I coughed up teeth when that first riff kicked in.
First Knocked Loose album hooked me because of the catchy riffs and melody. This albums got that for sure, but in reality I feel like this has a "enough play, no more fucking about, serious shit now" vibe to it. I never had a crazy groove moment on the level of Laugh Tracks, but holy shit this was just relentless filth.
Fight riffs are the hardest I’ve ever heard wow. If your at a Knocked Loose concert RIP 🪦

I love how they harmonize the riff at 1:07. The guitar work is outstanding on the entire album. Isaac and Cole are killing it IMO.

I normally wouldn't say the closing breakdown was *heavily inspired* by the same closing breakdown of In The Dark by Orthodox, but Bryan and Isaac literally did guest vocals for the song.

I'm SO glad they have the flanger effect in the intro on the album version after hearing it live for so long. My fav part and hope they use it more, sounds so fuckin sick with the chunky guitar tone. Maybe I'm just biased cause I grew up listenin to VH and Eddie used that a lot lol.

Jake Ochsner the instrumentals are more metalcore than anything. With hints of deathcore and slammin type riffs and breakdowns.

Fans like hardcore cuz the vocals are shitty in a "good way"... I guess "harsh" & "emotionally raw" are better terms than shitty but I honestly don't enjoy it. Just not my cup of tea. The music is dead simple to play but its not about that. Its all about raw emotion.

I mean, sure people can call Every Time I Die, Converge, Counterparts, and Hatebreed hardcore all they want but they all play breakdowns and screamed vocals. Not trying to sound like some sort of genre Nazi btw. If this band decided to at least steer towards ETID/Converge/Counterparts type of riffing then the songs would much more memorable. Kind of the main problem with playing on overly downtuned guitars. Erra and Silent Planet seem to be some of the few who can get away with it imo.
