The maccabian janissaries and the Mordian Iron Guard have records as respectable as the korps if memory serves me right with quantity being the two groups most limiting factor. They are the only troops besides the korps i would want holding the line for me.
planet's orbits are less stable then most people think. that actually can happen. oc it would not be like impact and the planet is immediatly knocked back. it is a process over time (years to millennia) after the impact. it is like to desturb a pendulum or a spinner. it does not need much of an impact to change the motion of subsequent cycles in an meaningful way.
planetary migration is not uncommon but is usually caused by the gravitational influence of other planets, a single impact by a comet or asteroid could not achieve that, but in warhammer 40k it's fine :D
It is often amazing to me that my favourite heroes of the emperium are those of the guard be it from the vast jungles of catachan to the gates of cadia.
Most lore channels: Milking every single regiment for an hour long video each, taking litteral years to complete the most popular regiments AB Prince: Just does them all in under a full hour Out standing work! As is often forgoten, the key to good script writing is keeping it short

Just a thought, but wouldn’t Catachans produce some of the absolute toughest, most resilient Space Marines, with perhaps the greatest survival instincts/skills? I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of Catachans being used as recruits for any Astartes Chapter🤔. Happy to be corrected on that!
No Catachan would consent to wearing power armour. They worked hard on those abs and the world must gaze upon them. .... though I will admit that the idea of space Marines wearing bandanas around their helmets does tickle me.

Imagine that near one E3 a teaser appears on your UA-cam homepage, first comes some big logos one second each, Activision, Sledgehammer games, Games Workshop... then it starts with an eary boom, a dark fog, with dampened weapon blasts and explosions echoing through it companies by distant war cries of men... then comes only two titles, sliding out of the fog, in bold fonts and sandpapered metalic texture, each staying just long enough for you to clearly notice them... with enough gap between the two to build up your anticipation... first comes in silver CALL OF DUTY... then it fades and in few seconds a new one appears in gold THE EMPEROR PROTECTS... how would you fell when that teaser is over? 🙃
I must say it's so fascinating hearing about some of the toughest to come out of mere men, I just hope Warmaster Horus doesn't catch me watching such material...
@Wazaag Break-head well as with any universe everything conflicts itself but I don’t remember where but an introduction to a lasgun said it had something around the force of a 50cal which will most certainly take a arm off
@Wazaag Break-head yes a 50 cal actually will rip your arm off it will do far more look up a 50 cal strike on UA-cam or the internet. A 50 cal bullet will easily take a arm off. Lasguns are contradicted as guardsmen have varying levels of success depending on whose perspective the book is written from and which author. Sometimes space marines shrug las fire off like nothing but when gaunts ghosts are shooting chaos marines fall relatively quickly. If the book is about guardsmen lasguns are generally effective if it is written about others lasguns are pea shooters.
