stuka not at all, they got taken away from front because they were ineffective. for germany it is fw190 or bf 109 and il 2 is not allowed to be missed at most iconic planes
@@christian9125abdthe JU-87 was ineffective after 1941 yes as Germany were no longer on the offensive but you can’t say it’s not an icon of Blitzkrieg or WW2 aircraft.

Yeah they aint beating F6F
I think those are the best choices, 1 famous airplane from each main nation that participated in WW2(in the america category there is obviously fight between P-51 and P-47 so it's personal choice)
Fun fact the German BF109 was actually one of the most produced and effective weapon of the luftwaffe and had the nickname messer Which in german translates to knife which the 109 was quite literally considered the german knife (german: Deutsches Messer) and was the most feared plane of the seecond world war fighrer wise

So many planes could have been there instead of the IL-2 and thunderbolt. They are known planes, yes, but not as well known as the P-51 or B-17. Zero is borderline.
Idk why but when I see a c172 or something like that in the uk at a museum I always hear kids saying is it a spitfire and once a kid called a bf109 a spitfire which hurt me inside lol
