Thanks for the deck profile, I just won my first local tournament with this list! I'm too poor to afford the Dex and BWG, so I replaced them with 3x Gaiomon and 1x DG Dimension. But it worked out great with your advice anyway, my game winning play against Mastemon in the final round was Gaio Blitz for two security into end-of-turn DNA into Ragna trashing one security and blitzing for game! Hey man, just wanted to say that your profile helped me win a match with Ragna in my sealed only series. I got inspired by your profile and just had to play the big dude.
This sure was a very interesting deck profile and I do agree the three BlackWarGreymons sound much better to play. As you said not only are they good but its also due to them being dual colored. I was thinking about that myself and also if there where other dual colored red and black lvl 6 digimon as budget option.
I was thinking the same as BlackWarGreymon has spiked even higher as of late (I certainly regret not picking them up on release for cheap). But you're only options now are it (which is good for Tamer removal), Gaio (which is a more costly evo, but can push harder with it's natural +1 security and potential dedigivolve and/or blitz), or UltimateBrachiomon (it's a vanilla that evos for 3) In my hunt though, I also found a dumb option that may worth considering though. CresGaruru, its only black, but evos over both red and black and keeps the gotcha going adding level 5 or less bodies on field by checking the top x (where x is the number of mons your opponent has in play) of your deck
I opted to run a small x-antibody package in mine since I don’t have all of the bt3 stuff yet and only 1 BlackWarGrey. I have 1 Ryudamon, 2 of the level 4 from that line, 2 Hisyaryumon, and 1 ultimatebrachiomon

First, that intro alone earned a sub. Second, I think the only saving grace of Spadamon in this deck is if you have it and another rookie and are going first. It allows you to memory choke your opponent first turn then push out early if you want to get the rookie effects, since you'll have another legend-arms digimon on the field. Third, while I love the idea of BWG and was considering it myself, I was also thinking Giaomon for similar reasons of color issues, but also being more aggressive. That are your thoughts? Oh, and I love the concept of the deck. No tamers, no options, because why play those when I can be playing digimon?
I'm glad you enjoyed the video~ I've thought about gaio before but I wanted to respect xros heart more and wasn't a fan of 5 cost at the time But now it's probably worth considering especially against decks that recover alot! You may just end games quicker I'd try 2 gaio cutting a duranda and a BWG to see how it goes~

There definitely is some room for improvement for the bt11 meta, although I haven't looked into it much yet (Been busy preparing a new deck to showcase!)

Running ragna as my first Digimon deck and love your explainations of everything! If I wanted to stay budget what would be good options in place of blackwargreymon?
It's unfortunate that there isn't a direct replacement for him but you could always try and run Gaiomon or even ultimate brachiomon would fit BWGs role the closest (being red and black and can evolve on either lvl5) To a lesser extent Cresgarurumon is a solid choice also! Just keep in mind it may clog your hand with too many black lvl6s And if you're looking for more explosivity there's always baihu, but he can brick even harder than cresgaruru imo

Yeah its unfortunate that BWG is quite expensive now as he's quite important in general As I've mentioned deathX could likely be changed into a Kongou if I had to make a 1 for 1 alternative, elsewise I wouldn't really want to use options still The problem with memory boosts is that it has a very real chance of screwing you over ex: black mem boost when you need lvl4 and you bottom deck 3 zubaeagermons could very well lose you the game right there same reason Same could be said about pride memory boost In terms of more budget option for BWG, imo it'd have to be Gaio or even Brachio. As mentioned I prefer not to rely on Baihu as it can only evolve on top of black level 6's and in general as a level 6 I'd only want to see it at the end of the game rather any point in the game Baihu can also add to your likelihood of bricking with too many lvl 6 of the same color which is why I say BWG or at least cards like him (dual color) are pretty fundamental But again it all comes down to personal preference so don't let my opinions prevent you from trying for yourself~

The way I built this deck I'd personally say is very straight forward and quite beginner friendly. But like alot of digimon tcg decks they can be quite easy to learn, but learning to play matchups make the difference. I'd say Gallantmon is also straight forward also! Only that it's a bit more fragile, lower power ceiling and can be expensive to build optimally. So Personally I'd say mine is more beginner friendly (just don't get deathxmons lol)
This is honestly the most creative ragna profile I've seen and I'm intrigued with the gameplan. Question, out of curiosity: did you ever ponder playing the og ragna here (what with the free evo if u stuck a random duranda or brywe underneath)?
I had thought about it before and could be solid if you were being very unlucky for a solid midgame option, but my main focus at the time was to go into the new one~ Could definitely be worth trying out for sure!

Well the search effect was never bad but the problem here is that it's an inheritable. An inheritable that only triggers when attacking, the only time you really want to be attacking with your stack is with durandamon and in that case you'd be stuck with the dilemma of do I want to gamble my top 3 with duranda or top 3 to search and if you chose to search and end up seeing lvl5s you are far less likely to get a lvl 5 for free

i had a test run against blue flare, and realized that i had game by paying 11 to hard play durandamon to end of turn jogress trash 2 sec and blitz for game
Am I missing anything? The deck performs incredibly well until I get hit by Chaos Degradation, Gaia Force, Mega Death, etc. I can't ever seem to bounce back. This is being hard cast, not in security ofc, as Ragna gets protection from Options in Security
If you're up against a more option heavy deck there are absolutely ways to switch up the playstyle of the deck, in that case instead of trying to go into Ragna ASAP you then try and swarm as many bodies on the field as possible (preferably lvl5s) But mainly you are meant to go into Ragna as a game closer or put yourself in a position where its essentially checkmate Hope that helps!
I mentioned in a previous comment, but brachiomon or gaiomon are the closest you'd get to card for card replacement. To a lesser extent cresgarurumon and/or baihumon. But keep in mind you may brick more in having too many black level 6s and not enough red
Haven't played enough games against them to form an opinion on that just yet. If it's a heavy recovery variant it could be quite annoying, but I think then the playstyle would change so that you would swing earlier to make sure they don't run away with recovery effects and hold off on ragna till the very end while abusing free call effects from the legend arms. Will it work? Idk XD but no shame in trying as linear as the deck looks there's multiple ways to play it~
Oh for sure, it's something to keep in mind however on average people would still rather search anyways cause if they spend every turn trying to choke you they aren't actually progressing on their gameplan You only need 1 turn of having decent memory then Sakutomon will handle the rest~ Especially with how tamer heavy the best decks of this meta are you are bound to have decent memory in the early stages of the game!
Nice list i like RagnaLoard and glad you made it work, interesting the legends arms alliance option card has been cut completely how come you decided to cut it all together and your overall thoughts on the option card?
I mentioned it in the video I wanted a lvl 6 that can evo on top of any of my level 5s that also doesn't constitute to bricking with too many lvl 6s of the same color. Hence BWG fit that slot nicely and Baihu felt like a card I never wanted to see until the end of the game unlike the other Lvl 6s in my list which I'm ok with seeing at any point in the game~
I bricked first 2 games in a row against the Grandis (second game I was still able to win because they couldn't out the hard played lvl5 brought out turn 1) And a little at the start against Xros heart of game 1 in round 3 and game 2 round 4 respectively yet still won them anyways~ Durandamon whiffed in calling a digimon once the entire tournament (which is impressive considering the list) XD Overall I'd say average luck!

BryweLudramon's inheritable doesn't protect Ragnaloardmon from DeathX's end of turn trigger, though it does prevent the on play/digivolve trigger.

Haven't played enough games against them to form an opinion on that just yet.
If it's a heavy recovery variant it could be quite annoying, but I think then the playstyle would change so that you would swing earlier to make sure they don't run away with recovery effects and hold off on ragna till the very end while abusing free call effects from the legend arms.
Will it work? Idk XD but no shame in trying as linear as the deck looks there's multiple ways to play it~

Oh for sure, it's something to keep in mind however on average people would still rather search anyways cause if they spend every turn trying to choke you they aren't actually progressing on their gameplan
You only need 1 turn of having decent memory then Sakutomon will handle the rest~
Especially with how tamer heavy the best decks of this meta are you are bound to have decent memory in the early stages of the game!

Surprised you focused so much on level 5 black but didn't play Baihumon? Is it too meme?
I mentioned it in the video I wanted a lvl 6 that can evo on top of any of my level 5s that also doesn't constitute to bricking with too many lvl 6s of the same color.
Hence BWG fit that slot nicely and Baihu felt like a card I never wanted to see until the end of the game unlike the other Lvl 6s in my list which I'm ok with seeing at any point in the game~

I played Bwg because i notice the same thing as you.
Now be honest, how lucky did you get during the tournamemt?
I bricked first 2 games in a row against the Grandis (second game I was still able to win because they couldn't out the hard played lvl5 brought out turn 1)
And a little at the start against Xros heart of game 1 in round 3 and game 2 round 4 respectively yet still won them anyways~
Durandamon whiffed in calling a digimon once the entire tournament (which is impressive considering the list) XD
Overall I'd say average luck!
