I just saw them in Houston Texas and this was their second song. If you want to check my channel, it’s the Houston opening video. They are the bast band I’ve ever seen live and I’m 55 years old and have seen hundreds of shows. Gacharic spin blows them all away. Good luck seeing them in Japan

This song proves to me they are the most entertaining, and exciting best band undiscovered

Hi Sabina - yes this song is fire! 🔥
They’re playing a big show on 23rd Feb with an announcement to be made, probably a new album. Amazing if you get to see them live in Japan, they usually operate a lottery system on tickets though which can make it tricky.
I hope they will tour elsewhere but not sure it’s very likely, but I will continue to get joy through watching on YT and hopefully more people can discover them through your channel 🤞

How much can one band pack into one song? Let's recap: Awesome bass intro, auto-tuned vocals, metal screams, guitar solo, crazy keyboard outro solo with double-kick drums, with them throwing the bass and guitar at the end. Not to mention, their energy is unsurpassed. I'm sure I missed something too. LOL!

Hi Sabina! It's nice to get in early when you release a video. The title of the song translates to "'Naked Liar' live video in Toyosu". I've been loving your reactions to Gacharic Spin. Thank you! 🙂

So glad how much you're enjoying Gacharic Spin, they're extremely addictive. Amazing musicians, song-writers, superb performers who always give it 110%.
I've seen them live many times and it's always an incredible experience (you will feel exhausted but euphoric for a few days afterwards though).
You can use online ticket purchasing businesses to get tickets for you as it's often very difficult for non-Japanese, but the services are very easy to use. Gacharic Spin often sell tickets via lottery but if you get in early it should be fine. I've entered lotteries for myself and friends for multiple concerts before and non of us have ever missed out on one we went for.
They are still very active, they have a big one-man (AKA single band) show on the 23rd Feb. I had hoped to attend but sadly have work commitments. For most of to 2010's they were playing 100-200 shows a year, they've obviously had a big break with pandemic but have still gotten in as many shows as they can, and they're starting to ramp up touring again. They are very excited that restrictions on audiences not being allowed to sing along or cheer have been lifted in Japan in the last few weeks so crowds can get more involved.

Oh yeah, they are still making new music! Such an amazing band, but the whole J-rock and J-metal scenes are deep and rich. It's very interesting to me how feminine these Japanese girl bands can be while still being such powerhouses. Now, to clarify, I don't think that's at all contradictory or "weird", only that I wonder why it's such a rare thing here in the West? Why isn't it "okay" for women in western rock and metal bands to be feminine, even girly, y'know? I don't know what's going on over there in Japan, but I'm so here for it! I wish I could be _there_ for it, so now I'm looking forward to your in the field reporting (I do hope you'll vlog it at least a little) later in the year. Even if you can't catch Gacharic Spin when you're in Japan I hope you'll be able to take in another gig or two.

I totally agree with you. When you know that everyone in the band can sing great it is totally okey to use an effect on the voice. And they just do it in some songs.
Their energy and skills are amazing😁👍

Song Name: LOCK ON One of their highest energy runs, but then aren't they all? Regarding the effects on the voices. I was watching a reactions from I think Wave Potter, who said that if the singer is even the slightest pitchy, the sound processor with spit out something horrendous, so the singer MUST be spot on for it to work correctly. Which says a great deal about their talent. As always, I love your enthusiasm Sabina.

I understand they use a vocoder on this song -- different from autotune which they do not need. They used the vocoder in the earliest renderings of this song that I've come across. It's for a special voice synthesizer effect, like the megaphone effect in their song Gold Dash. I've mentioned earlier how much the performers Mai, Arisa, and Nene added to the 2015-19 lives. But this clip reminds me how well they pulled together with Angie's participation and everyone (including dr. yuri!) kicking it up several notches to bring an equivalent energy to the stage. A really good example of that are the video clips from their 2019 Anime Matsuri (Houston) show. They're so good at delivering that energy to all of their live performances, not to mention their polished instrumental skills. By all means, take the opportunity to see them!

My videos from the anime matsuri show were from the front row right in front of Hana and later Yuri on electronic percussion and they don’t do justice to just how powerful and wonderful they are live. It’s the best show I’ve ever seen and I’m old and have seen hundreds

Not heard these before, but like Lovebites they don’t fail to impress! Liked the growling, tastefully done and not overdone, not a fan of auto tune being used though.
You were rocking it so I guess you enjoyed watching them, rock on 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Great band, especially 'Mindset' and ' I Wish I' and so many other songs. Have you heard their other manifestation as Doll$boxx. Thet borrow Fuki, lead singer with Unlucky Morpheus and are just as fantastic. See 'Take My Chance' and 'Toy Soldiers' live

I am not a huge fan of autotune either and I didn't like their songs that used it when I first discovered them. But their live videos and their energy basically converted me and now I enjoy most songs by them where they do use it. I still really dislike the effect in general (ever since I heard it first on a Cher song back in the late '90's), but I do think it can at least work for some artists and I actually really like this track now.

  • @realdocloco
    @realdocloco Рік тому

To clarify the autotune thing: it's one of their first songs and their first singer ARMMY was using the autotune on it as a special effect, not to correct her pitch (she was a good singer and most of their songs didn't use autotune). Sadly she left and then died a bit later. So, using autotune on this song is a kind of tribute to Armmy, fans want to hear it that way, even if Hana, who's singing it now, doesn't "need" autoune either of course.

I don't recommend anyone to travel to Japan in the summer. It's crazy hot in the morning and at night, and it rains heavily every day, making it extremely humid and unpleasant.
Also, summer is in the middle of typhoon season, typhoons may hit and ruin your trip. If possible, avoid summer and come to our country in spring-March, April, May or autumn-Oct, Nov, Dec.
Not only is the weather nice, but our food is also much better in the spring and autumn.

If you are planning to go to Kyoto, the most popular tourist destination, please be careful of heatstroke and dehydration. Kyoto is a basin, so the whole city becomes a murderous sauna in the summer and a deadly freezer in the winter. I spent 4 years there my college days, I always tried to escape from there before Gion festival 祇園祭, one of the biggest festivals held at the end of July.
