My first season supporting my beloved QPR, this is how I will always remember LR bathed in sunshine and that electric excitement, buzzing around the place, I would have been stood in the West Paddock... glare off the walls behind frying you on certain days, especially towards the end of this amazing season...
Acoustics at QPR have always been good. Great atmosphere when lotus road is packed. went several times in the 80s. Stood with my Everton supporting mate in the away end in 84, it was packed. Everton won the league that season.
these were the great days big Jack, and crafty cockney Terry, both gone from us now.

How good would it be to have managaers doing post match interviews together again!
thanks for this,i actually remember wher i was in dublin when i found out we were on the big match
I was there supporting the Owls. First time we had won in London in ages,
Makes me laugh Big Jack having a smoke. Different World.
The only game I can remember is the 5-5 Newcastle & I went to every game from 79 onwards. I must have been there in the west paddock.
He kept that cigarette hidden right till the end.
Was this when you QPR had that plastic pitch?
Forget that, just seen it was. Big advantage for qpr, that bounce
El Tel trying to be diplomatic.
Not much he could do with big jack 😉
Before the game died! Real football. Real interviews. Didn't like those plastic pitches tho!
