I actually searched for videos on how to decline a date and I watched a few and yours gave me finally the courage to type down my answer to him. I was asked to have dinner some time with a guy I know from a shared hobby and I was so scared to say no. But I don’t want to go out with him. With you it felt like I was with a friend as I typed my answer to him. I said „Thank you so much, but I am not interested at the moment.“ And while your video was still playing I pressed „send“. Now I am fighting the urge to explain myself to him, it’s one of my biggest problems, I always try to explain myself in any given situation and I have to learn that I don’t have to explain anything to him.. Ugh, this is hard!

I try to use, "I'm flattered, but I just don't feel that we're a good match OR that we have the chemistry I'm looking for." But, sometimes I forget my "go to answers" and things don't end well.
This is a very timely topic for me right now. My husband of 38 years passed away about a month ago... I was messaged by a young man who is about 26 years old!!! Yeah... I blocked him!!!! Very tacky!

Annie, if you don’t want to answer then you don’t have to. You can give a vague answer instead of something direct and then change the subject.
You are never obligated to give information if you are uncomfortable or unhappy sharing it.
I never will tell the full truth to the guy I want to be with and yet continue to reject. It has been twelve years and finally the guy backed off.m and I’m free. The worst would be telling him yes and then I’m trapped by the truth and obligation. I told that guy “No, please Stop wasting my time and find someone else”.
Lmbo, With me it would be, “ You Quasimodo look a like Stop wasting my time and crawl back under the rock you came out from under.” At least that’s what I normally get from women.
