It’s a great format Dean - playing out the games followed by footage from the real game in what was a classic tournament. Looking forward to seeing it all play out although most of us know who the eventual winners were.
@@jonathanwoodard6147 thanks Jonathan, that’s the beauty of replaying it, I don’t know how it will unfold, the second round group stage might look a fair bit different to what happened in 74! Time will tell 👍
@@mikewood8136 thanks Mike, there were two group stages in 74, the second round was two groups of 4 then the top two of each group went through to the semifinals 👍
Thanks for watching the video. Scotland make their first appearance, how will they get on against newcomers Zaire! Video 3 of 38 I believe! Cheers Dean.
Great video and really enjoying this series! As for handicapping, I find restricting the underdog team to 2 flicks does a good job of limiting their game. Also how about having no defensive flick for them? Both methods would give big advantage. I'm sure 4 flicks helped Scotland, but Zaire could have easily won that one 😂
@@salagam Cheers 👍 yes two flicks would work as well, I could have done that but went the opposite way, lol. No defensive flicks would have been interesting, probably higher scoring game using that. And yes they had their chances!
Oh no! Zaire started off so well. It's a shame that their defensive skills were not as good as their attackers. For the first goal it seemed Zaire had commited all their resources into attack as there wasn't a defender in sight! Some decent goals from Scotland, they were just too much for the African team.😃 Really enjoy the tournament, keep 'em coming. Advantage idea - You could award a goal to any team playing Zaire or Haiti and if they equalise it goes back to 0-0 - seems abit biased though!
Was interested to see how the handicap system worked.
@@ianpatterson123 Hi Ian, I’m not sure it made a big difference, be interesting to see how it pans out over the games involving Zaire and Haiti!

Surely 32? 24 group games and 8 knockouts including 3/4th place. Great entertainment thanks.

Loved the 74 world cup, so this brings it all back. 😊 Just to be controversial, was one of those early Zaire chances not offside 🙄?
@@davidelton9217 yes David a great tournament 👍You know what I’ll have to look again at the Zaire offside, I’m normally quite hot on that 😊

@@soitra yes they had their chances, I can’t really say I noticed the handicap placed on Zaire but I might be wrong 😁
