Stunning work from both composer and interpreter! This is another piece that I think I just may never listen to the acoustic performance again! I think I'll be listening to this over and over for a long time. Again, Mr. Mondo, you've brought out so many details with your ever-growing skill in finding the right balance(s). This piece is a juggernaut of musical power and impact. This was exciting! Thank you!
Well, thank you very much! I confess that this piece surprised me as well, as you say, there's a lot that gets buried, and once you start unpacking you are confronted with quite jarring dissonances. At points I had to check note by note because I thought it was impossible that one voice played a B flat and another played a B natural in the same octave. But they do :)
@@OrzoMondo I would attribute that to the overall impact to the "forward drive", so to speak, of the piece. There are instances in atonal music where, on paper, the notes never add up to anything like a major or minor triad, yet when listening it often doesn't really sound that atonal because of the rhythm and tempo, etc.. But in an atonal piece without any clear rhythm or tempo it then sounds truly atonal. Just sayin'.
@OrzoMondo Not to be obnoxious or anything, but there's also something called "linear counterpoint" which is when the individual lines make sense within themselves are not always in harmonic "agreement", the integrity of the individual lines carries the musical "sense". it can cover up harmonic clashes between the lines. It's a fascinating phenomenon and, of course, Bach knew all about it.
@@dennislovinfosse6293 It looks like this is the case - but then, there are a lot of other chromatic works where things that are not supposed to work do in fact work well :)
You are very welcome! You’re a very wonderful, wonderful man my friend. Your music talent/gift blesses so many people that need peace in their lives! You are very precious to the Lord Jesus Christ my anointed friend! You’re so blessed with such a wonderful ability to perform such magnificent masterpieces from an already anointed composer! You even favor Bach in the face! What a blessing! God loves you, spirit, soul, and body my precious friend! God richly bless you brother!!!👍☝️🙏🤝
Meraviglioso.
Brother, you did it again! Awesome, sensational masterpiece my friend! God richly bless you my awesome, distinguished, handsome friend! You’re a fine, fine musician. God loves you so much!!!! Isaiah 54:17
This is some great inspiration!!! I can hardly wait to arrange something like this for my new vintage Ensoniq VFX SD synthesizer. After I finish repairing it of course! 😅
Again, this a composition I must have heard before, but only thanks to your rendition I took notice and love it. I downloaded it and will record it on one of my personal CDs in my everyday life. Btw: I wonder if there are already three-dimensional structures like the ones you use to illustrate your music?
Excellent, as usual, but the repeated notes at 2:48 are way, way, too loud in relation to the other voices. They have to be a bit 'sotto voce' at that point, even if Bach did specify unison for the first and second violins on those repeated notes. The inner parts are too inaudible in relation to those repeated notes, which stick out like a sore thumb.
This is what I need, some true feedback! Thank you very much for your input, it's bound to happen that I misread the score. I am using scores that have no indication of dynamics, on purpose, I don't want to be influenced, but this piece in particular I was not that familiar with. Like all, I do know by heart very played pieces, the violin concertos etc., but this was new for me. I took your advice, listened to some other interpretations, and I ended up modifying the dynamics of that particular segment (which seems to me was the only one that needed major changes). I cannot change the video, but I have published a new version of the audio, this one in Hi-res, 24bit and 48KHz, that I hope you'll find of your liking. It will be released on Spotify and other platforms on Oct 2, if you want to listen to it, here's the link, but unfortunately you'll have to wait to the official release for the links to appear: music.imusician.pro/a/sDbHAl28/ Thank you again!

Thanks for uploading this nice piece, OrzoMondo. A very _busy_ score, expertly rendered using some sonorously warm patches. Thanks again.
It is indeed exceedingly busy - at points it is almost cacophonic, which was a bit of a surprise from Bach.
OrzoMondo you take this music to another marvelous dimension, what an extraordinary exultation of the perfection Maestre
Thank you so much!!
What a masterpiece!! I'm sorry but for me traditional performances can't compete with these inexorably exciting lines. An absolute gem.
Thank you! You do really get a full contrapunctal picture this way.

Thank you Andreas! As for the 3D structures, search for MIDITrail, it's free to use :)

Thank you!
Your arrangement is similar to Carlos's, but even better
Feel the honest intention
Wendy Carlos made an arrangement of this chorus? I need to look for this, I've never heard it so far
@@Moguntinus
I don't think he arranged this song.
I used Carlos' name as a comparison to compliment this arrangement.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
@@tenkon1 Oh I see. But I feel the same, Orzo Mondo's arrangement couldn't be better!
Thank you so much!
