It's packed with flavour and has great texture. It'll keep the whole family happy and it's easy to make.

    INGREDIENTS:
    -onion 1
    -mushroom 300g
    -sage 4 leafs
    -thyme 4 sprigs
    -chestnut 1 pack 200g?
    -tamari 4tbsp
    -oil 2tbsp
    -garlic 1clove
    -leek 1
    -beetroot 1
    -salt 7/4 teaspoon
    -black pepper 1/2 tsp
    -smoked paprika 1/2 tsp
    -nutritional yeast 4 tbsp
    -jackfruit 100g
    -couscous 100g (cooked)
    -ground flax 3tbsp
    -water 9tbsp
    -white wine 100ml
    -walnut 100g
    -cashew 150g
    -tamari 2tbsp
    -juice 1/2 lemon 🍋
    -puff pastry 1 sheet
    -non dary milk for cover

      I didn’t check this super closely but I did notice you forgot to add carrots to the list of ingredients. Thanks for putting this together Lukacs!
      Edit: when I watched again he says carrots will add sweetness and it’s clearly shredded in the food processor but they must have accidentally edited out the part where they say how much carrot to use.
      I made this on dec 24 and it was amazing. I did have a problem finding anything but fresh chestnuts at the store. I roasted them myself according to the label directions from the bag. They remained way too hard even after 30 minutes in the oven so I would not use this ingredient again. I had to use 2 cans of crescent rolls in place of the puff pastry because I couldn’t find that in the store either. That worked out just fine though.
      The flavor was amazing and the texture was wonderful. 2 of my friends who were not vegan tried it and loved it too. Thanks so much, I think this will be a tradition every holiday season and I would make it even for a regular non-holiday dinner. Thanks so much for this amazing recipe!

    I made this a couple of days ago and it was very tasty. I changed it a bit as I didn’t have some ingredients. Mainly the chestnuts and mushroom are key. Plus other veg that I had in !

    Amazing recipe! Making it is quite time consuming, so I make a few at a time and pop them in the freezer - makes Sundays easy. Delicious!

    I made this last year for our first vegan Xmas and it was delicious!! I couldn’t find gluten-free puff pastry and didn’t make my own so I used a GF pie crust from Trader Joe’s, unfortunately they only sell them seasonally around the holidays, so stock up! I ended up rolling out one of the crust laying the duxelles and adding on top of my molded filling. It was amazing! This year I found GF puff pastry and am excited to be using puff pastry rather than pie crust. I’m also making an adaption of this recipe by adding seasoned impossible ground “meat” adding blitzed nuts (chestnuts, cashew and walnuts) sage, thyme, rosemary, veg and lentils. I am going to try to “pre-stuff” it by adding a layer of stuffing .
    The conversion for the temperature of 185* C is 365* F.

    This dish tastes sooo good! I doubled the recipe and everyone in our family- those inclining to a vegan diet and meat eaters- really enjoyed this Wellington and said that they would love to have it again. I also made your vegan gravy with it and it was also a big hit. Thank you for this recipe. The video was a big help as well.

    I made this for Christmas dinner last year and it was a sensation. Revisiting now (standing in my kitchen). Cooking the mushrooms ahead of time. I've made a double batch of the mushrooms so we can have some as pate with Christmas eve drinks ❤️

    Could you do a video on different sauces and gravies? No nuts please. in the usa the prices on nuts are high. seeds are cheaper like sunflower seeds.
    and No tofu most of the tofu is GMOed in the USA.

      Just had it for xmas dinner, it was real nice, id say worth it. Have loads left over for tomorrow too 👍

      @@Canirapeyouanally why would you waste your time watching a vegan recipe video when you clearly don't respect the lifestyle? And not that I have to explain myself to a stranger, but I want to make this as a special treat for my one vegan guest, so that they have something to enjoy on my dinner table other than salads.

      @@MissRnH if its only for 1 person, id say maybe half the recipe to save waste. The middle stays soft and mushy, I blended mine in the food processor, I wouldn't do that again, id leave it the way it is outta the pan. And definitely use the knife he suggests 👍😅 enjoy cooking 🙂
