I was raised to believe that you treat the janitor the same as you treat the CEO. To this day, I don't care if you're making my coffee at Starbucks or chairing an important meeting, you get the exact same respect from me. I was a hotel maid for for a couple of years when I was young and let me tell you, not everyone was raised with that philosophy. I've moved on from that job but that work was never beneath me. Honest work is all worthy.

Thank you. This was what I needed this morning. I’m lying in bed, the rain is pouring, we’ve been in lockdown for months due to COVID. I needed a reminder as to why I chose life before money. Philosophy should be simple and easily accessible more often - he world would be a better place

This was a great find for me to watch. 40 years ago i worked the janitorial job at Providence College R.I. One of the priests there helped me apply and then i found a cheap apt near campus. the hours were great , 6 Am-2Pm at minimum wage (i think back then was $3.35) . i had what is now known as PTSD but i don't think it had a clinical name back then. i'm so grateful for that experience back then and the people i worked with and the students and faculty. i'm retired now from a major corporation (very stressful career) much healthier and thankful for God's great grace in my life . There was a Catholic nun who taught history in the bldg i serviced (she wore civilian clothing not a habit) and she always said "Hi" and she beamed a radiance that i will never forget.
