I asked a few years ago to analyze the Bib's. Great new documentary that just came out called 'The Bibi Files'. I guess I was correct, you're teaching must have made me better at analyzing.
A+ to you, Mark!!! Love all the guys but Mark you seem the only one who understands why the impact of Mr. Beast is one that deservedly receives scrutiny and will continue to do so… The guys seem to respect his business acumen a BIT too much and you seem to get the bigger picture where this dude is concerned…
Mark I agree 100% with everything you said. You seem to clearly grasp the magnitude of the situation. What I get from Mr. Beast is that he really likes himself and thinks he's wonderful. Chase is on board with that assessment apparently. But what struck me most is why he (Chase) had such a bad reaction to the idea of transparency in companies. He tried to make it sound ridiculous or like a waste of time rather than the way to make sure companies aren't breaking the law or mistreating employees. So yeah there's "this new focus on transparency" because companies have operated behind closed doors for far too long. Transparency is imperative in large companies because they impact a lot of both employees and customers. The only people who detest transparency are the ones with something to hide as we've seen a lot of on this channel.
I really appreciate Marks comments on 'no doesn't mean no'. It is completely necessary to acknowledge the cultural implications of the phrase, especially given his child audience. 👏 No doubt Mr Beast meant it in a difference context, but he still should recognise and own up to its poor taste.
Hello Greg. Thank you for providing this incredible content. I have learned so much. I have been to see things differently and using critical thinking in my life. Stopping, listening and watching is a hard skill to learn but so helpful
I disagree with Greg. He hasn't not been 'forced' to be a CEO. He choose too. I am also fascinated with the difference of the , I haven't figured out what it is I am seeing but it's maybe the military mind set. It might be the American male mind set, IDK but Mark is on a completely different page of accountability or standards than the rest of TBP. Fascinating.

Mark was the panelist I agreed with most today. This man targets our children and he is not nieve to the impact of his tactics. I do not trust him which is very sad because my children think very highly of him.
Wow Mark has hit the nail on the head which the rest of the panel missed. Mark has a deeper level of observation in this episode that Chase, Greg and Scott missed. This "guy" may be nieve yet he is the business owner and responsible. Mark is focusing on the most important aspect, Children. Thank you Mark for drawing attention to the subtle dismissal of responsibility this "Mr Beast" is avoiding.
It's very interesting that Mr. Beast assumes a naive demeanor, because before his channel really took off, he seemed like a totally different (cynical, caustic, even at times) person when he did interviews. Like he has become more like the person he used to pretend to be in his child-audience videos. His entire life is his channel, so he just never "turns off" all the way.
@@gc7725 He plasters on that fake smile and acts like he's as pure as a newborn babe. It's so obviously an act because anyone who watched Jimmy's early vids saw how mean and cold he could be to ppl who were supposed to be his friends.
The thing is that this isn't new anymore, so Jimmy is very well prepared to respond in this carefully orchestrated "interview". He is not the big CEO's that Greg is used to working with, but he's been doing this for 5-10 years, and his mindset has always been to avoid addressing problems. His default attitude is to avoid/hide problems raised, not fix, now more than ever. It's even more important when it's how he's "starting"... and as Mark says, it should be the opposite: the scrutiny should be big, maybe bigger than almost anyone else, proportional to his influence and power. But his attitude is the opposite, since the more he's questioned, the more he avoids and deflects... and that's very concerning since it's his pattern since he started, and has never been different, definitely not better. One clip in and my knee jerk first impression is “the guy’s a toddler.” He talks about how big his company is, his lack of understanding of how to be a CEO, inability of any large company to manage or prevent all harms and issues. He’s waving his hands around in the manner of a 2 year old running in all directions, high on sugar, smearing gooey crap on everything he comes in contact with. “I’m just a babyyyyy.” Now on clip 3. Dude’s just a beleaguered, saint! Bless him and all of his good deeds and naïveté of approach. Mark, i think you ought to pack your carpet bag and brolly and pay Beastie a visit. You’re sooo needed there!
The vibe I get is that this guy does not give a crap about anyone---does what he wants and that's all. I also don't like "my company, my company, my company"---I get a narcissism vibe
I caught one of his early videos titled something like "I filled my neighbours yard with 10 million plastic beads". Yes...yes of course you did and he had no idea and you weren't held accountable and he forgave you and all was well and you all had a good laugh about it. Doesn't sound at all contrived does it...also sure that's just environmentally irresponsible, it's like something they'd be watching in Idiocracy. Also I hate his face.
Anyone notice how he responds to every “what did you think” or “how did you feel” question received an immediate response in list form of all the things he did to make the problems go away? Zero emotional reaction except for his stress around being asked the question. Missed opportunity for Scott to flag a narcissist. There wasn’t a single instance of Jimmy signalling empathy with or sense of responsibility for his staff’s well-being.
When asked “How did you FEEL when you heard there was harassment going on in your company?,” he did not answer the question. He showed zero emotional concern or dismay, and instead just talked about what he did. I wish this would have been analyzed a bit.
When asked how feels about misconduct at his company, MrBeast doesn’t actually answer that question. Instead he explains what he’s done about it. But that’s not the question.
Mark is spot on. Also, IMHO, the interviewer is giving him questions that he knew ahead of time and the interviewer is still nervous asking him the questions. And, that knee up shows defensiveness. This guy is giving rehearsed answers. Personally, I don't trust him.
Didn't like the smirk on his face when questioned about the No doesn't mean No. He must know what he was playing with. There are so many other ways he could have written that memo to express the same thing. He chose wrong and instead of looking ashamed, or doubling down on the importance of the important message of No means NO, he smirks and tries to justify it. Not a good look.
People who are honestly apologetic and sorry aren't so bouncy and excitable. They are humbled calm and reflective, having spent time reflecting and trying to see their actions from a different point of view. When you do something wrong and you did not realize that it was wrong while you were doing it, you actually have to spend time trying to figure out how it was wrong and why people think you should be sorry. This is how you grow. Who is he trying to convince
My head literally hurts from this guys voice. Not the easiest interview to listen to. Its almost as if I need to hear an hour of Scotts voice to repair the damage.
He started out as a driven 11 year old who knew what he wanted to do- create videos- and he’s still doing it today. He seems very focused on his projects and learns & troubleshoots along the way. Pretty impressive guy! Can’t wait for you all to get to 1 Million!!
His audience seems to be kids and teenagers. There are a ton of these channels aimed at kids that I've never heard of (because I'm not in that age group), and then I look them up and they've got MILLIONS of subscribers. Seems like a few channels aimed at that demographic get up to shenanigans, which is helpful for them because kids don't know any better and/or don't care and forgive them immediately.
This guy takes a long time to explain No means No • vs •Don’t Take No for an Answer Dude get with it, like Mark said, it’s just not cool anymore to say that
Mark's so right ❤ no means no , everyone knows what that means , he was just being provocative with a phrase thats so so serious and important, thank you Mark , well said.❤
Mr. Beast has a huge tell, I don't know if you guys caught it. Whenever he lies, his lips are moving. When he's not lying, his mouth is closed. It's very subtle, but with careful inspection you should be able to see it.
This guy is a fraud. He's following the same model that lots of young people are following which is Fake It Til' You Make It. People like him pretend that their intelligent, hard working and successful. They put on a very good performance which makes others think that they know what their talking about. But if you were to actually listen to what he's saying you'd realize that he's not really saying anything meaningful. He's not actually answering the questions. It's literally all performance and no substance. Don't be fooled people!
Same. I don’t necessarily think he’s lying about anything specific and I know this isn’t fair but I just don’t like him. I don’t like his face. I don’t trust him and I can’t really tell you why. Just something about him I guess.
As a seasoned HR pro, I’m here to give this advice to all the entrepreneurs. Get help from an experienced consultant or an in-house HR person. You don’t need to go over the top or woke, just run stuff by someone who can point out all your weak spots. They can save you from yourself. Spend the money before you lose money and/or your reputation.
The issue with him isn't any of this, per se. Yes, he's probably telling the truth about all of this. The issue is that he didn't care. I feel like he would do anything to get to the top, even if that means ignoring all the responsibilities that come with owning a company. When someone works for you, they are giving you the most valuable thing in the world: their time. And for him to remain oblivious to all of it is pretty messed up. It doesn't matter as long as he reaches the top, right?
well it allows him to make money so he can do more things. his job is making videos. he does more than you to help people so why do you care how? just be happy people are getting help no ?
I'm glad you're covering this. People on the group mainly jump to the "bad guy" conclusion that the media try to spin, I've not been able to have a rational conversation about him or his company with a lot of them. It's good to call out the corrupt media.
‘How did you feel about the harrassments?’ But he doesn’t say anything about his feelings. He also didn’t address the sensitive topic ‘no doesn’t always mean no’
@@theVanishingGladiator Reminds me of a guy in the closet who allowed inappropriate things to happen to minors whom he has groomed to trust him and are willing to do almost anything for to gain a big payoff.

Doesn't sound at all contrived does it...also sure that's just environmentally irresponsible, it's like something they'd be watching in Idiocracy. Also I hate his face.
Ist time seeing him.. have no idea who he is..He comes off very sketchy.
Thank you Mark!
It's giving ' mistakes were made'
this
Great analysis Mark.
When asked “How did you FEEL when you heard there was harassment going on in your company?,” he did not answer the question. He showed zero emotional concern or dismay, and instead just talked about what he did. I wish this would have been analyzed a bit.
Jimmy Seville was not on my bingo card for this video 😂
But a very good point. Bad people often camouflage themselves in false virtue.
"I'll look after your kid"! Best line ever, Mark
THANK YOU MARK BOWDEN @ 24 min!
How can you be accountable if you can't or or unwilling to be a part of knowing the truth
When asked how feels about misconduct at his company, MrBeast doesn’t actually answer that question. Instead he explains what he’s done about it. But that’s not the question.
24:57 thank you Mark ♥️
Mark's analysis showed a true understanding of the issues and suffrage that women are facing
Mark I truly appreciate your take on this entire situation! Thank you for adding the things that needed to be considered.
This Beast guy has always given me the creeps. It's something about his smile that makes me unable to trust anything about him.
Mr beast gives me Sam Bankman-Fried and Elizabeth Holmes type vibes. It took me less than 10 minutes to catch on to all these fraudsters.
Mark, well done on this.
SCOTT, GREG, CHASE -- I disagree with your assessment. My girl gut has a bad feeling about this Mr. Beast.
Yaaass Mark! It seems that you were the only one who sees.
Mr beast: sorry not sorry!
I believe he's honest about not thinking he's done anything wrong..but that doesn't mean he hasn't.
Y'all ever noticed people who don't tolerate lies, disrespect or deceit are always labeled difficult, crazy or bitter?
people who have boundaries are so mean @@Sass-d4d
My head literally hurts from this guys voice. Not the easiest interview to listen to. Its almost as if I need to hear an hour of Scotts voice to repair the damage.
He started out as a driven 11 year old who knew what he wanted to do- create videos- and he’s still doing it today.
He seems very focused on his projects and learns & troubleshoots along the way.
Pretty impressive guy!
Can’t wait for you all to get to 1 Million!!
I'm convinced that Jimmy is a sociopath.
Psychopath .
It's too bad that elocution is no longer taught in schools. I remember having to recite poetry and read out reports in class.
Like, like, like, yeah.
Like, like, like, yeah.
I never heard of Mr. Beast.
Me either.
His audience seems to be kids and teenagers. There are a ton of these channels aimed at kids that I've never heard of (because I'm not in that age group), and then I look them up and they've got MILLIONS of subscribers. Seems like a few channels aimed at that demographic get up to shenanigans, which is helpful for them because kids don't know any better and/or don't care and forgive them immediately.
i never heard of him. I stopped after 3 minutes in. I'll go back under my rock now.
This guy takes a long time to explain No means No • vs •Don’t Take No for an Answer
Dude get with it, like Mark said, it’s just not cool anymore to say that
Mark's so right ❤ no means no , everyone knows what that means , he was just being provocative with a phrase thats so so serious and important, thank you Mark , well said.❤
Mark is the only one who can see outside of the "persona" imo.
He's always given me the creeps. Something is not right with the guy.
He looks wrong, he sounds wrong, he feels wrong. Cluster or no cluster, he gives my intuition the icks!
Same. I don’t necessarily think he’s lying about anything specific and I know this isn’t fair but I just don’t like him. I don’t like his face. I don’t trust him and I can’t really tell you why. Just something about him I guess.
Can't believe you don't have 1 million subs yet guys! Totally deserved.
Dude's called "Mr BEAST" and his target audience is children.. enough said?
He was 12 when he started his gaming channel. He was a kid, too.
You'll never know a true philanthropist, they donate secretly, NOT film it for video likes to generate money.
well it allows him to make money so he can do more things. his job is making videos. he does more than you to help people so why do you care how? just be happy people are getting help no ?
I'm glad you're covering this. People on the group mainly jump to the "bad guy" conclusion that the media try to spin, I've not been able to have a rational conversation about him or his company with a lot of them. It's good to call out the corrupt media.
I think Mark is right on this one
Kind of surprised how naive the team here is except for MARK - he is 100% - this guy is shmoozing the others!
My feeling is he's playing at being naive now that he's under suspicion.
‘How did you feel about the harrassments?’ But he doesn’t say anything about his feelings. He also didn’t address the sensitive topic ‘no doesn’t always mean no’
23:40 Thank you for this Mark!
Not a fan of Mr. Beasty Boy ... something off about him, but I do appreciate the analysis you guys did.
He comes across as a con artist. He goes on and on and says very little.
Reminds me.. politician(?)
@@theVanishingGladiator Reminds me of a guy in the closet who allowed inappropriate things to happen to minors whom he has groomed to trust him and are willing to do almost anything for to gain a big payoff.
So this is what I get from yall up until now 51:48 people like him can have fairly “honest” body language and still be shady as hell. (Looking good, Scott!)
