Definitely appreciative of the advice. Fishing for them on bottom was definitely the way to go. When I had the live bait on the bobber I didn't even get one bite it was when I switched that it was like instant.

Yeah I usually just free line them and do a stop and reel retrieve..

Do they have tackle stores around that area? Any store where you can buy shiners/minnows?

Yea they got tackle stores they mostly specialize in saltwater equipment tho. Easier to get your stuff at Walmart

@@OnlyfinsfishingOK well I’d imagine they wouldn’t be too happy if an invasive fish got off your hook. Works too good to not do it, got my first peacock right off the boat launch with a goldfish

Somebody had left some there and they were like decaying so I just used it. It was stinky and nasty but it worked.
