- Here's the fast lap in the McLaren P1. We used the Pirelli Corsa lap for the comparison, but this is the optional tyre McLaren will supply to customers. Car in full track mode.
I was leaning into these corners from my arm chair.

I love that waste gate noise the P1 makes. So much more dramatic than the 650s or 675LT. I'd prefer to listen to that over the Ferrari V12

lol, it would. Koenigsegg's may look like they're just all about power and top speed, but they're actually very capable on the track.

+JDMTouge I dont get why you would want this. He has done multiple separate tests on both of them, and they are completely different cars for different audiences. If you want to draw a conclusion on them, you might be able to do it yourself.

How about a final vid on here saying fairwell to this channel or at least an update. As salty as many fans of Top Gear were with the departure of Ckarkson and co there are also plenty admirers of your work who'll be thrilled to see you get the exposure you deserve.

The P1 engine and turbo sounds really takes me back to watching Getaway in Stockholm 2 with the Ford Escort and being blown away by how cool it sounded.

Jeez, the Trofeo R shows how much difference an more aggressive tire can do... the front end just seems so much more stickier and cooperative compared to the standard Corsas... that 1.8g corner must have been intense. Ferrari just seemed to do a dumb thing by opting for such a fat rear rim for which there seems to be no street legal R compound tire available like the Michelin Cup2 or the Trofeo, and to keep things fair to themselves they make every competitor run on their not as fat rear street tires in tests, and they still manage to cock up. I mean what sort of an idiot that owns any of those beasts would take them to a track and not have enough spare change for a set of R compounds. Just silly if you ask me. If they opted for a slightly more conventional width at the back and sacrificed some performance on the street then they could have the option to strap on a set of stickies and obliterate the competition on track. ~.~

Zac Youngson Sorry if I offended you Zac. I'm not bashing Ferrari here, I think it's one of the greatest cars ever built. The stuff I stated above came straight from people who drove that thing so I was just expressing my confusion about why Ferrari chose to make a decision that would only allow their car to be driven at 9/10ths in motor tests while in stock form while simultaneously asking for the competitors to do so as well. My english is pretty shit so I may have come across as an angry tard back there so apologies for that. :D

Put these tyres on the 918 and see what's happening. The 918 weights more, is less powerful amd can go around the lap in electric mode while still being as fast as the P1 in race mode!! THAT is impressing.

Was just doing this in Assetto Corsa, inspired by your previous video. 1.48.3 in the P1 on trofeos. 1.50.7 in the LaFerrari. Amazing fun!

+Håkan Lindfors I think no one is willing to provide one or something like that. Is not like journalists are running away from Koenigsegg, they don't get to drive them because they are not offered to. Which is kinda weird, isn't it?
+Mzn T It may be that Koenigsegg is no longer considered in the same league, price wise or power wise. The RS is about 600k more than the LaFerrari(the most expensive of the three) and it makes about 200 hp more than the LaFerrari(most powerful of the trio) while it weighs in over 300lbs less than the McLaren(lightest). There's a video out there claiming the older Agera R is outlapping the three, surely the track oriented RS would be able to turn even faster laps.
