Even better align it permanently at 2000 x the minimum hourly wage so someone on minimum wage doing 38 hours a week doesn't pay it at all. Then if income tax needs to go up do it honestly and openly by increasing the percentage.

Fraud by false representation is when an individual or business deliberately lies or misrepresents the truth when conducting a transaction in order to make a financial gain for themselves and/or cause a loss to another party.
It definitely fits the definition of fraud. Being knowingly deceitful for pecuniary gain.
There should be a National Insurance hike, but it should be used for what it was originally intended, to pay for the State Pension and the NHS and nothing else. For far too long successive governments have raided these funds to pay for other things, so no wonder they remain underfunded. It was a huge prison sentence when Robert Maxwell did this in the private sector!
It's like your road tax, doesn't pay for roads.
The issue is the NHS etc has enough investment money but it just gets fucking spaffed up the wall on middle management nonsense, putting more money in without restructure is just further waste

This is the problem that has haunted UK politics for decades! Divided parties! You have him who's centrist, him who's more right, her who is more left leaning, globalists, EU fans, EU opposers... Why can't a party set it's values in stone and tell MP's to only sign up for the party who's values they stand by, so we dont end up with years of infighting and squabbles with no results being achieved, and the public being failed yet again! This is why I trust Reform, they attract people with one view on immigration, one view on the economy, one view on all policies. It's a new party so you don't get people joining who want it to be more left leaning, they join because Reform speak to them.. We need unity, not more division from Labour and Tories! Not having a University education is not an obstacle to progress. What has become an obstacle for those who did not go on to higher education, is DEI. I basically agree but the last time this was done I was sent for work assessment by unqualifeid people twice although I have genetic muscular dystrophy & other serious health conditions, they should do work assessments in conjunction with GPs. It cost me money & great effort to attend but I had no choice. I did see healthy people hamming it up & sometimes forget. A GP can say how severe a problem is & the probable length of time of recovery (if any). Spot on on immigration but it should be retrospective, so people who played the system could still be sent back. It is absurd that Labour talks about economic defecit & pays millions a day on immigration, ignoring the needs of all British people (except themselves) - it is like having Putin rule by proxy. Jenrick is a better statesman with broad appeal.
