    My first trip abroad was when I was 18 and I and some friends rented a car and drove from Miami to Montreal and back to New York.
    We had less than 5 dollars together at the airport on our way back. Carried some bags for a lady and she took pity on us and paid us dinner.
    Good times, before Google Maps, Cell phones, and even credit cards for us. Don`t know how we did it.

    • @sunny_dhende6289

      I've been to all three n many more islands they're mostly the same, make sure you pack water shoes the rocks are slippery on some the beaches! Wear comfy shoes you'll be doing alot of walking! The best way to see Santorini is rent a ATV they're cheap in you can see the whole island in 2 days! I also suggest a catamaran with meal for a day excursion about 150 euros each person, you'll swim in the turquoise waters get a climps of the island n enjoy beautiful sunsets around OIA! You can take a ferry or high power ski boat over to Mykonos for around 40 euros round trip. It's mostly a younger crowd full of night life but supah fun! Athens is really easy to get around taxi's are fairly inexpensive but I ideally for 1.50 euros you can take the trams all day n stop off wherever you want! Oh n no worries just about everyone speaks English! over all easy peasy to get around any greek island. Enjoy, watch your belongings on the beaches, I did have a pair of prescription Pradas stolen from my towel by a group of greeks, so be aware they know who the tourist are!😉 mostly take in all the sights, sounds n taste of beautiful🇬🇷 most importantly have fun!! The Greeks are lovely people n very helpful for the most part!

    Very nice city walk thank you, some beautiful scenes there. I can relate to the stolen passport story. I left my backpack with a hotel in Mexico City this past March, as it was too early to check in. So they offered me to leave it behind the reception desk. Thinking it was safe, I then went out for a walk. When I returned, my backpack couldn't be found. After about 20 minutes, they showed me security footage of a guy walking in off the street and taking it. Gone was my passport, cash, tablet, power bank and essentials. So note to other travellers, ask the hotel to lock your bags away, don't just allow them to throw it somewhere, thinking it will be safe.

    Got trauma from the robbery in Paris, material things we always lost and recovered with a lot of effort. We have to worry about the immaterial things, which there is no way to recover, such as love, time, and wrong people who spend devastating everything in our lives, there is not much to do and only makes them suffer.

    HEY GABRIEL, VERY INTERESTING STORY. I HAD SOMETHING HAPPEN TO ME IN PARIS THIS LAST JUNE.I WAS ON MY WAY BACK TO THE U.S. AFTER BEING IN THAILAND FOR 2 YEARS AND LANDED IN PARIS BUT HAD AN 11 HOUR LAYOVER AND FELL ASLEEP AND MISSED MY PLANE TO LONDON. I WAS STANDING IN THE AIRPORT WITH $40.00 IN MY POCKET. NOT A GOOD FEELING. LONG STORY SHORT, I ENDED UP GETTING SICK AND SPENT 7 DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL. 7,000 EUROS LATER THEY LET ME OUT AND I FINALLY GOT A FLIGHT TO FLORIDA. IT WAS NOT A LOT OF FUN BECAUSE I SPENT MY BIRTHDAY IN THE HOSPITAL. LOL HOPEFULLY THE TRIP BACK WON'T BE AS BAD.

    I was 18 in the summer of '90 as well, Gabe, traveling brother-man. That's one of the reasons I have watched you for years now, plus I get to vicariously experience all these places via you and your GoPro. J'ai un question: Did you see any evidence of the Yellow Vest Movement in Toulouse or anywhere else in France in the last nine months? Blessings to you in your many travels.

      Right on, no I didn't see anything of those protests happening when I was in France. I also visited Cannes and Nice just last week but didn't see anything going on there. I haven't been following it much, I just know there were protests in Paris but not sure about the rest of the country.

    Hey Gabe! Did you get the camera trouble straightened out?

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  5 років тому

      Nope, it still has the stuttering issue in low lighting. I'm working around it by either turning off the stabilization in low light or editing it out when it does that. Really annoying, especially if I try to film anything in the evening.

    That man submerged in the fountain water was scary!
    Did you later find out what the deal was? I was hoping you'd ask someone if they knew if it was an art experiment, stunt or something else. Often times in big cities people don't want to bother about such things since everyone is busy. Maybe I should go through the comments below to see if anyone with better knowledge has commented about it. #DCTraveler

      Thanks. I'm not a casino guy so that's not my scene to get involved in. I spent a week in Vegas and didn't gamble a single penny. ua-cam.com/video/WkSBRxx9uhA/v-deo.html However I did work for a casino in a small town in Nevada once for a few weeks, which is a whole weird story that I plan to tell in a video sometime.

    That body in the fountain is so bizarre! Surely somebody has jumped in thinking it's a real person? It sure looks real and no sign saying what it is. It's almost like a very questionable practical joke aimed at freaking people out and maybe fooling somebody into jumping in. Weird!
