Fantastic! one more thing though. What if i want the music to hit after an interview, preferably with a nice transition. so for instance if the intro is over and the titel music sould kick in for the Filmtitle in full spectrum. do i have to split the clip or use an adjustment layer... s.t. like that 🤔
I wasn’t aware of this. Really found it useful so thanks for presenting it. My only question is, what about the fact that you’re going to have this dip in frequency throughout the entire music clip when you would want to it play naturally and louder for any extended period of time in between voiceovers?
Nice one Alex, maybe you could do a tutorial on automation to pull the effects in and out over the course of the video to replicate the ducking effect.
Absolutely. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. I did think about this but the video was getting on a little bit. It’s actually worth talking about it in a new video, especially now that 19 has AI ducking.
If you choose to use a compressor instead of key framing the audio, which do you recommend to be first in the order, EQ then compression or compression then EQ?
Is there an easy way to do a voice analysis to determine the best bands for a specific person? If one person (myself in this case) is always doing the voiceover to a video, how would you recommend going about planning the best values for the bands, or would it just be trial and error?

Giveaway. I had heard of, and use the tip of lowering music in EQ, but the video I saw it in mentioned 1k - 2k, so usually just put one band at 1.5k and lowered that. So gonna try your tip on what frequency to use and to actually save it to the dropdown, so thanks for that! :)
I'm new to DaVinci and I' seemed to have come across something that doesn't have a direct answer when I search it: I imported an MKV that initially had 3 Audio Tracks- music, dialogue/sfx, and a commentary track. Davinci merged the dialogue & commentary tracks into one, and now I can't turn off the commentary without turning off all dialogue. They use both L/R speakers, so turning off one speaker doesn't seem to work. Is there a way to re-import the file while keeping all 3 tracks intact?

I like your videos, but saying ‘2 methods’ is a bit deceiving. Both methods show the same EQ adjustments. Just from a different window/plugin, but it’s the exact same thing.. one method.

Thank you for this fantastic tutorial!
I subscribed even before watching. Great intro and I learned a lot. Thank you
This was really good, thanks so much for making it!
New to me, and helpful!
Excellent tips and great reminders even for guys like me who have been doing audio for quite some time (but not in DaVinci)
Very informative tutorial, as usual, Alexl.
Simple to understand but so useful in my future montages.
Thanks for sharing your tips with us
Giveaway - great tips. I've been editing for decades but the vocal channel was a new one for me that I'll frequently use. Thank you
Every video is very usefull. Thanks for your efforts.

Hi Alex, would you use this EQ in conjunction with the Ducker?
