That’s the only thing I disagree with, he has passed his best days big time. Pete is bang on about the business side of things because there are plenty of people out there who are minted in this modern world, but they lack business skills and we’ve seen plenty of clubs in the past that have regretted taking the money without fully understanding the individuals background. It shows Pete cares about the club’s future and wants someone who is just as good if not better than himself when it comes to business.
Unpopular opinion: Pete Winkelman is one of the best owners a club can have.

Peter Winkleman needs to be shown love by his fans, I said in my main comment, he is the Al Davis of Football. Al Davis was owner of the Oakland/LA/Las Vegas Raiders and bled Silver & Black. Winkleman loves his club and those owners are few and far between. My Club West Ham have West Ham fan owners, but Winkleman really loves the club and given the fans a beautiful stadium to enjoy their team. I agree, Top Owner, he needs to influence the Football League in general.

I'm glad he says we are looking for a Manager with proven experience as I wouldn't have been confident in getting promoted with Mark Jackson Managing the team, although I think he did the best he could with the team he had and wish him well for the future.
One thing PW didn't mention is the Academy, that used to be the envy of most of the football league and we haven't had quality young players come through for a long time. I wonder what has gone wrong there, we seem to be making loan signings where we used to have academy graduates to fill out the team that were capable squad players or better such as Nombe, the Baldocks, Kioso, Chicksen, BTA, Dele, Williams, Galloway, Ojo, etc, etc. What is happening with finding and developing local players?

Let's be honest here. This has been coming since 2002 when the move from Selhurst Park was announced.
Should never have been allowed to move the club, should never have been allowed to change the name and should admit failure now and allow this club to die.
They've now lost most of their fans, most if not all now of the old Wimbledon fans who followed them up to MK have left and grovelled to AFC Wimbledon to let them back and they are suffering exactly the same pain as this man inflicted on Wimbledon fans in 2003 when he completed the theft of the club.
Administrators will soon be taking over as Winkelman is rumoured to be running out of money very fast and rumours are that the club are around £20m in debt.
Even if AFC Wimbledon go down again, they are financially secure thanks to fans nationwide purchasing a £10 share to financr the cost to build the stadium with.
The roles are reversed. They are now in exactly the same position as they were in 2003 when they arrived in Wimbledon shirts.
Winkelman has practically admitted, nobody wants to buy the club. I hope he now sees how hard Wimbledon fans worked to keep their club going all those years after all the nasty comments he made about them abandoning their club.
A pragmatic interview from the Chairman. A new vision is key to achieving short term strategic goals. MK MUST get back to L1 on the bounce. The current squad is poor & not at the level of many L2 teams. The new manager must be backed with a mix of new & experienced players. A new Club captain can lead & galvanise the team on the pitch. Leadership on the pitch was in short supply last season. Oh, let's drop the old legacy name of Dons! That was a long time ago & has negative associations with fans nationwide. The team is Milton Keynes! Be loud & proud!

What went wrong. 1 You gamble on a rookie manager which backfired and you appointed him on the cheap. 2 You don't invest in the first team none of the transfer money made appears to have been invested in signing new players. It's complete nonsense that you spent millions because you haven't all the players this season where free agent's or loaned but yet your commercial property development spending has increased. Stop using the football club as a cashcow for your other businesses and swallow your pride and admit you can't take the club any further and sell the club and leave with pride. Where has the money gone from Deli Ali 5 million Scott Twine 4 million because its not been reinvested in the first team

Flippant comment on your club, most of us fans around the country know you have a devoted owner, awesome stadium and likely finances losses every season while trying to build his club. You have a sleeping giant support your club. I am a West Ham fan, we expand to 67,600 capacity next season and will be sold out again for 4th consecutive season. You support your club and fill the kitty. You must be patient. I should know, I am a Hammers fan, patience pays off in the end.
Time to sell, I can't sell my house without putting it on the market, so try the market & see what interest the club gets, pete you don't have the level of investment to take the club further, do the right thing.

That club is a sleeping giant. Winkleman is the Al Davis of the sport of Football. It has a renowned beautiful stadium in the centre of England. It is unusual for club in the heart of a nation geographically not to be huge with a stadium like that. Patience. I rank MK Stadium up there with the 'Death Star' of the Las Vegas Raiders Stadium and the Wanda Municipal Stadium of Athletico Madrid. PS. My team are the Irons, West Ham United, UECL (UEFA Cup) Cup Winners 22-23. MK Don fans, you need to support your club, you have a monster huge club ready to go there.
