I like the implication that Omega, trying to gather as powerful beings as possible to test its might, looked at the Phantom Train and was like "Yeah, that looks stronk"
This dude really looked at FF6’s entire boss roster and went “Yeah uh I’ll have the fucking uhhhhhhhhhh ghost train and painting demon k thx.”

@@RobdeliaYT I mean he did through Dalamund of all people at us in the quest before unlocking v1. And to be fair of the powerful beings in 6 there isn't a large option that aren't already ingame somewhere or barely more than generic enemies.
@@KyhronLuna Okay but that still leaves options like the legendary dragons, Hidon, Flame Eater, Wrexsoul, Curry Larry and Moe, or even some dumb shit like the cranes.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the bosses in Sigmascape and think it’s got some great, unorthodox picks from VI. It’s just that those picks in the context of Omega hosting a Final Fantasy villain tournament are very funny.
@@RobdeliaYT There's also Siegfried, Zone Eater, any number of Espers that don't appear as Primals, Gilgamesh (again), a handful of Magitek bosses, Kaiser Dragon, uhhhhh... man 6 actually had a lot of bosses lol

The Sigmascape as a whole was just a love letter to FFVI and a well-done one at that.

The first few notes of this theme has always been among the best ever written. Nothing quite says "you are in deep trouble now" like the first 5-6 seconds of this theme.

This rendition was pretty awesome....especially the part where it passes off from synthetic instruments to real string instruments such as the piano and violin. That was a nice touch.

Maybe when Omega gets the same treatment as Alexander did.
They should make the duty have a quick time action event, where it attempts to charge at the cart so strongly one member has to intervene and stop it from doing so, followed by a quick 'suplex' where they throw the train up in the air for a brief time before it lands back on the track.
And the only job that can do the suplexing be the MNK. Because its thematic.

If you dont have a MNK a tank does it, but instead of suplexing it, it just stops the train
The starting cinematic is actually kinda cool:-
- the music builds up as the boss appears
- the chocobo appears and jumps in sync with the music summoning the heroes.
- (this particular set) party does a pretty kickass pose
- the camera pans to the boss again as the intro ends and the battle begins.

@@jetsettech8804 as a musician, his interpretation of harmonies from a 16 bit game and the layering is actually phenomenal. it is almost certain that this took the longest for him to remix and it paid off.

Just did the raids 1.0 to 4.0 (not Savage) and ALL THESE BATTLES ARE SO DAMN GOOD! Like they definitely took a huge step up from Deltascape. I can only imagine what the Savage encounters will be like.

I got to see this beautiful raid series last night. Man, the amount of hype and tears that were shed between this and all of Sigmascape... my only regret through the series as a whole is not fighting Garland (but I guess Chaos counts)

Right as the fight is ending, everyone should get a duty action button pop-up to suplex the train, first person to click it gets to do the honors in a glorious cut-scene. That would be incredible. I'm new to FF14 so I've never done this fight but I'll definitely have to do it. FF6 is my favorite in the franchise. Love all of FF14's remixs of the various FF6 battle themes.
It was a terrible night, things overall were not going well and tensions were high. But, we wanted to try one last boss.
And since we both knew some final fantasy gags, earlier on we’d been joking about if ghost train appeared as a boss.
Lo and behold. What appears on our final boss? BUT GHOST TRAAAAAAIN?!?!?!?
I’m still upset you don’t get to suplex it but I also kinda understand that’d be a lot of animation time. But at the same time….
Suplexing the ghost train is an absolutely legendary meme in final fantasy.

Why is this so LOOPABLE?! I had it on loop while I was modding yesterday for like 8 hours, and loaded it up again today and it hasn't gotten boring yet. Why is this song somehow indefinitely tolerable?
It's clever because all turns of Sigmascape use this music, so it needs to be loopable/not irritating.

guys we might not have gotten the suplex, but at least seigfried is on the train.
It's pretty good overall. Only thing would change is the beginning part to make it sound more sinister like the original FF 6 boss theme along with some more bass to it. However the guitar part and onwards was glorious
well... how about ... both tanks have to wedge their weapons at the same time, causing a skip of the train... and a dps applies additional lift dipping the cow catcher into the track, flipping the locomotive up and over the freight car...? or not.
