I can't imagine that she couldn't have devised a series of questions which would have elicited a less damning portrayal of his experience of the series of events. The events themselves are already damning: the only wiggle room he has lies in the nuances of the circumstances, his perception of them, and resulting state if mind.

I think she was muttering because he beat the crap out of her or hurt her prior to the "walk" and when he came back from the "walk" (which was probably him leaving in a panic because he knew he hurt her) and she was genuinely muttering when he came back. And I think he was perplexed that she was still alive when he came back, which might be why he didn't care or didn't have the capacity to care why she was muttering or what she was muttering. I think that memory and confusion might have been so profound in the moment that the exact same feeling pops back up for him while he's on the stand. He's remembering what she looked/sounded like, and he's feeling that panicked confusion with her still being alive upon his return. I think that's when he killed her. He can't remember the script while replaying what he did in his mind. He's not capable of ignoring his memory and speaking at the same time.

I would LOVE for yall to do Melody Farris. Greg, I live in north GA and this case happened in Cherokee county. “Burn pile”..murdered husband. But I want yall to cover her addressing the court at her sentencing hearing, where she still is sticking to the story that her son Scott killed husband/father. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Love what you guys do- P1 here!

Chase, I think the details around the Yankee candle has to do with the heft and size of the glass container. They are heavy. I am a candle enthusiast, but alas, not a candelist either😂. I took it to be an attempt by the attorney to describe her “weapon” and give him some credibility as to why he could perceive a threat.

Okay, I have to share a story about my parents. One night, they had a huge fight. Mama decided she wanted to leave right then and there, but thought that Daddy should be a gentleman and call the cab for her. Daddy thought that if she wanted to leave, she could call her own cab. Neither of them would budge, and went to bed still arguing. The next morning, they made up and were happily married for more than 40 years until Daddy’s death. So, yeah, the argument over the Uber doesn’t sound so odd to me. 😂

It’s almost ALWAYS AGAINST the attorney’s advice! It’s this type of narcissistic client that insists being put on the stand cuz they’re so sure they can convince people. So then the attorney has to try to prep them but how do you prep someone with an absolute FLAT AFFECT - no emotion whatsoever??? It’s an uphill battle no attorney can really win.

Scott mentioned that he didn't think the man cared. I agree. Normally suspects distance themselves from mentioning the victims name. Mentioning their name is usually a sign of care. However, the suspect has no issue mentioning his wife's name several times and I think this is because he doesn't care enough for it to hurt him.

Often we feel or believe that we should be rewarded for our efforts or if we work hard we are entitled to some kind of success. This video is perhaps a great example to demonstrate that effort does not directly translate to results. Ive never seen someone try so so so so..... so so so ... hard to feel something and is just not winning at all. And in fact shows commitment ,while failing, to preserver and keep trying so hard. He fought a hard long war there trying to feel something...
