$400 phone that checks all the boxes, especially if you can deal with a lesser camera.
the snap dragon 8+ gen 1 is a very good chip more then enough for most users. you don't need the latest and greatest specs when you won't ever see the gains from the gen 2 or 3. that 2mp depth sensor is not really a camera it is in charge of determining depth and the Bokeh effects. bench marks mean nothing in reality its about the day to ay use the gen 1 is not going to feel slower because the gen 2 and 3 are out. ohh wow a gen 2 or gen 3 are only slightly faster big whoop.
Bought this as a backup to my 14 pro max and just to play with android again 359.99 on Motorola site.

Before you start ranting about a feature of a phone you need to brush up on that feature now it works. A 2mp depth sensor camera is what's used on most smartphones. It's not a camera that takes pics independently. It's what creates the bokeh background blur. 2mp is all that's needed.

I like your take. Do you have an opinion on the fact they are giving up conveniences that the power user would like for having very convenient things for the enterprise market? My take is, I would not like this for myself, but with the software and ëcosystem" advantages it provides, I'm happy to promote this to my directors over apple products that will take up a higher percentage of my budget on initial purchase and will cost less for their repair and maintenance over time.
just to clarify I 100% share your opinions on the product in isolation, but as a purchaser for a company it makes more sense

$399 now. I bought mine when it first came out and not the least bit disappointed. It's a great phone and was with it at $699 and a steal at $399. Mine's been flawless!
Not as bad as nokia xr21, specs bad, look at when this phone came out, before gen 2 snapdragon I believe
I understand the post was a month ago today. However, the phone is intended for security, though most Motorola phones have ThinkShield. This is a Thinkpad but a phone version. Intended for business and other stuff like that.
Complaining about no SD card.
Unfortunately, all the cell phone companies are in cahoots and have decided to remove expandable memory from cells so they can invest in cloud storage.
Customers are now being forced to use cloud storage versus SD cards.
Good luck finding a cell phone these days that has expandable storage that is offered by your cell phone company.
So if youre not satisfied...bring it back to thrm🎉🎉🎉🎉@1100 dollars😂😂😂before you bought you should have read the specifications and other reviews...😅😅😅

Update: DO NOT BUY FROM LENOVO. Their shipping system is totally crap. I ordered this device 9 days ago and the product has not even been SHIPPED. The customer service is crap, and they lie to you like it's no big deal. If you don't want to waste your time, do not buy from Lenovo please.
I ordered it directly from Motorola and received it in two business days. I live in a rural area.

Either it takes Motorola/Lenovo too long to release this phone with old specs. $1100 I'd rather buy OnePlus 11, Pixel 7 Pro, why would anyone pay $1100 for this phone with crap cameras. Someone at Motorola and Lenovo have their heads up their *sses.
Motorola needs to get with the program and start competing with Google Phones and such with similar specs, quality cameras etc. Also, Motorola updates for their pricey phones needs serious attention. Or they will go by the way of the Dodo Bird and forgotten completely. Unlike LG who still updates old phones and people will remember them for a long time.
It will be hard to reach Pixels level, soft is amazing
