Rise Against frontman Tim McIlrath looks back on writing the huge single 'Savior' in this clip from the Rock Sound archive. Released on their 2008 album 'Appeal To Reason', the track has since been certified platinum in the United States.

I'm not entirely shocked that this almost was cut out of the album since it's knee-jerk interpretation of the lyrics didn't match prior songs, but I am so grateful that it didn't get buried and forgotten. I interpret this song pretty different than before I was married. Thanks for not giving up on this song.
