Anybody can sit at their computer and complain about a run-down neighborhood. Just going out and adding some curb appeal to these forgotten/abandoned/foreclosed properties can benefit everyone, maintain property values, etc. Don't cost much more than time and effort to help keep things tidy. Gentlemen like this deserve heaps of praise.
I couldn't agree more. Plus it keeps alot of the riff raff out. Drug attacks ect.. tend to go to homes that look abandoned. If the lawn is being maintained then then tend to stay away because they think someone us actually around. :)
You are indeed an inspiration. I started helping my 95 year old widow neighbor by doing her lawn and tending her little veggie garden. Her health is slipping and can't manage to get out to do any of it. BTW - I'm in my 70's. LOL
Lol.. then there's me 😒 my neighbor won't cut his grass. So I go out of my way to make my lawn look immaculate. 😌. My neighbor is in his 30s.. on top of that he has teenage sons.

I'm mentally ill and when I lived iñ a house I took care of my lawn. You shouldn't assume that you are so smart that you can label people and be right. I would look at that mess and be overwhelmed by it. The fact that you get stuck in and deal with it amazes me. You do the work at no expense to the owners or tenants, who cares, you do the work you deserve it. Please fill me on this! Even if a bungalow, let's call it a house, like these is abandoned, it still must have an owner. The title must have somebody's name written on it. How come the owner isn't warned by the local authority to keep their property in order, and if they don't bother, they get charged for the job? OK, I know there are lots of weird things going on in the US but I just can't imagine there are no official records of property ownership in place in 2021.
@@albertlugosi - It's not the dems or the repubs - it's just that some cities enforce their laws and some have a more lackadaisical attitude towards them. Some of these houses are owned by banks and they aren't known for being responsive to local governments.

Yep carry you a pocket knife. When I was coming along here in Appalachia the men always carried one. I asked my 85 year old dad one time if he had his knife ( I needed to cut open a bale of hay). He answered, "Do I have my pants on"? Thought you might enjoy that. You do good work.

I like the mindset. Rather than scowl and complain, get up off yer ass and do something about it. I am no longer a pro landscape maintenance company - but, just in my neighborhood and up doing 6 or so freebies each season. Did one 5 doors down 2 weeks ago that was approaching the 5' mark at the longest tips.
I.ms owning a home so bad i was doing good to covid. . Now cant breathe. To shop get gas in car go to wash house. Almost a invalid. So i watch this remembering it's me doing this. I smell grass and oil and smoke And run move rocks and limbs so u can keep going. I ms my old life .so juggernaut i just walk along besides u for hours every day. Your a good man. The man said he was doing it for FREE. If UA-cam pays him something later because we watch, well great! neighbors are not having to look at that mess of a yard. I guess I don’t understand, if I lived next door to this yard and I had a kids (note baby pool), I get up and mow it myself.
Kevin: Call a local animal rescue group and give them the addresses of where the kitties are. If they can they will trap them. That way may have a chance. You are a great man!
I was thinking the same thing, better to let animal control pick them up and find homes for the small ones, maybe spay the moma and release her back, help prevent more little unwanted animals to suffer when there are so many, this is something that people could easily fix if they would just get pets spayed or neutered, if you're not a breeder why not get them fixed, there are places that will do it for free if you can't afford it.
Appreciate all the good you do for people and properties that are forgotten and in need! I'd be scared to death not to wear gloves and sleeves. Just worried for your safety. Spider bites can seriously be a problem. You don't know what on earth you might be reaching into in all that tall weedy area. EDIT: poison ivy, too...

In Germany it is common to do that if you are a gardener with a flower shop. You make an ugly space within a city a bit more beautiful and are allowed to put your shop's sign next or onto it. 😊

I like the mindset. Rather than scowl and complain, get up off yer ass and do something about it. I am no longer a pro landscape maintenance company - but, just in my neighborhood and up doing 6 or so freebies each season. Did one 5 doors down 2 weeks ago that was approaching the 5' mark at the longest tips.
I.ms owning a home so bad i was doing good to covid. . Now cant breathe. To shop get gas in car go to wash house. Almost a invalid. So i watch this remembering it's me doing this. I smell grass and oil and smoke And run move rocks and limbs so u can keep going. I ms my old life .so juggernaut i just walk along besides u for hours every day. Your a good man. Kevin: Call a local animal rescue group and give them the addresses of where the kitties are. If they can they will trap them. That way may have a chance. You are a great man!
There are some great organizations that will collect abandoned animals.
I was thinking the same thing, better to let animal control pick them up and find homes for the small ones, maybe spay the moma and release her back, help prevent more little unwanted animals to suffer when there are so many, this is something that people could easily fix if they would just get pets spayed or neutered, if you're not a breeder why not get them fixed, there are places that will do it for free if you can't afford it.
Appreciate all the good you do for people and properties that are forgotten and in need! I'd be scared to death not to wear gloves and sleeves. Just worried for your safety. Spider bites can seriously be a problem. You don't know what on earth you might be reaching into in all that tall weedy area.
