Fantastic tree Bill, great way of doing things and one of the best tree tutorials I’ve seen. Hope the back is slowly on the mend, kind regards and cheers for now, John
Wow great job 👍 been looking at videos of building tree's this one came out the best... Thanks I'm going to try this soon as I'm ready again thanks great video, joe hope you feel better from the back sergerie..
Hope you are healing well. That old oak tree is awesome and has so much detail . I will have to get some of that rustic wire for myself and try a N-scale tree.
Wow Bill. That was a great triumvirate of tree making videos. This ancient oak turned out very well. In Southern California there is a city in a more rural area called Thousand Oaks. You drive through it to go up north. You captured those oaks wonderfully. Well done. Take care of yourself. See ya next time.
Bill one question, I'm from the Netherlands and like to try you method of tree making. You speak of rustic wire, to me it seems like solid wire with a covering, what I found in my part of the world is called as Rustic Grapevine Wire Natural, it seems like what you use, can't find if the base is wire. Guess the best thing is to order and try it out. Thanks for your clear tutorial on tree making. Cheers
Hi - yes that should be basically the same product. The material I used in the video was from the UK. I have since found the same product here. Have fun with your build 😃. One thing I’m doing differently these days is instead of super glue on the dowel I’m using carpenter wood glue. I set the wires around the core and use a twist tie or zip tie to hold everything in place. With super glue I was getting stuck more times than I liked. It o ly takes a couple of hours and then the tree can be worked more
That is perhaps the best looking oak I’ve seen being made….excellent video
Trees look awesome. Really great tutorial. Hope you get better everyday. Thanks for sharing. Dave
