Really would love to see how they compare to the 2019+ OEM HID. My reserve is really the beam pattern. In my experience, all the aftermarket headlights have worse beam pattern than the OEM HID.
@@Sammybreewow!!!! That's good to hear. I have a few maintenance items that's going to break the bank. Once I stack up my duckets, this will definitely be on the list. Thanks for the update!
@@Vivian_In_Aliceland Install wasn’t bad at all. It’s plug and play. Nothing else to it. I have the flow series version where the DRLs change color and do all kinds of stuff so that was even more wiring but overall that wasn’t bad either
On UA-cam, I did not find a headlight test for 389 peterbilt. I am aware of United Pacific , Trux, JW Speaker options on the market. Morimoto seems to have a spotlight that can be replaced instead of the stock one. It would be interesting to see a comparison from you professionals with measurement and understand which one is worthwhile.
I have been waiting for this ever since I got my grand cherokee. I had a mazda 6 before it where I did a full projector swap, clear lenses, 55w ballasts and all the goodies. Best headlights I'd ever seen. I was so sad when it got totaled and got the jeep, I felt like I was driving with flashlights for headlights. I'd done the D3S conversion and was still not satisfied, I was considering doing the swap to G5 projectors or morimoto LED projectors but the permaseal was stopping me from trying. I'm so tempted to get these.
They're absolutely beautiful! I wish you guys sold just the guts with no connectors, so they can be cheaper and easier to retrofit in housings that fit them.
That comparison is definitely on our to-do list! The Gen 1 and Gen 2 are very comparable in performance, so it might not be worth the extra cost. Plus, the Gen 2 lights come with cool DRL features and selectable colors!
It's not meant to be! DOT headlight patterns have a cut-off with a step to prevent drivers in oncoming traffic. This beam pattern is ideal to keep the beam lower on the driver side where oncoming traffic is, and slightly higher on the passenger side to see the rest of the road/ditches.
These housings have been designed for, and tested on, US-Spec vehicles. Other countries' compatibility may vary and is not guaranteed nor always known.
@ On the fuse box reads 76 Anti-lock Brakes/Electronic Stability Control Don’t say nothing related to lights. I own a 2018 Jeep . Thanks for the reply👍🏽
You're correct; Morimoto XB LED Headlights are designed with integrated LED chips, meaning there are no user-replaceable bulbs. However, if an issue arises, Morimoto's technical support team can often resolve it through troubleshooting, as the LED drivers are external to the headlight assembly. If a replacement is necessary, Morimoto provides a five-year warranty and will supply a new headlight unit.
Reading my window sticker for my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit 4x4 it says it has LED Daytime running lights, Premium LED Fog Lamps.. Wondering if these will make much of a difference as compared to the current LED's?
I have a 2015 Limited and the headlights are atrocious. That said, I've kind of gotten used to them and use the high beams and fog lights as needed. $1,800 is ridiculous.
@@HeadlightRevolutionno isn’t ….. that to expensive and over price …. If you price them at $500 maybe ppl would buy it without having to take money from the kids college fund
Question for you? I own an Overland where the headlights turn with the tires, and they adjust with the height of quad lift? Do you own the same assembly that will replace those units as each unit are reprogrammable once removed? This can be costly if someone doesn't know what they are doing.
If youre doing aftermarket work on it, at least you don't have to change the whole assembly if a bulb goes out and the assembly is ~$1000, like other vehicles
Lots of people who realize how important it is to have high quality and bright headlights! You wouldn't believe how much OEMs are charing for OEM LED headlights nowadays 🤫

$1,800!? The last time someone was this disappointed, Dr. Evil learned that his sharks did not, in fact, have laser beams attached to their heads!

How come the morimoto beam isn’t a straight line?

What's the bulbs in them?
They are sealed projector units. No bulbs!
Will they work on Right Hand Drive jeeps in Australia? Ours need to point slightly to the left

Lmfao $1800 for headlight assemblies?? With taxes and shipping, I'm looking at $1000 FOR EACH SIDE!
It's a significant investment, but the performance and features you get with these assemblies are definitely worth it!
The entire front bumper needs to come off to replace a headlight assembly. A reminder how bad the JGC is engineered.
If youre doing aftermarket work on it, at least you don't have to change the whole assembly if a bulb goes out and the assembly is ~$1000, like other vehicles
