Love seeing a hierotek game! Just some easy to miss rules issues I noticed (I don't blame yall this team is weird as hell) 9:07 - Command only works on Immortals and Deathmarks 10:30 - Apprentek only has 2APL and has no ways to improve it 12:51 - Overwatch doesn't limit your attack value so Despotek gets all 4 shots but at bs 3+ 16:26 - The plasmacytes only have 2 defense dice 22:40 - accelerator can only give APL to immortals and deathmarks, Cryptek can only get APL through power leech tac ploy Again I want to emphasize amazing video and great work! Huge fan of your content and these misshaps are completely understandable with the most weird rulesy team
Oh thank you for the heads up! Just a couple of corrections, at 9:07 it's not Command but Magnification Conduit, using the Apprentek just for the line of sight. And for the Overwatch the attack removed is because the Zealot is in the middle of the aim and for the rule of Condensed Environment you roll one less attack. "Because of the Overwatch" it was for the worsened BS ^^
@@TabletopWarbands Oh my apologies I meant for the plasmacyte denoting the wall charge. That losing the attack because of the condense environments make sense! I actually forgot about that while watching thank you for the clarification!
Ahhh yes I'm finally recalling that in this Mission anybody can detonate the charge from any distance with visibility. On my first watch I thought you had to be within an inch to do so. Thank you for that clarification and for the amazing video once again!
What tips do you have for playing against Hierotek Circle? I've found it very difficult to win against them and it's basically impossible to try incapacitating the necrons due to how indestructible they are. They hold objectives very well, once they group up in an area it's almost impossible to get them out, their shooting attacks are really powerful, and I've tried many ways with two different teams to try to counter them but to no avail.
Yeah I agree, they are tough as hell, you can see it in this game as well. I would suggest you to find the strong points of the KT you are playing and play around those. As you saw in this game, eliminating models is not always the solution. If your KT can't beat them just shooting, sometimes you can play the map, try to block passages and focus on objectives. If they group in one place, try to find another useful place if there is. But most of all try to choose the best TAC OPS for the map. Because in the end, even if you kill them they come back. 😅
@@TabletopWarbands Yeah, thanks for the tips! I've been going around researching this and the most common advice I've been seeing is to play the objective more, prioritize tacops, and if possible, take out important necron models when an opportunity comes. Something I have been thinking about is when would it be most opportune to try shooting down a necron. A lot of the time when they get shot at, depending on how lucky your attack rolls are (and how unlucky the necron saves are), they usually don't take much damage and a chunk of it ends up getting healed at the start of the next turning point. Sometimes it has felt like a waste risking multiple operatives to shoot down 1 necron just for it to rise back up next turning point due to reanimation, and often even attempting to go on the offensive like this makes those operatives more vulnerable to be shot back at. Certain operatives, like the Imperial Navy Breachers' Gunner with the Meltagun, can excel at killing necrons, but it may be tricky to do so without endangering the operative. I have heard, however, that the Hierotek Circle is not as great going on the offensive as compared to them taking defensive positions and focusing on counter attacking the opponent. In this situation, I think it would be wise to grab less-contested objectives and score tacops (security probably wouldn't be a good idea considering necrons have security as well and they're pretty good at it), and if the necrons try to move out to attack you, I think that is when it would be a good opportunity to attack them back and reposition. I think I can eventually figure this out. 😅😁
@@3alanking38 yes exactly, every mission is different so it's difficult to determine which could be a good situation, but the concept is to play the game forcing necrons to do bad choices and to split. And shoot them when you don't have to do more important actions with your models.
This one was awesome. It really was a desperate operation of humans vs these indestructible robo skeles.
It really was desperate 😂 Thank you!
Wow, what a late game swing! I’m sure those Necrons will have atonement on their minds for the next million years!
They got distracted by the flesh instead of focussing on the true objective 😃
Thank you 💚
That plot twist at the end... Great game ! I'm really happy to see some Hierotek in action.
Yeah they are really nice!
Well played!
Really good Game both of You!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Atonerment. So pleased by the surprise ending.

You should let us send you models and name them after us. That would be kinda cool
