I’ve been using Covergirl since I was 13. I tried high end makeup products in my early 20s and soon realized it was a waste of money. Love Covergirl!!
I’ve never had much luck with Covergirl. I had better luck with Maybelline. I haven’t tried Covergirl in Ofer a decade now and drugstore makeup has really upped its game so I should try CG again. :)
BellyJae I love Maybelline too! It was always Covergirl and Maybelline because I thought L’Oréal and Revlon were too expensive 😂 Drugstore products have definitely come a long way.
Even on sponsored videos I have no question that Zabrena is trustworthy, and THAT is the mark of a dang good beauty influencer! Keep being amazing!
I'm surprised (in a good way) that a foundation aimed at more mature skin types held up so well on oily skin! May have to check it out!
That's exactly what I'm trying out. I have dry skin, though. It's so hard to find something that doesn't make my face look like it has dandruff!

I'm curious about the pH of the foundation products you used. Vitamin C is basically ineffective after a certain pH level, so I'm wondering if they threw it in there for the skincare marketing value without paying attention to what it needs to really be effective and do what it should.

Covergirl eyeshadows are soo underrated- I love both the Chocoholic and Peach palette! I thought Peach palette was also a great dupe for the UD Reloaded palette 👌🏻

Damaris Rodriguez the Clump Crusher use to be transfer resistant, but the new batches seem to transfer a bit. The best transfer resistant mascara I’ve tried is the Colormax Cosmetics one

I have always loved Cover Girl
Just after you applied the foundations and concealer, the video seemed to show patches and brush strokes. Then before you applied the setting powder, it had disappeared. Was a filter applied. I normally love watching your videos but this is the first one I have really noticed this problem.
Hmm, I don’t use filters. I wouldn’t even know how to do that, technically.

I have recently read about filters being used on beauty videos and the quality of this video on my iPad was not your usual amazing flawless face. No worries, Jen, I appreciate your feedback and that you were kind in delivering it :) I've been asked about filters before and I honestly don't know if that's a lens that is added to the camera or something done in post, but either way I wouldn't want to use them for my videos because I feel like that's not showing you the full product performance. What you may be seeing actually is my "can't sit still" butt that had to get up and do something in the middle of filming and maybe the foundation settled and looked different? I'm not sure, but that's the only thing I can think. Anyway, appreciate you!
Yeah I think it is actually a lense that youtubers can put on their camera that blurs the face. Thatayla, another beauty youtuber, had used one quite a few years ago only because she didn’t have her regular one and she didn’t like it because she, like Zabrena, likes to show the true performance of the makeup she is reviewing.
So excited that Covergirl is cruelty free now! That concealer looks like it might be a dupe for Maybelline Instant age rewind!

I really like the review of this- you won my heart with your Outlast 3 in 1 and turned me on to Covergirl. I had used this kind of product years ago (perhaps 7 or so?) and it was really greasy on me. Now that I've seen this on you, I feel more confident in trying it again. Congrats on the sponsorship- it is well deserved and you're a great brand ambassador. You sure changed my thinking that "high end is the only good makeup" and challenged me to give Covergirl foundation a try. I'm glad I did!
