I would be hesitant to use bungees for a spare tire inside a passenger vehicle. With the wheel installed, it's a large, heavy object and will go flying around in an accident. That's one reason I haven't gotten a spare yet.

Thanks for the thoughts on this. My new to me AWD Sienna didn't come with run flats and I don't really want them. I may try to find a donut and look at my son's Sienna to see how it sits in the corner, he won't notice the plastic missing will he? For now I guess it's slime as the backup. 😁

I have a 2017 Xle model and it does fit behind the seat laying down flat but you can't fold the seat all the way down with it back there. It actually really sucks..

Looking at the 2024 Sienna LE it does have the option for a spare tire that goes into the pillar to the driver side of the back area. What year is this one?

Consider that in the event of a rear end impact on your vehicle ,that tire becomes a flying object

Not on the AWD. Toyota put run flats on the AWD to make room for its AWD system and threw out the spare. You have the 2WD if you see a spare under the car.
