Getting your child a job in your own company is not the same as getting them drafted into an organization known to only take the best of the best. A fairer comparison would be for a parent with pull, getting their kid a guaranteed spot in the Olympics sport of their choice despite not being ranked high enough or to do well enough to be part of that selection process.

The business side of basketball may gain in the short term from all this drama and exposure from Lebron James and his son Bronny James being able to be on the same court together. It's something no other father and son has ever achieved but it's a nothing burger to genuine sports fans that respect and care about the competitiveness of the game.
