Nice video. It's great to see a woman sharing her knowledge of cars and helping people out. Just replaced my trunk latch after watching your video. Not bad at all once you've seen someone do it, so thank you. Also nice to see women helping out other women. Good for you. Many thanks!
Great video. Took about 5 minutes to change to new one. I have a 2003 Honda Accord. The brass piece was also on my old latch. It held the cable from my trunk key location. Too difficult (not enough room) to reattach. No need for it since the I can manually open trunk with release next to driver's seat.
The connecting tabs on Hondas are a real treat. I was going to change my horn on my Pilot from the weak beep beep to “a real horn “. I found I would have to take off almost the entire front to access them. Plus I was missing around 8 connectors holding the bottom! I just pretend I’m being ironic now. That’s what lazy is.
Same problem and new latch still didnt work. I went searching for videos and found that the metal piece that this latches on had to be adjusted as well.

I’m glad you found this video helpful and congrats on changing it out yourself and saving some $$!
I got lost with many videos in UA-cam, the guys just made things too complicated. What you showed here is so simple.

Glad you found a solution that worked for you and thank you for sharing how yours was a bit different to help others in the future!
Thanks a ton! I just noticed that the wiring was torn in my husband’s car so I’m probably going to go grab this piece and replace it this weekend.
Oh no! It is definitely a vital piece that we don’t realize we need until it’s broken (the trunk and latch)!
Thanks for the easy to understand fix!
This is my dream girl. Knows about this stuff and sounds cute. Damn
Making new videos every week!! Appreciate the ❤️
That brass piece you had on the new part is for the manual pull release inside the car. And it’s a mofo to get hooked up.
Woo! Thanks girlies!
Super helpful!

I understand... Plastic is here to stay unfortunately. It does help to have a trim removal tool of some sort!
Thank you!
Thanks a lot!
Really helpful! Obligatory Liked and Sub’d 👍▶️

Ouch! Glad you got it figured out, I wonder what happened to bump the catch out of line?!
Hi! What did you use to take off the 10mm hex bolts?
This is my exact problem. What is the part number, just to be safe while ordering? I have a 07 Honda Accord EX
The Amazon part is listed in the video description: amzn.to/3siWeZA
