- In this video, Jamie Dyer discusses Rick Parfitt's posthumous debut solo album Over and Out, which was released in 2018.
Apologies for the sound, I was using a new setup. I have done my best to make it sound as good as it can.
Great review on an amazing album! I remember buying it straight away when it came out. But after Rick passed away, between 2017 and 2018, I struggled even watching live videos of Quo. So with this Album, too, I wanted to wait for the right time to listen to it and ended up listening to it for the first as late as after McVention 2021 when Aidan brought me to the airport. It has become one of favourite albums.
As Rossi sade...Rick had his good side and his beauty of songs as he allways hade inside him,but he want to be a rocker.
Is there any real difference in production between the two mixes? Is it really noticeable?
I'd say there is a difference, but it isn't major. I think its mainly the drums, with some string elements turned down in the mix. The last time I looked, the mix was available to hear on Spotify.
@@TheQuoCast Thanks. I'll have a listen.
There is difference but not enough and in the wrong way for my tastes. I personally, would've liked a more raw sounding version especially the guitar parts. But the other mix just sounds more bassy and drum heavy.
The auto tune on his voice wasn't needed .
