When you max out the damage on either of these tools, which takes 2 damage Circuits, which literally can be done in chapter 4, these tools will kill all enemies in one shot. Slap an Ammo Box on the side and you essentially have double the Mag size before you need to reload manually. So you get a 6 shot Seeker/Contact Beam. Then I had a second tool that was some variation of AR and Rocket Launcher when you get that in chapter 8. Suddenly. I was basically untouchable. Put yourself up against a wall where you can funnel all enemies towards you and you will kill EVERYTHING. Hell at max damage with the Contact Beam, it'll kill Enhanced Necros in one shot, and kill Alien necros in Two, compared to the Seekers 4. It was, honestly a very boring 13 hours. Oop, the Feeders were indeed former humans who ate necromorphs. The reason they did this is out of desperation since the space station in orbit got infected and stopped sending supplies. So what would happen is those who survived went crazy with the remaining few hiding and locking the place down. Either dying of starvation or being eaten.
Recently just replayed this on impossible, I had forgotten 99.9% of it from the first time it came out and I played it. It is that forgettable. I now hate this game I will be destroying it soon, I never want to play it again it is tedious as the man says, well done great video
Its such a shame because some of the story and lore are so amazing! But the game is just a load of horsecrap after horsecrap. I dont remember many parts, but one that did stuck me, was a series of rooms where EVERY room was quiet when you entered it, and then with the mandatory jump scare piano screech, enemies came from all directions and bum rushed you This went on for 4 rooms, from wich point it was just comedic, and i just went "is this game serious" and then it went on for like another 8 or so rooms. Not even fucking kidding... Who designed that???
So there is an even more OP gun that I used to breeze through hardcore solo. It's the rivet pistol with electrocution module. Rivet pistol has high rate of fire, enormous magazine size, fast reload, and you walk fast while aiming. And the electrocution module has high DPS and AoE and it stuns enemies. Combat was simply shoot one rivet under your foot then electrocute. The necromorphs will run up to you then die. The only exception is the brute and twitcher but that just means put one rivet into them then electrocute. This gun was broken to the point I barely ever got hit and got the Drill Sergeant achievement by accident. Oh, and about the drill. It's busted. If you hug the wall the drill will never hit you. Even better, when it goes out of control, it'll clear swathes of necromorphs for you. Yeah, you took way more risks than I did especially with those climbing section. Watching you I'd liken it to a horror movie where the audience is going "y u doin that, the killer is right there". I was like 'da rock! da rock is going to hit you and kill you'. 'y u getting close to the elevator? It's gonna kill you!'. I died once and it just so happened to be at the final flying bit where I guess something hit me.
I had to laugh a little when you died just touching the cage on the repelling wall, because I died the same exact way, before and after dying on that wall many more times.
My favourite weapon pairs in this game are circular saw/ force gun + explosive spear/ grenader and of course, a damage-focused plasmacutter. The first one is used to crowd control. The spears will bring down most tougher enemies and the grenader is used to take care of nasty fights like those with leapers or ice pickers. Plasma cutter is useful in early maps where you can save a lot of resources most importantly tungsten. My only gripe is that they downright nerfed the contact beam which was late game gear of choice in ds2
The contact beam nerf pissed me off so much, like I finally get to that sweet sweet 1st bench and I’m like “woah you can get the contact beam already?” To find out it is literally like throwing rocks at a tank.
You can grab enemy rockets with telekinesis out of the air and shoot them back to the enemy, it needs some practice but it's pretty easy once you get the timing and it's a super cool mechanic.
@@tree4318 You only have to equip those suits once to get the extra inventory slots and then you can switch back to any of the other suits and keep them. So they're half cosmetic?
Yep that swinging elevator is a bitch to go through, and it's the very thing that I dread even on normal playthroughs I can still remember that shit since 2013
I still say DS3 is a decent game. Co-op wasn't forced which was nice. The "lack" of scares I look at it from Isaac's POV. He's already had to deal with 2 different outbreaks already. So he already knows what he's walking into. While the weapon crafting was just a way to shove in Micro Transactions, I still say it was a nice touch reminding everyone that Isaac isn't a soldier. He's an engineer so it would make sense that if given the necessary parts and components he would make his own weapons. The only thing I dislike about 3 is the DLC which is ironic since most people love the DLC. The DLC in my opinion makes everything that you just went through in the main game was all for nothing. It was obvious that this was going to be the last game in the series so after spending 4 games fighting against the Necromorph scourge why not go out on a high note and end the marker threat for good. Also I know that there's "Video Game Logic" But there is no way in hell, I can believe that after defeating the Bretheren Moon, that both Isaac and Carver would survive a free fall back down to the frozen planet of Tau Voulantis with broken Rigs... All in all it's still a good game.
4 was actually planned by the devs. You'd be scavenging through wrecked ships in space, looking for survivors and retaliating against the Moons wherever possible, just trying to keep your ship running the whole time. EA, of course, axed it because they thought Visceral was the reason DS3 failed and not their own meddling.
bruh. the entire game is just the main cast bitching and moaning and screaming at each other. Having to suffer through any of the game's script already makes it a 1/10
"Even if you're starving, why not just do normal cannibalism?" I feel like with the way necromorphs and the marker work, any dead body is gonna count as being one, so that's probably not a good idea either way.
The entire moutain climbing with swinging elevator part is honestly intellect issue. This dude just would not let the elevator swing left before he stasis it and just kept jumping TOWARDS it like this dude cant be serious.
Believe it or not, I got this achievement the first time I attempted it. For anyone who wants to attempt it, make sure you complete Pure Survival first for that sweet epic recourse cache and weapon parts kit.
DS3 gets hate because when compared to DS 1-2 it isn’t even close, and there isn’t much horror. I will say on my first play through when shooting the probes in the alien I was genuinely worried waiting for whatever was gonna come for me
After DS2's Hardocre, I couldn't even be asked to attempt this one legit and just used a thumb drive to back up my saves. The environment is more likely to kill you than the actual enemies 😆
YES! I totally agree, the hardest difficulty is just BS. You have to use cheese guns, just to make it less tedious. This game feels like a co-op game, with a single player mode, as opposed to the other way around. You are always outflanked, the enemies are stupidly fast and resistant to damage, there are too many enemies that have large amounts of invincibility frames. Resource management is out of the window.. need more ammo? Plop down the bot and wait 10 mins. (5 with dlc). Need meds? Bot. Stasis? Bot. Water based lube? Bot. And I see that you gravitated towards the gatling chain gun, like me and EVERYONE I KNOW, who has played DS3. They have this entire arsenal of customisable weapons, and.... nope. There is no reason to use anything other than the chain gun.
For anyone else who wants to go for this achievement, the gun he made can be made even more broken by using a stasis coating attachment that makes every round apply a little stasis. On most guns, it's worthless, but with it's rate of fire, it is literally just infinite stasis. Slap a couple fire rate and damage circuits on it and boom. OP
Honestly, apart from Dead Space 3 being a very mediocre attempt at a shooter, the most bullshit thing about the whole game is the sequel bait ending which was on a whole other level of 'yep dear player, screw you'.
Hardest part of this whole game by far is that one hanging elevator part......and finding the will to turn the game on. No shame dying there, just immense paiiiin.
Watching this was painful. Yes, I've done every achievement in every Dead Space. Hardcore on 2 and 3 each took me 3 attempts. I remember Dead Space 2 was the worst. Made it all the way to Chapter 13 I think it was (the one where you let the necromorphs into where the government soldiers are bunkered down). That sucked.
I actually just read the summary of dead space 3 and apparently there is dlc where both guys don’t die and it’s shows they survived the moon. And at the end it shows a whole bunch of moons going and destroying earth and hitting there ship.
The River shotgun that fires incendiary bolts and has a plasma blade melee attack took me through the entire mid-endgame it’s such a beast. Forget the blueprints name but by god it’s incredible
Glad I got that achievement long ago when 4 people would be online and I'd lucky to have a battle buddy. Then kick them out for the flying sections. And then invite them back in after they were done too
Got this achievement a couple weeks ago and I was sweating bullets during that climb from yours and snamwiches video. I only died once and that’s cause I was focusing on the necromorphs and not that big ass drill lmao
if not for the circumstance of the challenge, you would have discovered quickly that the save system is buggy and always brings you back a solid 5-10 mins from where you actually saved. That genuine EA quality guarantee.
Was this on PC? As I've very rarely had trouble with the climbing through the 8 or more playthroughs I've done on PS3. My biggest con personally for this game, they lock a couple of artifacts and several logs behind the co-op levels. This has stopped me getting 100% for so long.
The weapon customization got me but after you know how necro works I.e can be all lured to a single vent access where you can bait them all to a trap, you make one weapon base in traps for ammo economy and one weapon that can one hit anything well aside from bosses So yeah it's a stasis trap weapon that rotates on the ground (since their trap on stasis their like stepping on a blender)
It's a real shame that this game killed the franchise because EA couldn't pull their heads out of their asses. If the game has been allowed to be good, then there almost certainly would have been the sequel they were planning.
I actually loved DS3. It wasn't the best in the series but it was still a good time, imo. The crafting system was what really kept me playing. I crafted some pretty creative weapons of destruction, I tell you what.
During the summer of when dead space 3 was released I constantly replayed the entire campaign memorizing every enemy rocket trooper mountain climbing/space flight instadeath moments and sure enough I ended up passing hardcore mode quickly almost died by a rocket trooper but my pause button finger was quick and I restarted the checkpoint
Game is literally only enjoyable as a buddy shooter. It has very little of the atmosphere of its predecessors, and the dynamic between Isaac and Carver provides just about the only worthwhile material in the game
I haven’t tried the hardest difficulty yet but I’ve played a difficulty to get the devils hands. And that weapon is pretty much a one tap so now that I’ve seen your gameplay, I’m 100% sure I’d finish with little to no issues.
a nice cheat is to reset checkpoint at the beginning of the first side mission and loot the crate that can be found out in the open among the debris to pretty much get free resources infinitely and just to clarify, many things are actually explained, per say, the feeders exist because they canivalized necromorphs because of an outage on food supplies pretty much everywhere on the planet. Many of these things are explained through the side missions. Lore wise this game is very good at saying what it wants to say, but the watered down bs combat, silly character interactions and lackluster villains really didn't help this game
11:45 Mountain climbing is just in general completely broken in this game. I almost died to this part. The only reason I survived is because I had enough stasis packs to spam until the side hop over the gap decided to finally work (key word: DECIDED). On a side note, to anyone trying to beat this challenge, make the weapon Anxietony made, but apply acid bath. Acid bath + force gun is stupidly overpowered. Also, a seeker rifle with full damage circuits can essentially one-tap every non-boss necromorph in the game. It also helps to complete pure survival mode first for those _sweet_ MKII overclocked parts.

I dont remember many parts, but one that did stuck me, was a series of rooms where EVERY room was quiet when you entered it, and then with the mandatory jump scare piano screech, enemies came from all directions and bum rushed you
This went on for 4 rooms, from wich point it was just comedic, and i just went "is this game serious" and then it went on for like another 8 or so rooms.
I died once and it just so happened to be at the final flying bit where I guess something hit me.
its insane how much torture you were put through in this game 😭😭
@@Pipes7472 its still good once fully upgraded but they probably did it to encourage trying out the whole range of arsenal instead of just one
14:34 when you get so mad, that you enter animal mode on the stairs.
That cut away to 'turn it off' caught me off guard so hard lol
I would love to see that review video!
You can grab enemy rockets with telekinesis out of the air and shoot them back to the enemy, it needs some practice but it's pretty easy once you get the timing and it's a super cool mechanic.
17:20 was so hard to watch, I had to pause the video. I can't believe you went through with this. Respect
"suits are purely cosmetic in dead space 3 and the upgrades carry through for each one"
did I just have a stroke?
Acquiring a suit gives you a perk, however you do not have to wear that suit to make use of the perk. You can just wear what you think looks cool
@@monk3110 if acquiring a suit gives you an upgrade, that isn't a purely cosmetic item
Yea why should a game in a horror series have scares? 🤨😂
bruh. the entire game is just the main cast bitching and moaning and screaming at each other. Having to suffer through any of the game's script already makes it a 1/10
didnt force co-op? they literally lock off areas of the game unless you are playing co-op.
@@BigHailFan those are optional side missions. If you don't want to play co-op you are free to play it by yourself if you wish.
"Even if you're starving, why not just do normal cannibalism?"
I feel like with the way necromorphs and the marker work, any dead body is gonna count as being one, so that's probably not a good idea either way.
Holy shit the 5th death and you running up the stairs on all fours just sent me
Before i attempted hardcore i MADE SURE i had the rappelling sections down.
Man I feel your pain here. Took me somewhere between 8-10 deaths to get this myself. Grats on all those amazing rewards lol.
I miss the foam finger from this game.
"Pew pew pew"
"Bang bang"
DS3 gets hate because when compared to DS 1-2 it isn’t even close, and there isn’t much horror. I will say on my first play through when shooting the probes in the alien I was genuinely worried waiting for whatever was gonna come for me
16:45
"Give up, Issac! You're not getting out of there alive"-Danik
"Oh would you shut up, Danik?!"-Issac
"Yeah what he said, Shut Up Bitch!"-The Rock
After DS2's Hardocre, I couldn't even be asked to attempt this one legit and just used a thumb drive to back up my saves. The environment is more likely to kill you than the actual enemies 😆
When I play this game, as soon as I beat the final boss, the ground disappears and I die, which is why I refuse to try hardcore mode. I salute you
compared to the Calisto Protocol, this is a masterpiece...
I made a back up safe to overcome the bullshit you had to go through. Respect to you bro.
I love the co op actually. But yeah doing it by yourself on the harder difficulties are a pain
I would love to watch a video essay by you about this game. Keep up the good work.
The dedication you have is insane, you’re earning that eventual blow up man, keep at it
Subbed ❤ Now we can tease Snamwiches over how many times he dies XD
For anyone else who wants to go for this achievement, the gun he made can be made even more broken by using a stasis coating attachment that makes every round apply a little stasis. On most guns, it's worthless, but with it's rate of fire, it is literally just infinite stasis. Slap a couple fire rate and damage circuits on it and boom. OP
Honestly, apart from Dead Space 3 being a very mediocre attempt at a shooter, the most bullshit thing about the whole game is the sequel bait ending which was on a whole other level of 'yep dear player, screw you'.
"Why not just do normal cannibalism?" was not a phrase I thought I would hear.
Hardest part of this whole game by far is that one hanging elevator part......and finding the will to turn the game on. No shame dying there, just immense paiiiin.
11:47 That's the same exact part where I died years ago and I never touched the game again after.
And at the end it shows a whole bunch of moons going and destroying earth and hitting there ship.
was dying at 17:41 lmaoo
"NO!" lives rent free in my head
Damn it! SPOILER!
I crafted a powerful Rocket Launcher with an attachment that makes you immune to your own explosives.
The River shotgun that fires incendiary bolts and has a plasma blade melee attack took me through the entire mid-endgame it’s such a beast. Forget the blueprints name but by god it’s incredible
I think I used some sort of railgun and a flamethrower with an under barrel acid coated saw launcher. I played it coop so I just made fun guns
Me vibing over here in only using the plasma cutter, and very rarely the other gun you start with. I like my plasma cutter!
My heart would have been in my ass after that first death, fucking hell
Glad I got that achievement long ago when 4 people would be online and I'd lucky to have a battle buddy. Then kick them out for the flying sections. And then invite them back in after they were done too
Got this achievement a couple weeks ago and I was sweating bullets during that climb from yours and snamwiches video. I only died once and that’s cause I was focusing on the necromorphs and not that big ass drill lmao
if not for the circumstance of the challenge, you would have discovered quickly that the save system is buggy and always brings you back a solid 5-10 mins from where you actually saved. That genuine EA quality guarantee.
wait tony you have a youtube? i like these videos. Glad theyre doing well
"This isn't a bad game" "The plasma cutter sucks in this game." That seems pretty bad to me.
Plasma Cutter is actually pretty decent with the right upgrades.
Was this on PC? As I've very rarely had trouble with the climbing through the 8 or more playthroughs I've done on PS3.
My biggest con personally for this game, they lock a couple of artifacts and several logs behind the co-op levels. This has stopped me getting 100% for so long.
yep on PC! i was suspecting for a while that it had something to do with framerate, but i'd rather remain ignorant to it at this point :p
My brother in Christ, I am happy to see the OG OP weapon. Rivet chain gun with Force Gun Under barrel is the only gun worth making.
Lol I marathoned the series by beating each game in one weekend. Guess we're all looking for ways to send off the original trilogy
tuRN it OfF- NYO!
got a good chuckle out of me, thanks for suffering!
Plasma cutter in DS 1: the OG shit. Plasma cutter in DS 3: you serious?
isaac be like in this game: i made this gun player, trust me i'm an engineer
The weapon customization got me but after you know how necro works I.e can be all lured to a single vent access where you can bait them all to a trap, you make one weapon base in traps for ammo economy and one weapon that can one hit anything well aside from bosses
So yeah it's a stasis trap weapon that rotates on the ground (since their trap on stasis their like stepping on a blender)
Yeah I honestly kind of love Carter, even though I saw maybe like 5 minutes of him total?
@@anxietony Carver and Isaac have a really great dynamic, something worth preserving in the eventual Remake.
I haven’t tried the hardest difficulty yet but I’ve played a difficulty to get the devils hands. And that weapon is pretty much a one tap so now that I’ve seen your gameplay, I’m 100% sure I’d finish with little to no issues.
I'm afraid to say the devils hands aren't available on hardcore nor pure survival
a nice cheat is to reset checkpoint at the beginning of the first side mission and loot the crate that can be found out in the open among the debris to pretty much get free resources infinitely
and just to clarify, many things are actually explained, per say, the feeders exist because they canivalized necromorphs because of an outage on food supplies pretty much everywhere on the planet. Many of these things are explained through the side missions. Lore wise this game is very good at saying what it wants to say, but the watered down bs combat, silly character interactions and lackluster villains really didn't help this game
“I’m ready for the Callisto protocol”
Oh boy
2:43 also, this submachine gun along with Carter's Rifle are both considered to be old, like from the ppl in the prologue of the game.
