Dix (which is mentioned in one of the other videos when he meets Nancy Sinatra) and there’s an audio only interview from 1958 Brooklyn, New York... would you pleeeeaaase react to that! I chanced upon it and loved it!

Es apodado como «el rey del rock and roll».
Very very little do you hear that anymore. The kids today Do Not have any good manners or they do not have any respect for elders or anyone these days . Unless they have been raised strict.

Elvis what's your idea of the ideal girl? "Female!" Ha ha, as we later saw, he wasn't kidding! I love all the "yes ma'am" and "yes sirs."

Five weeks after Gladys died…
M'agradat molt aquest vídeo, la veu d'Elvis se sent perfectament. Només parlant, ja es sentir música. Genial!!

I never heard how he did on the boat ride.

Nobody would know that he was still in mourning. He was very professional. Parker taught him well...
I think much of Elvis' charm and good manners he owes to his mother and father and family.
Came from his mother Not Parker! Parker was a very rude person!
Parker had absolutely nothing to do with Elvis' class/elegance, grace in the public forum. His parents and in particular his mother had 'everything to do' with that in how they reared him. He was raised to respect people and people's feelings. He has even stated the former in interviews.
ELVIS wasn't able to mourn his mother's death properly. His mother, GLADYS, was the one responsible
for his great upbringing, GLADYS
raised him well.
His parents taught him well . Not Parker

Steve Sholes wasn't doubting his arrangement at this point LOL!
His laugh.....sigh 🤍🥰
I have this record interview

Time has run out..
You know I hear that from our young kids today yes ma'am yes sir
Very very little do you hear that anymore. The kids today Do Not have any good manners or they do not have any respect for elders or anyone these days . Unless they have been raised strict.
@@debbiesueallard7815 A lot of elders these days give kids very little reason to have respect for them.
