Lord knows I wish we could go back to simpler times like back in the day.

God bless her for keeping her great grandfather's legacy alive and blessing the community with it! So glad it didn't get torn down!

Awesome! Thanks for saving that beautiful building and giving it a new life. Hope to stop in someday soon!

Wow! Thoroughly enjoyed this video. I love old country stores and I’m so glad you saved this one from being torn down. My Grandaddy had a country store similar to this one when I was growing up here in South Carolina! 👍🏻🙌🏻❤️
Homesteading Pastor; where in SC ? I am hoping to stop here on my way to SC to see my grandkids near Columbia Sc Just curious. Thanks
When I look at these rustic setting,I am in awe of the places, that look cozy and inviting,I am a 7th generation TENNESSEAN, but because of the skin game I doubt I would be comfortable in any of theses places. The black high school bear my greatfathers name and his chruch still stands in carthage,Tn. I move here after years to enjoy the home of my families,my mothers folks lived in portland Tn.the same land for 170 yrs. Hidden history.
You would be surprised. Little towns like this are usually based and don't care about how you look. Only if your a decent person.
@@Jim26D Hey jim I have traveled to those places. And I want to believe you. Thank you.
@paul turner@jim26d Im Black and im from a small Hick town in Tenn. and my father use to work in the Walking Horse industry and we use to go to horse shows around the state at night, during the day wed eat at those lil hole in the wall places and were the only 3 blacks in the place and they seemed like they were more hospitable than most and this was in the late 70s and 80s...and it aint changed one lick even today....people watch to much tv and dont get to know people face to face, and take a few incidents and generalize each other....
These vidios are wonderful - a joy to watch. Here in the UK, we don't have places like them. Our visits to the States have always been thoughly enjoyed. 🇬🇧
Great place! Nice story. Thanks!
OMG I watched you since the 90s with Chuck Hansen on the first year of hot rod TV which turned into a Horsepower TV the very next year. Long time fan 👍

Is it "family tradition" to use plastic and styrofoam? Neither is sustainable. Nice story, though. Thanks for saving the building.
