Good stuff! I have the Koh-i-noor hardtmuth version of this and use it all of the time. I keep it in my computer bag and have yet to break a lead :). You can get silver, white and colored leads too!
Hello Jimmy! Good work as always! This video reminded me of my childhood… I was 12 years old and it was difficult to find rubber strips for a slingshot, then one of the adults helped me make it and I was insanely happy. Thank you so much!
*childhood memories intensifies*. We used to build these using raw branches, using a lot of time to find a good candidate. Good time. Great vid, thanks
Its cool to have a slingshot, Jimmy! Everybody should make one. And Joerg Sprave is the slingshot master, who we all learn from. And thanks for the icepick, it was beautiful!!
This was an absolute joy to watch! I could not stop smiling. From the masterful skill that you display on the handsaw to the joy expressed in the final product. I love this video👍
Brings back a lot of memories. Me and my pals got into a lot of trouble with wrist rockets and 1/4 inch ball bearings back in middle school. Wasn't a street light intact in a three mile radius of any of our houses.
Jimmy man you are a absolute wizard on the bandsaw. Very beautiful design on the end result. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Can't wait to see what you decide to make next. Keep making God bless
Very cool your project. It reminded me a lot of my childhood. Here in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil we call it "funda". Everyone stay there with LORD.
I could make that too if I had ten bandsaws! Loved this one Jimmy. Especially the free form nature of it. These are the pointless projects I love to do the most.
I'm glad to see that I wasn't the only one that made slingshots in shop class. Never this fancy. My poor shop teacher's blood pressure is going up right now.
I still have the original Wrist Rocket slingshot with non-collapsible wrist brace that I've had since I was a kid. It's one of the scary black ones with high capacity leather pouch. Banned in the nanny States of NY, NJ, RI, and MA. (Guess who runs those States)
if you want the pencil in the opening shot .. affiliate link in the description.. if you buy though this link I get free ice cream xo

Man, whatever you used as a projectile was nuts.
AhahAAAA! Good one.
used to have a wrist rocket as a kid, was loads of fun...very nice reminder of those days
Your ideas alone are interesting and impressive, the finished products are even more remarkable
The Slingshot Channel guy was shooting 3/4 inch ball bearings. The impact force was measured equal to a .45 cal. 1911. Unbelievable.
It depends on distance also there’s a lot more at play than just impact force
Not that I would volunteer to stand in front of either one
