- Finished replacement of store bought trees in the HO scale layout. Ended up replacing 26 store bought trees. Did add one last tree to bring it up to 27 new trees overall. Scratch built trees are fun to build 😄😄
The trees look awesome and I am good with them as well. It's amazing how scale (height) trees will transform an already great looking layout and bring it into perspective. I also like the fact that you can see through them and you need to navigate around them to look down defilades, etc. Cheers! 😁
Bill, your pine trees are looking even more fantastic. After several hundred, I think you've mastered the various techniques, and when you want to use which method. Huge improvement over the store bought - be well sir!

The trees look awesome, Bill. Since you build your modules to roughly the same size, have you considered having each module easily separated from the leg assembly so you always have a rolling leg assembly for any one of the removable layouts? You could then store each of the layouts without having to lift the module and leg assembly as one piece which would be heavier.
