This Evil Within 2 Achievement Only Gives You 7 Saves...

- It's really too bad that The Evil Within 2 didn't have an achievement for Akumu regardless of the lesser difficulty, but that does it for this franchise! Now we're stuck waiting for The Evil Within 3 which will hopefully bring the Akumu & Classic modes back!

Only 2 deaths is really damn impressive. I really struggled with the first open section of the game without any upgrades.
Then again you gotta think about the time he truly has put into these games.. nobody is ever that good off tha rip

Same... I didn't want to save until I had looted the entire area in chapter 3, so I ended up doing Stefano's manor a dozen times, it was maddening.
I did kind of prefer the 2nd one for one reason only; we actually see character development. We see exactly what Sebastian has gone through and the mental effects of the trauma. In the first game he was essentially just a walking asthmatic patient lol
100000% fair! I think i was a little burnt out on tew2 after doing a derust run and then a classic mode run so my mood was a bit soured 💀

When it comes to gameplay I like both the same, but I quite like how they explore Sebastian's trauma, and also his relationship with his wife.
Although I personally feel it would have been better if they hadn't added semi open world maps, and kept the maps more linear like the first one.

Also man is that enemy design scary to imagine being stuck in a large arena with.
The first was more challenging with both it’s gameplay and it’s difficultly modes to earn you achievements/trophies.
Evil Within 2 is very fun to play and it’s difficultly modes were kinda tough, but nothing as challenging as the first Evil Within’s difficulty modes.
Evil Within 1 was getting thrown into someone else’s nightmare without even knowing it, and being prepared for that challenge because of your own inner demons punishing you with intense trauma, and yet Sebastian barely survives that ordeal and develops more trauma and PTSD as well, the poor guy can’t catch a break.
The Evil Within 2 is about getting another chance to conquer your inner demons and turn your life around for the better, getting more used to the unpredictable nature of being tossed around into other people’s dreams and nightmares and telling yourself, I’ve been through this before, and already seen some crazy things, this doesn’t scare nor bother me because I have my own personal demons to deal with and I am determined to conquer them and rid them of my soul.
Both games are beautifully crafted and tell such a good story, get thrown into a nightmare, become afraid, and learning to deal with and conquer the fear and terrors that you encounter along the way.
Imo 2 was incredibly more difficult due to the save restriction. I think I’d rather do akumu again than do classic again
@@elmu6783 Yeah, Classic mode in EW 2 was a challenge.
I had so many crazy moments when playing through EW 1 Akumu Mode, it’s probably why I connected with it more than Classic Mode in EW 2.
I still love both though considering the whole matter.

Something cool I learned around the Spawn enemies first appearance, if you go around the back of the restaurant and walk down that side instead, the cut scene never plays so they don't spawn in and you get a free walkaway. Works 100% of the time. Classic was honestly a really fun one for me, its like playing as if Sebastian is Hunk in Resi haha. Nothing is wasted.

Both games are great, but I definitely remember the first one more fondly and the DLC is fantastic too! The second one does bring a more satisfying ending too, which the first one kinda needed in all honesty.

3:58 you can just stay in the middle of the ladder while you wait for the door to open. Enemies can't reach you or hit you in any way. Once the door opens they also leave the room for some reason. I didn't spend a single bullet there in my run.
1:06 there's a catch that I'm not sure anyone actually noticed.
Enemies actually move slower attack wise so you could actually just dodge and ignore most Enemies

This was a tough challenge but a very enjoyable one because I love the game. The most important thing is planning your saves and you will most likely have to repeat sections because you didn't save in the right places. The hardest part for me was the last section when you face the Albedo creatures. I had to redo that section so many times.

I remember just giving up on this achievement and turning on the no hit thing in the options after one of my runs were ended by the artist stabing me and sending me to the backrooms.

I honestly don't know why but the first evil within is the only game to genuinely make me get scared so bad I couldn't play it and I had to delete it(multiple times). yet I've played much 'scarier' games. I just can't play the first one.
You can turn on invincibility in the setting to be able to not get harmed
When you get caught by the giant camera in that parkour section it just restarts to the beginning of the maze

I loved this game but it felt like it was trying to be a little too much like resident evil with the more open world areas but felt like the evil within again at certain parts. Especially the secret areas around the map that's about ruvik and stuff

Getting to chapter 5 on this game took me hours, I can’t imagine going for all 17😭

easily.. the rest you can rest / prep, that part though, they just keep coming and honestly, its the reload, couldn't manage it
I did this when the game first came out, I didn’t die until the fire wall part, and then proceeded to die like 10 times
I'm pretty sure my heart rate reached a 180 beats per minute when I did the firewalk section when I was trying to get this achievement a few years ago. Props to you for seeing it through!

everytime i fight the sadist boss in the evil within 2 i always wonder if thats how to would have went down if Sebastian didnt almost get his foot cut off
With the first encounter at 2:47 I learned you can cheese the first fight with him by just going back into the room and then run away to avoid it because its searching mode when you come out, and at 3:41 you can cheese that part too by just hiding on the ladder before everyone goes into searching mode lmao the more you know
Legit did both of these strats on my run, the second specifically saves a huge amount of resources.

I love 1 and 2 I actually beat the 1st one on my 360 version of the evil without on akuma, but achievements don’t carry over 😪
I did this challenge and then a week later they added an update where you can turn infinite health on and still get the achievement...

This game is like Silent Hill mixed with Resident Evil and it is really good. They nailed the atmosphere. The original is awesome as well. Super nerve racking doing Akumu mode.
I remember when I went for that achievement my game had 4 crashses losing hours of progres each time.

YES!!! dfinetly preferred the first game to the second one when it comes to story/progression.
The second was nauseatingly corny and egocentric (u know all about Seb and his problems ... IDC!), while the first focused more on the world and the villain, leaving a lot to the players imagination. Seb was just a dude unlucky enough to be trapped in this mess, which worked for me.
I feel like with 2 they tried rly hard to work with the critisism and inevitably made a mess.
Anima however was relly good, and Stefano was pretty neat aswell (even if somewhat random).
Me: If i can beat the dark souls trilogy without using a bonfire then this should be easy

Ive spent about 875 hours on TEW2
(Its the only game that i could play forever and not get bored)
Akumu is literally like normal difficulty for me, if i play anything lower than that difficulty i shit you not i will be pissed off at how easy it would be...
You could easily just use the cheat menu available, infinite ,health,speed ,power easy
You should try dead space 2 hard core mode. You get 3 saves over 15 chapters and enemies hit like a truck

Was this easier or harder than Dead Space 2 hardmode? Also can’t argue that the memory segment was one of the greatest parts of this game, though I personally enjoy the whole game.
The first part of TEW2 is easy the coolest bosses and artistically most pleasing.
I hope they will release a 3rd game with Ruvik taking revenge on mobius.. something like that
Laura is odd to bring back, out of all the bosses in the first game. Since she feels like one of the most integral to Ruvik’s character, and he’s not part of this game.
I also think the original is a better game. Kind of inspired to get the TEW1 & 2 trophies because of these videos, I'll go back to em someday. TeW1 was my favorite horror title of the PS4 era by a wide margin, it's RE4.5 straight up.

funny enough, my favorite part of this game was Theodore's blood realm, and my least favorite was the one with the classic bosses.

only 7 save was not hard and doing this as try to clear the game on a speed run makes it lil more hard lol but unlike how the 1st game was this one was a lot of fun not play it for long time but i do recall talking about a error in a save date in 2017 but am sure lot more good on ps4 + do not got to worry about ps4 shuting down like the xbox will
