I love both of these intelligent, personable, and authentic, people. I found them this morning at 4am and it is now 2:40pm. I now consider them my friends and they can com boondock at my home in Florida anytime they want. Frank, too.

Those cans are outstanding to make char cloth with... Fire starter material. I've done it with that cookie brand container!!! Others I've used to store cotton balls with a tad of vasiline on it for fire starter or if skin needs it.
Never throw those into a trash can. It can store many things. Otherwise give it away.

Char cloth... Puncture a small hole on lid about 1/4 inch long with a knife. Put 90-100% cotton inside from a T-shirt. Seal lid tight of container and place over a small slow buring fire. Once black smoke comes out of hole the cotton is chared. Wait after a minute.
Its great for flint starters or ignighting tiny twigs etc.
I did it for the heck of it and tried to see if it works and it did. The rest I've kept for an emergency.

All guest in the tent. Does the hostel have a couch? Just an option. He would have more floor space to roll around. Were is Frank sleeping? Oh no, Frank lost his bed. LMAO.
My kids are going on a van adventure also. I was very nervous because like you, they are athletics, smart, clean couple who look very innocent. Watching your videos make me feel better. Thank you!

Actually, they make nice recyclable homebaked cookie tins - even for DONUTS. Buy a box and save MONEY!
I was so happy to hear Trent say that the tin is for sewing...goods. My whole long life they are sewing tins. And Sucrets (now Antoids) tins are for safety pins, sewing pins, and Bobbie pins. It is the same for all of my sisters and daughters. Tins are treasure boxes!

Butter cookies in the tins ARE a Utah thing. I grew up in Utah and they are my favorite.... I love the swirl ones because they’re crispier! The tins were always used for storage growing up. -- I think I know Tony. I remember seeing him as a teen. Maybe he knows my younger sisters. I’m older than y’all. It's been ages since I had butter cookies. Are they similar to Lorna Doones? ? Those are MY fav. With Xmas around the corner - maybe I'll take advantage of their availability everywhere and try them again.

So fun. Love your van layout and my boys and I have been talking about ways to make it work for the three of us. One idea we’ve had is to make a ledge on each of the bench seats, then place a piece of wood on them turning the bench seats into a single bed. Would that be as long as the bed?

It's good to see Tony join you folks. ☺️ Maybe we can consider a small makeshift table kind of board for future, that can be placed between the benches. A third person can sleep on it the same way you guys using the bed, width-wise in the van. Just a thought. You could always carry that extra board in the garage.

Aw hiya tony, Trent and Allie, well you’ve got good news with your friend arriving well me too I went to hospital my right hand cast was removed and my left elbow turned out was not broken so now I’m free of casts, hope you all had a great and comfy night see you all soon, I did have a temporary cast on my elbow which was plaster and filling this went from above my elbow right down to my hand and over my thumb, but when they took my right hand plaster off they sent me back to see the specialist he took the temporary cast off and showed me the X-ray and said it’s not broken, so I said so I’ve had this on or over a week and it’s not broken no he replied typical at least I’ve no broken bones now lol xx

Get a tent hammock. Attach one end to the van and use a pole or tree for the other end. They come with screen and rain-proofing.
Try getting a hammock that can be strung up in the van to use as a guest bed. One anchor near the front and one back by your bed may work.

Hope there's at least one more video with Tony. As a viewer it's always real interesting to see a third join a couple's travel vlog, on the one hand that person acts as a sort of stand in for us, and on the other we may witness subtle changes in the couple's persona when a third becomes part of everyday activities, so we get to know the couple better.

You need a front seat bed. I think there is an inflatable one for Dodge vans. Some Roadtreks have them as options.

Thanks for explaining TnT MTB. Now I'm going to have to check those vids out. As for Tony's sleep space, what if you use the console table board to bridge the gap between the two benches? If the board is wide enough, you nail two wood strips underneath to keep the board in place. Then you would just need another cushion to make a guest bed.
